everything was absolutely delicious!Huge thanks to Ellie for taking such good care of us.

We ordered the Cowboy Burger, the Minda Burger, mac & cheese, and deep-fried pickles--and everything was absolutely delicious! The service was great, especially for such a busy restaurant. Huge thanks to Ellie for taking such good care of us. Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend, best friend and I came here. We got sat, they took our drinks, brought us our appetizer and then took our order. We sat at the table for an hour with no service and no food, we watched multiple tables with the same amount of people come in, get their food, eat and leave before someone even checked on us. After an hour we eventually got up and left. They gave us our food in boxes but when we got home (maybe a 3 min drive) everything was soggy. My steak that's supposed to be rare was most definitely not, my boyfriend burger is extremely undercooked and the french dip was soggy and cold and they didn't add the sauce or the cheese. They put my salad in the same exact container as my steak and fries so it's extremely soggy and warm. I heard good stuff about this place but unfortunately was extremely disappointed and still had to pay $80+. I will not be coming back to this place and I am extremely worried about eating this food. It's completely un-edible.

23/11/23 Day before Thankgiving. We wanted some quick dinner and my in-laws highly recommends their clam chowder. First & foremost, service was outstanding, a great pair of hostess and bartender running the whole show. My hubby & I ordered their very scrumptious clam chowder which included 2 slices of wonderful Sourdough bread. We also love the side order of sweet potato tots. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu next we visit. I also highly recommend their House Ginger Soda - so refreshing.

Great food, and amazing staff. Spicy margaritas are the best! Will definitely return on our annual trip.

While visiting Cottage Grove we decided to walk old downtown and have a cocktail before walking around to find a good dinner place. The Ax & Fiddle was a great find! Our hostess, Abbey was amazing! She told us a little about each food item while we were waiting for our cocktails and decided on the Cornmeal Crusted Artichoke Hearts. THEY.WERE.SO.YUMMY. Its a big serving so we were glad we are splitting their Bear Burger. Perfectly cooked with great taste the tillamook sharp cheese really added to it! Part of this building & restaurant is a huge bookstore. You could literally wander through this area for hours. Awesome set up! if you are visiting Cottage Grove this is a great place for dinner and drinks.

That being said, the food I got was not very good. I guess I overestimated what an Asian rice bowl coming from a pub in a small town would be like, but it was much too sweet, salty, and overly sauced to the point where it was like eating a bowl of wet rice. I am not a picky person and will usually eat things that aren't my favorite for the sake of not wasting food, but I really struggled with this. I hate writing bad reviews because I know owning a restaurant is hard, but that is my honest opinion about the food. Warning: if you have dogs, there is a huge vine of grapes attached to the fence of the outdoor seating area out front. We moved to a dingy side area to avoid the possibility of our dogs eating a grape. There were cobwebs under the table and a man walked around us to spray pesticides on the weeds in the concrete, while we were eating and while our dogs were standing there. There was a dog water bowl near where he was spraying that we stayed far away from. Service was fine, but overall, a meh experience.

Nice small group of tables outside some of which have umbrellas for shade. The menu is very nice with a good number of options that are vegan friendly. I ended up ordering the salmon plate which had a nice portion of perfectly cooked salmon topped with a couple onion slices and some avocado. Subbed out a fruit bowl for the potatoes and toast and added a couple more eggs and a sausage patty to round out. Really good coffee that the server kept topped up for me. Very impressed for a small diner with the food prep, the atmosphere, and the Service. Everything all in with tip was about $40. There's a few places like this in cottage Grove, but I definitely recommend you give this one a try.

The menu has pretty good variety. I ordered the Stuffed Poblano. The description looked like it was missing something so I ordered cheese to go on it. Flavor-wise it was ok. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well. There was a huge amount of sweet potato cubes with it. I like sweet potatoes but it was just too much and overpowered the dish. The temperature of my food wasn't hot but just warm...was it sitting around on the pass too long? I didn't like that but I didn't go to the trouble of sending it back. My husband got the Beans and Rice with the chicken breast on top, like what came on mine. He liked his well enough. Our other friend is a wanna-be-healthy guy and a vegetarian so he got Trust Your Gut. It had avacado, sauerkraut, tempeh, and...I don't know what else. You can scrutinize the picture if you want. He liked his. But since I'm the one giving the star rating, I'm giving it a 3. If we are ever in Cottage Grove again I want to try somewhere else.

Draper is an excellent brewery in my mind. The beers are experimental and creative with their beers making some pretty unusual beers that taste great! We have had three of their beers so far on two separate occasions and both times the beers were very impressive and enjoyable! One of the beers we had was the Thumb Ring. A Wild Ale that was excellent. It was aged on peaches, blackberries and coconut. Flavors featured with this beer are tartness, peachy, cherry and a hint of purposeful mustiness. Wit Bat was another beer we had. Also a Wild Ale this beer was wonderful also! Flavors to find with this Ale are tartness and jam like. The jam like qualities come from the marionberries and the Coriander brings it an extra depth. A very effervescent and elegant Ale. The third beer we had was the Earl of Tenmile. This was a Sour Ale with flavors of tart, sour, some sweetness and a clean finish. It is a blend of two and four year spontaneously fermented Ales. Such great beers and ales Draper has to offer and I would love to continue to explore with more of their beverage options which I hope would be in the near future.

They've done a great job of turning it into a bar/restaurant. I'm sorry I didn't get my server's name, because she was very friendly and helpful. I decided to start with the Cajun tots. I asked how spicy they were, and she said that they could go mild with the Cajun spice. It also came with a peppercorn ranch. I also ordered the Aztec salad. Romaine, corn & black bean salsa, avocado, tortilla strips, cheddar cheese, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, onion, chipotle dressing (I asked them to leave off the jalapeño...). She asked me if I wanted to add chicken, and I said yes. I added grilled chicken The food comes, the salad is very decent sized, and the order of tater tots was massive. The salad was a bit on the spicy side. That's on me, because I didn't read the menu very well, and I didn't realize that it had the chipotle dressing. My lips were definitely tingling a little bit. It was toward the high end of what I like for spice, but it was still very good. The chicken was tender and flavorful, with just a tiny bit of a char on it. It definitely added to the flavor. The tots were excellent. I'm glad I had her go light on the Cajun spice, cause even with light spice, again it was a bit spicy. Within what I like for spicy, but I definitely noticed it. The ranch helped calm the spice a bit I had enough tots left over to bring back to my room for breakfast. Prices are a little bit on the high end, but for what I got, quantity and quality, reasonable. Plus, the advantage that Oregon does not have sales tax. They also offer a military/veterans discount. I would stop here again the next time I'm passing through. Thank you!
