a flight of beers
Robert F.

We absolutely loved this place! We have never been to a brewery that was also a feed store (they're separated). Lots of seating inside and a stage for live music; seating outside as well. A good number of beers on tap to try and cans to go. The food looked amazing, shepherds pie, cottage pie, etc.. great pub food We had some beers and enjoyed the service and our experience

Two pints and a glance at the menu

We stayed in Cottage Grove on New Years Eve to be away from a large city and all the loud celebration that comes with it. I'm so glad we zoomed in on the map or we would have missed this spot. Coast Fork was easy to find, and had amazing energy. The other patrons, the staff, and the live band were all so friendly. We had our dog with us (avoiding the 'loud celebrations ' as mentioned before) and easily found an open spot on their enclosed heated patio. Everything has to be ordered from the counter, but the service was quick and the quality was fantastic. The house beers were all delicious - the brown was my favorite - and the food was simple but filling. Exactly what we needed after driving all day. The BLT and Dark Sister sammies hit the spot. Check out their event calendar before you go because they seem to always have something going on! Live music, gatherings, and much more. The band we listened to playing that night definitely had a following and they now have two more fans (it was Kelly Thibodeaux and the Étouffé Band). This may sound weird, but get the beer cheese soup. Don't question it. Just do it. You'll be happy you did.

Meat pie

Came here on a rainy afternoon and this place warmed my body up. I came here to check out the murals in Cottage Grove and came upon this place. Obviously I didn't enjoy my beer cheese soup (lol...sarcasm). Come and enjoy this wonderful establishment. You will not regret it and it is basically in the heart of historic downtown Cottage Grove.

Chicken pot pie

We were at an event and needed some shade so we stepped in. I had the chicken pot pie as suggested by another Yelp user and I wasn't disappointed. It was so flavorful and unique, I would definitely go back for another. My son had the Dark Sister sandwich, the roast beef was SO good and it was very delicious, he ate it all. We shared a slice of Heath vanilla cream pie and it was very very tasty, not like anything we have ever had before.

The best Bavarian Pretzel in town.

The music was great. The pizza was awful--burnt crust and pepperoni and greasy to boot.

It was a little bit of chaos on a Friday night. There was a band and limited seating, but man it was really good and tasty stuff.

Every beercation I go on, there's one standout experience and for this year it was Alesong. I've…read morebeen aware of this brewery for a few years, we get a selection of bottles and kegs. But for me most of their styles aren't to my taste so I haven't tried many more than the stouts. Visiting their brewery is a unique experience, and if you appreciate beer, wine, food, or farm-to-table initiatives, this is a must-visit. It's located outside of Eugene, a worthwhile and beautiful drive through farms and wineries. The brewery is in a field overlooking more; amazing big skies and plants all around. The house has a number of tables with a small bar and big windows/doors that can open during the nice parts of the year. They also have a lot of outdoor seating, including a tent and warmers for the colder months. We were there on a weekday around lunchtime so it wasn't busy. Immediately the bartender was welcoming and quick to get us going, including talking us through the menu. We ordered pretty much the entire menu of food, that rotates as produce is available. The kitchen is a separate trailer building outside and it was fun to watch them get ready for later meals that day. We shared a bit of everything, which was fun. A memorable experience was the truffle farmer bringing one in he just found the size of a softball, which they then shaved over the fish dish. Their beers are wild fermented, then blended in a similar process to some wines. I enjoyed branching out with different fruited varieties, plus stouts and rare variants. Their tasting boards are beautifully done as well. The beer competition medals are proudly displayed with their merchandise, they also have a large selection of bottled beers to go. I bought a bottle of peppermint stout to share at home, which was wonderful and it was worth the effort. Prices are reasonable for the terroir of the food and beer, it's worth it to spend a little more than miss out. The bartender also took us on a tour, explained how they blended. It was a wonderful memory and Alesong will always be one of those special breweries for me.

Hey guys, your dog rule is buried 3 links deep in your email invite. My reward for being a member for over two years has been being treated rudely at both events they INVITED me to. Your beer is really good but $16 a pint AND being treated like an asshole? Nope.

The food was solid,…read moreservice was fine, and the fried pickle appetizer plus the chips were definitely worth ordering. My only complaint was that they were out of mac and cheese as a side order, but somehow still had it available if you ordered the rib platter, a little confusing. What really makes this place stand out is the great selection of beers and cocktails. The space feels clean, modern, and new, which makes it an easy place to hang out. I just wish they had a larger outdoor seating area instead of the small patio with only a few chairs. Overall, we'll definitely be back for the food and drinks. Cheers!

I came in here with the family a couple nights ago. It was busy, and we were seated next to the…read morekids play area. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and fries. It came slathered in a spicy mustard. Pickles balanced it when you got a bite, but there wasn't enough. It could have benefitted from more pickles, maybe a coleslaw to really balance it. Another in our party ordered the pork chop. Which he couldn't finish, citing it was too rich and heavy. Again, acid would have helped here. Note the theme of unbalanced dishes. Another ordered a BLT. They were out of normal bread and only had rye. Which it was the whitest rye I've ever seen. But the complaint here was it was over toasted. I watched it being consumed, and it looked liked trying to chew through two croutons with stuffing in the middle. Yet the bacon wasn't crispy. Everybody else in our party was satisfied with their food. Portion size seemed really small. I ate on several appetizers everyone ordered, had a beer, ate all of my meal, and had dessert, and didn't feel very full. Normally I have my husband finish my food for me. I'd imagine he'd walk away and need to go elsewhere for another meal just to feel full. Kitchen was slower than a directionally challenged turtle, so the wait staff had to continuously apologize to multiple tables for the wait times. Which the wait staff was doing their absolute best, and were really helpful. Parking is terrible. It's cramped. My in-laws don't have a large car, a Subaru, and everyone except the driver had to get out prior to parking, just to ensure we actually could get out. Yes, you can park in the lines without too much trouble. But can you get out of your vehicle without smacking into the next car? Nope. Not unless you're Gumby and can snake your way out over the top of the door. Would I return? If I'm spending my own money to eat here, absolutely not. This was a birthday party, and the birthday celebrant chose it. So I had no say, and that was fine. But I wouldn't eat here willingly on my own choosing, especially if my husband is with me due to the small portion size.

From the moment we walked in, we loved the classic brewery vibe--laid-back, welcoming, and super clean. The food, drinks, and service were all genuinely fantastic. I was honestly shocked that it was so empty on a Sunday afternoon because this spot deserves to be packed. It's the perfect place to enjoy a drink, hang out, and grab some really delicious food. The nachos were SO GOOD--we nearly polished off the entire plate without even trying. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the potato soup were both incredibly comforting, flavorful, and exactly what we were craving. One of the sweetest touches was when we asked the owner if she had any cards, and she actually loaned us a deck of UNO to play while we hung out. Such a small gesture, but it made the experience feel so personal and homey. Overall, I had such a wonderful time here and would absolutely come back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and a genuinely great atmosphere!
