Not going to lie I was a bit intimidated at first at the thought of throwing axes but it's actually really fun and a great chill arm workout for those coming out of quarantine like me... The axes aren't super sharp so I didn't feel like I was in danger at any time, but they're sharp enough to stick to the bullseye, which is enough for me! TIP: adjust your stance (closer or further) depending on how the axe hits the target! Also, you only need to take one step before throwing the axe but for some reason that felt awkward to me so I ended up taking a few steps and was still able to hit the target so don't worry too much about it and just have fun! read more

This was one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had . Luca was just flat out amazing. Very attentive, kind , and knowledgeable of the sport . Upon arrival we stated we had a reservation and they took care of us with the waivers . Once our time started we were given an amazing demonstration (by Luca) on how to and how to not throw , he made sure that we were safe and I even saw him helping people who struggle to get their axes stuck to a board. My one gripe would be that the guy in the hat forgot about me and my girlfriend on the lane assignment (i forgot his name) but he threw us in any lane , and the wood was already severely damaged so we could get anything to stick until we aimed for the outer edges. Other than that everyone was kind and respectful and they even took our pictures for us . We will definitely return, but we would just ask for our planks to.be replaced so we could have a better experience (already a great one) Please take the family out on a day of fun , this is very cheap way to blow off some steam while having a blast . First time at Axeventures Axe Throwing and I had a great time! The instructors were very friendly and helpful. You can tell that they enjoy their job and have a passion for axe throwing. Upon arrival, you sign a waiver and the instructor goes over some general rules and provides basic demonstrations to axe throwing. Afterwards, you get to throw your axes and the instructors goes around to see if you need further advice. We also played with knives which requires a different throwing technique. Knife throwing was interesting but we preferred the axes. As time went by, we got better at throwing and hit quite a few bullseyes! They have several lanes and each lane has lines to give people a sense of where to stand. It's nice how they offer different sizes of axes so that you can play around with different ones. I was looking for a family activity that was out of the ordinary (beyond movies, museums and hiking). So what's the next best thing? Ax Throwing!!! My biggest fear was that it would be too difficult for our 11-year-old son to master the art of throwing an ax. Figured it might be worth a shot, it was a total success! You do have to arrive 10 minutes early to sign the waiver, in the meantime, they go around and replace all the used up wooden target boards. You'll have to be a little patient because putting them up takes some time but it does make a BIG difference to your game. Highly recommend you make a reservation, that way your lane is assigned when you get there. They give you a 15 minute explanation on different ways to throw, where to stand, safety rules, etc. The thing that made it extra special was the incredibly nice staff that came around and offered you tips and worked with you to get the hang of it. One of the instructors came over and worked with my son, she brought over these baby axes that really improved his game. He really enjoyed the experience and is now looking forward to doing it monthly. Kudos to them for making this such a fun family outing! We will be back . read more

We went here for date night. We purchased tickets online the day of. They are very prompt with start and end times. There was a presentation on safety of what to do and what not do do which I appreciated especially because we are first time axe throwers. There were instructions on what games you can play, paper available for you to keep score. There are bigger axes, knives, and special bullseyes for extra money to make your experience better. However we opted out of it as we were already having fun with what you pay for. They are also available to teach you trick moves which we did. Staff also came around and monitored providing tips to get better at axe throwing. Upon leaving, they offered a discount for the next time you come. It was a great date night place. Randomly decided to give axe throwing and it was so much fun! We came on a Monday afternoon, so we were able to get our own individual lanes for 75 minutes. We got greeted by Lucca right away and made us feel welcome. The energy he gave us made us not as nervous. He walked us through safety precautions, showed us what to do & gave us tips.
