This is the most genius idea ever - a field trip every single day! The kids go to water, parks, arcade, ninja courses, painting, studio they even visit the Miami Dolphins training camp! Its a short technical par 3 course, so can be a fun challenge for people that know what they are doing, but also short so newbies don't feel bad playing it. for a simple course it has many types of holes. there 3 or 4 water holes, open field throws and tight lane woods shots. The wildlife is impressive for a small park too. There are lots of ducks, geese and squirrels. they all get fed by people so they will shy away from ya. There is also racoons, rabbits and around hole 15 there is a rooster that has followed me for a couple a few times. Nice guy. It'll always be a course I go back to, its simplicity makes it great.

Located off 5th street , matter of fact the park used to be known as "5th Street Park", it has undergone three name changes. The park is both Dog Friendly and Pedestrian Friendly. This park has a genuinely nice children playground that is shaded with large mature trees. This is important to me and has several benches to sit down. The park is a good size, now double in size since when the City of Plantation acquired the Elks Club back in the early 2000's . There are nice walking trails and bathroom facilities too. Along the walking trails and surrounding the Gazebo you will find dedication bricks throughout. A brick can be personalized and installed for approximately $125.00. The squirrels that live there never go hungry as I see people all the time feeding them peanuts. If you are in the area, Rae Carol Armstrong Liberty Tree Park is absolutely worth a visit.

The original name of the…read morepark was 5th Street Park but the name was changed to Liberty Tree in 1976 to honor the United States Bicentennial which marked the 200 year anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. In 1976 an Oak Tree was planted in the park to honor the Liberty Tree in Boston that was planted in 1646. In 2009 the park name was changed to the Rae Carole Armstrong Liberty Tree Park after Rae Carole Armstrong who was mayor of Plantation from 1999-2011. In 2003 4.9 additional acres of parkland were purchased from the Elk Club expanding the park to it's current total of 9.28 acres. Through the years the members of the Junior Woman's Club have donated the signature white gazebo, brick ways, and statues for the park. In 2007 a push was made to make the park environmentally friendly and green. A comfort station, recycled plank fencing, benches, solar powered lighting and bathroom fixtures, and a bike rack were added as part of this project. This is a wonderful neighborhood park for the City of Plantation. During my visit I saw a lot of families enjoying the playground and green space in the park. There is a walking/jogging path for exercise that winds through the park. Every November the Plantation Junior Woman's Club hosts the Art in the Park event. It's an arts and crafts show and this year they have added food and alcohol vendors as well. The date for this years event is November 10 and 11.

You would think that in a horse camp kids would spend most of the time with the horses. That's not the case here. Out of five hours at camp, my daughter literally sat on a horse for no longer than 5 minutes. At this camp, the group lesson means 20 kids sitting waiting for their turn to ride the horse around in a circle 3 times. That's it. Rest of the day is spent sitting and waiting. Terrible experience for my daughter and she was in tears asking me not to send her back. She did not return. I called the place to see if I could use the remainder of the time in camp for something else, like maybe a horse lesson or two. I was told flat out "no" and was directed to go read the contract. Lawyer up, friends! No partial refunds either. I should have looked at the reviews here first as all the negative reviews are spot on. Any business that threatens you with contracts from their customer service desk should tell you all about their operation. Stay away.

And i could not be more prouder of my daughter. If you are looking for a place to take lessons or board your horse (which are basically part of your family) please come here. The riders and the horses are taken care of beyond normal expectations. The horses here are so pampered and so spoiled you don't have to ever worry about them.

This particular park is open from sunrise to sunset. While small at only one acre, it is still enjoyable for taking kids out to play. There is a small shade covered playground with a slide, climbing equipment, and swings. There are also shade trees, benches, a picnic table, and open space. There is no dedicated parking or restrooms. An important point to note is that it is not fenced in, so you have to keep an eye on children to make sure they don't wander off. It ended up being the perfect place to sit for a few minutes while I planned my next destination. If you're looking for a larger park with more recreational amenities, I recommend nearby Brian Piccolo Park. If you're looking for a nature walk, Wolf Lake Park is also close by.

Many people come here at various times of the day to exercise or walk their dog. I am saddened to recently see the sculptures of Rock-ET man, a local favorite outdoor public scultpture by a Key West artist, is no longer upright and in need of repair. Due to the area of the park where Rock-ET man stood being roped off I am hopeful he will be repaired. Well maintained by the city. Such a gorgeous and lovely park ... Whispering Woods park. I came here because after pictures of burrowing owls in Davie a friend told me they had burrowing…read moreowls here. This park is great for runners and walkers. There is a sandy trail that runs through the park that loops on itself. The trail has mile markers so you know how far you have gone. Adjacent to the parking lot is a workout station with various stations for working out different parts of your body. At the very back of the park is some mounds and a plague identifying them as owl burrows. I don't know if they are being currently being used because there didn't seem to be an exit to the burrows. They seemed to be completely enclosed mounds. In any case they didn't look like the burrows I saw in Davie and there weren't any owls at home. Other park amenities include picnic tables, a pavilion, and a bathroom. One last thing of note was the park contained a statue of a man made of rocks called Rock-et Man. It was nice to see families exercising together at the park. If your purpose is to work out then this park is great. All others can probably skip it.
