Wow!!! What can I say about this place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff. After I signed the waiver I was led into one of the throwing areas and was immediately taught the rules and how to properly throw an axe. Loved this unique experience! I had a blast! The man at the front desk (with the long beard) was extremely nice! It was my birthday so he played songs I wanted to hear and was super cool and friendly! Overall great experience. I do have a couple complaints. Our "axepert" kind of abandoned us shortly after we started playing. At the beginning of our session, she told us I wouldn't have to choose between the traditional lane and interactive lane because we could split our time and do both lanes. I expected her to let us know when our time was half way through so we could switch to the other lane. Shortly after explaining how to throw the axe she literally disappeared. No idea where she went. I didn't see her for the rest of the hour. Finally, after losing track of time, I asked another axepert to set us up on the interactive lane. Unfortunately we only had about 15 mins on this lane before our "time was up". When our "time was up" a completely different axepert came to tell us that we were "way past our time". It had been exactly 1 hour and 15 mins since we started playing. We paid for an hour and a half. I tried to explain this to him in the nicest way possible but he was not having it. He said "no you've been here way past your time". I said "well that's not true, but even so, we just got to this lane 15 mins ago and there's a group of 7 of us." He said "you've been here a while". Anyway... that axepert did not handle the situation well. And our original woman was nowhere to be found. Other than that, awesome place. read more

So I came here with my girlfriend and this place is just great. The atmosphere is very nice with a game of thrones looking chair created with axes and definitely has a Viking vibe to the place. The instructors are very friendly and helpful. My only problem is that the place is near a sketchy neighborhood so if I have any tip just make sure to park close or wait for your carpool ride to arrive before going outside. My friends and I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THIS! We did this activity for 1.5 hrs. Which I totally recommend for everyone! The time moves so fast you cannot believe it's over. The place does serve alcohol and you have to wear closed toe shoes. We did ace throwing, card throwing, light axe throwing and something else I cannot recall the name. (Sorry!) but it was kinda shaped like a star? Lol. But anyway. It was 100% fun! They explained everything and gave us fair warning when our time was up. We were a group of 4 so 2 teams. He was much more of a natural, but I got the hang of the axe as well! They also let us try throwing stars and knives, which is wicked hard, but a great laugh when you miss! Five stars! I've never heard about axe throwing in my life until my sister got a voucher for my girlfriend and I to try for Christmas! The location is in downtown Miami and although the building might look plain from the outside, the inside is updated and decorated with all kinds of cool things like TVs all around to watch any kind of show, sports, or events you like, a bar that serves non-alcoholic beverages (very affordable prices and is even Bring Your Own Beer!) and snacks, outdoor covered patio to relax on,tables with games on them inside if you're needing a break from the axe throwing exercise! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. When we first entered the axe throwing cages we were instructed on how to properly throw the axes and what to do, and what not to do. After a few practice throws you really start to get the hang of it and the fun begins! Just over about an hour of throwing the axes at the 'traditional' range (this is where you're just throwing a large axe at planks of wood with painted numbers and markers), we were given the opportunity to try out the 'interactive' targets (this is where you're throwing smaller axes, knives, and smaller sharp objects at the bottom of wooden planks, a softer wood, and there is a digital target projected onto the wood where you can actually have a digital score of where you hit the target and where you missed) which was tons of fun! Overall the place was a blast, very clean, and friendly staff. If you're a beginner such as myself I'd recommend staying with the traditional target, but if you've done it before I'd say go for the 'interactive' target. The ONLY "downside" I have to say, which isn't directly related to this building, is the parking situation. The fenced in parking lot across the street was full of vagrants and was pretty run down. If you're looking for parking and don't want to risk parking in that lot or on the street, there is a Bright Line covered parking garage one block away that allows you to park for $6 for a 24 hour period and has security walking around. We will deff be returning for more axe throwing and this time with more friends! read more
