Went to throw some axes for the first time and had a blast. We had Quincy as our instructor and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable, personable, and funny! They have lots of options for sharp things you can throw at the wall, not just axes. The bartender was also really nice and attentive! The atmosphere in there is very cool, it gives chic lumber jack. 10/10 would throw again.

Great place to go axe throwing with family and friends. The staff is so nice & helpful and really add to the experience. They help you out at the beginning, offering tips and making sure every person gets an axe on the board before letting you have free reign. They are available for questions and additional help if needed as well. There's a nice little bar inside for drinks and plenty of table space to hang out while you aren't individually throwing. Call ahead if you have a bigger group, just to make sure they have the space available. I highly recommend it for all, whether you are visiting or a local!

I love this place. It's fun and enjoyable. Make sure you make an appointment or you'll be waiting a while, especially on weekends. The workers there are very pleasant and will go over everything you need to know along with tips on how to make that high score. They only serve beers, wine, soda and water. No mix drinks and no food. We have a great time everytime.

This was my 1st time here, 2nd time axe throwing. They have a full bar in addition to the axe throwing. The guy who checked us in was friendly. A different guy, John, showed us how to throw the axe, keep score, etc. These axes are lighter and you throw with just one hand. There is just 1 target and you compete against each other. We had a lot of fun and would definitely come back here.

Who knew you could combine drinking alcohol with axe throwing? Jackpot! Game of Axes is a lot of fun, comprising two bar areas (one by the front of the establishment and the other in a more exclusive area past one row of axe throwing lanes), two sides of axe throwing lanes, and standing pub tables, Games of Axes offers patrons a solid craft beer selection with some wine and mead options, with hourly rentals for small parties (1-5), larger parties (6+ people), and big-ass parties (25+ people). You receive instruction on how to throw an axe before you have at it from one of the chill instructors. I also discovered they have an axe-throwing league. This place is definitely a hoot and a holler. The bartenders are super cool who served me wine and beer. Parking is fairly easy in the strip plaza where it's located off of Military Trail in the northbound direction, a couple of miles south of Woolbright. Additionally, they have (at least on the weekends) food trucks if you're feeling hungry as you throw some axes, drinks some brews, and take photos of sitting in the Game of Axes throne. Did I mention they have a Game of Axes throne? Yes, they have a Game of Axes throne.

Came to celebrate a friends birthday and there were actually 3 other birthdays while we were there. It was a Saturday night at 8:30pm and the place was packed. We made a reservation and they were ready for us on time. Masks are required upon entering and they said you can remove when yo are at your axe lane but no one was really wearing masks at all and it wasn't enforced. I will start with saying the game is fun and it's definitely something to try out. Where I have a difficult time is the cost. It's $35 per person for two hours. So for a night out with my husband it was $78 after taxes. We played with 5 other people on two lanes. By the end of the two hours, I had only thrown the axe maybe 20 times. So the price is steep and not really something I would be willing to pay on a regular basis. I wish it was a flat hourly rate for the bay like other companies do and not per person. They have a small bar at the front. I do like that they have a nice selection for seltzer's, beers, and ciders so that's a plus. But my seltzer cost $7 so I cut myself off after just two. The instructors and staff are all nice and very thorough. They offer tips and tricks especially when they see someone who is having a difficult time landing the axe. The concept is fun, the place is cool, the staff are lovely. All great things to have a fun night. Just a pretty expensive night.

I just hosted my birthday celebration here with 20+ of my friends! Our axe master Justin was absolutely fabulous and having fun with us! The group consensus is that we all want to come back! Thanks so much GOA.

When I came here the first time during the winter holiday break, we didn't make the smart decision to book a reservation ahead of time. A month later and my husband and I decided to hit this spot up to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What better way than to throw axes for the celebration? ;) We made a reservation and were immediately able to start our training after checking in. An axe master demonstrated how to throw the axes before we started our matchup. I was comfortable throwing it with two hands while my husband braved it with one. Expect a lot of bad throws when you are a first timer. Not a lot of people do this stuff for a living..lol! After getting into the swing of things, we were able to get the hang of it. It's all about good hand and eye coordination as well as balance. The staff was super easy with teaching everyone and giving tips on how to throw an axe on what one is comfortable with. They even have leagues in case anybody is up for a higher challenge. There is a bar there and we opted on not to drink since we were so full from getting dinner before hand. We went on a Tuesday night for an awesome BOGO offer and it came out to around 24 bucks for the 2 of us for a hour of axe throwing. I found that was enough time for a small group and it can be increased to two hours if the group consists of 6 or more people. Just remember to wear closed shoes since it's for your own and everyone else's safety.

We went to Games of Axes to celebrate my nephews 21st birthday. It was perfect. Our Axe Master, "The Viking, really made it extra special by periodically giving us tips so we were throwing like a pro in no time. The place is clean and a lot of fun. I highly recommend heading this place. The people were great and the place is a fun environment. Don't forget to ring the bell every time you get that ax to hit the bullseye. Enjoy

Came here for the first time with my lady and my best friend yesterday. This place absolutely rocked. The bar was ridiculouslyyyy good for a axe-throwing spot. They had a ton of mead and different beers - very unusual to see, much less at an axe-throwing venue. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The venue itself was also really sick. Dope setup. The axe-master was a decent guy and taught fairly well. I was the best axe-thrower in the building (that's not part of my review, but I just wanted you to know). I would definitely come back here again.

Always a fun night! Went with friends just to get out of the house and on Tuesdays it's bogo games.. even better! It was such a fun time... the axe masters are great and keep the spirit alive while you play. You can even challenge the axe master to a

When we got there, they had us fill out the waiver and then they explained the rules of the game. Afterwards, we were able to begin. It was pretty cool having a bar next to us, so we ordered some drinks. We would have ordered food but we ate before coming. We both had an amazing time axe throwing. We would definitely come back and probably try food too now that we know that's an option as well. Once we were done with our time, we decided to play pool which was next to the axe throwing cage. Overall, this is a great place for groups, couples and anyone looking to give axe throwing a shot.
