If you want to find that hidden gem of a restaurant, ask the locals. Coast Fork Brewing and Feed is one of those gems. The first challenge was to decide what to ordered for lunch. I was torn between one of the two pastrami sandwiches or the Pub Sub. I asked the person behind the counter and was told that they were all good choices. I picked the Pub Sub which came with crispy baked chips, along with a mug of the house Root Beer. The root beer was delicious and the Pub Sub was off the charts good. The half of the sandwich that I took home, was so good that it was delicious after riding around in the back of my car for several hours. I hope to get back to Cottage Grove so I can ordered at least three more items off the menu. read more

We stopped for lunch and beers. We had the pretzel with cheese and the shepherds pie, both were EXCELLENT. The seating outside was perfect, tables nicely spaced and not on top of each other, lots of shade, dog friendly and nice flowers and plants to look at. We spent 2 hours here so my husband could try several of their beers. It was such a nice place to hang out with our pup and cool off on a hot day. I poked around the cute feed store that it attached. They had cute kitchen and household items as well like candles, soap, decor, etc. You order inside, they bring your food out and you bus your table. read more

We stayed in Cottage Grove on New Years Eve to be away from a large city and all the loud celebration that comes with it. I'm so glad we zoomed in on the map or we would have missed this spot. Coast Fork was easy to find, and had amazing energy. The other patrons, the staff, and the live band were all so friendly. We had our dog with us (avoiding the 'loud celebrations ' as mentioned before) and easily found an open spot on their enclosed heated patio. Everything has to be ordered from the counter, but the service was quick and the quality was fantastic. The house beers were all delicious - the brown was my favorite - and the food was simple but filling. Exactly what we needed after driving all day. The BLT and Dark Sister sammies hit the spot. Check out their event calendar before you go because they seem to always have something going on! Live music, gatherings, and much more. The band we listened to playing that night definitely had a following and they now have two more fans (it was Kelly Thibodeaux and the Étouffé Band). The coast fork dip was probably one of the best French dips I have ever had. Substantial portions with a superb Swiss cheese. The bread was warm and tasty with a great crunch, which made dipping in the auju perfect. A side of horseradish was a nice touch too! read more

For a small city brewery restaurant, this place is great: they have a varied menu that caters to every dietary need, a full bar with good cocktails, a great beer list with delicious beers, local Kombucha and Cider, and home brewed soda pops. The seating is not comfortable, if you think about it, bring a cushion... There's live music regularly, and a great community. You order at the counter and can open a tab, there is no short line for people who have already ordered, but the staff is efficient, and you don't wait long for your turn even if it's slammed. The Pretzels are to die-for, get the beer-cheese, I like to have it with a salad. The pot pies are also delicious, and you can tell that the Restaurant is dedicated to fresh quality food at a great price. I really wanted to like this place, honest. But between having to practically beg for more mayo with my dry sandwich and having the horseradish that came on the sandwich be put barely on the two corners of the bread, I really didn't like this Pub at all. Other thane that great staff, the really nice young girl serving us got mixed up when i asked for a steak knife to cut my sandwich, she brought me a butter knife. lol Also I wish the bar was part of the seating area, instead there was a giant wall between and you couldn't sit at the bar. It was a little bit of chaos on a Friday night. There was a band and limited seating, but man it was really good and tasty stuff.

My fiancé's family lives nearby so we decided after a long and painful plane ride, we needed and should get a drink to unwind. I am so glad we did. Upon walking in, we are greeted by the friendliest bartenders there, the drinks were simply delicious and the strawberry rhubarb pie was a little piece of heaven. We all decided to sit outside in the patio since the weather was so nice!!! I can't remember what everyone else got but I got the cherry sour and it tasted just like a cherry sourhead! The ambiance is really chill and the bluegrass music playing in the background was perfect! What I liked most about the brewstation is that even though it was our (me and my fiancé) first time there, we were treated like family (probably because his mom and step dad knows everyone there) but still, everyone was extremely friendly and everyone seemed to talk to everyone else there. Seating is on a first come first serve basis but everyone was just so friendly that I'm sure you can pull up and chair and just sit with them. We got the strawberry rhubarb pie as well and it was so yummy! You can tell it is freshly made in the shop and what I learned after was that all their food is made in house! Plus, I also found out that they have fresh local honey as well. We brought our own mason jar and got local honey for me to bring back to sunny Vegas! Man, I really wanted to like this place. Stopped in today on a drive to Corvallis and was encouraged by the beer-themed decor. Our order was the mushroom and chicken pot pies, and the grilled cheese. I was halfway through what I thought was the mushroom pie before I realized it was the chicken; that doesn't bode well to the amount of chicken in a chicken pot pie. The mushroom had a bread stuffing-type topping that was disappointing, as I expected a mushroom pie to be an actual pie, not a casserole. The flavor was overpowered by something acidic that neither my husband nor I could place. It certainly did not taste like mushroom. It looked and tasted like something my teenage son would make out of Thanksgiving day leftovers. The grilled cheese sandwich looked and tasted anemic; maybe if they had put it on a smaller plate it would have seemed more robust. It was maybe an inch high and sunken in the middle. Pub Sub, Cottage Pie, Tuna Melt and their signature Beer Cheese Soup (deliciousness in a bowl), topped off by sharing a slice of their famous chocolate pecan pie. All totally yum! Seriously, what isn't there to love about The Brewstation? I've been frequenting and loving this bar for the last 4 years and I've only seen it get better and better as time has gone on. They have an incredible selection of microbrews and imports, lots on tap and even more in the bottle. Their food is prepared in house and delicious, they have an awesome out door seating area. I have mixed feelings about this place. First off it was really pretty. The patio was shady and lush. Secondly, the food just wasn't that good. We were wishing for something a little different than a sandwich so we ordered a cottage meat pie with ground beef, and a shepherds pie with lamb. Both arrived piping hot on the outside and almost cold on the inside. I am assuming that they heated them in the microwave. Both pies were extremely watery and just screamed for some salt and seasoning. The potatoes were quite chunky and mixed with cheese. Unfortunately they were undercooked. To be fair, the sandwiches served to the table beside us looked really good. Perhaps we just miss ordered. Not sure however, if I will come back and try it again.
