Had fun with bois, parking might be a challenge on weekends. But the instructor was great and explained the techniques associated with axe throwing pretty well. Although, an indoor bar could be a great addition.

Great activity for family or friends. Instructors are very helpful and their demo is informative yet short so you get to spend a lot of time axe throwing. They have binders with a bunch of different axe-throwing related games that you can play with friends and upon request, they'll teach you cool tricks. Also, ask them for a discount!!! If you try to book in-person and ask nicely, they can give you a coupon/discount code for a certain amount off of your purchase.

Really unique activity to try! Easier said and in demos than in real life - probably spent half the time still missing the board. Still fun and get some friendly competition. There are three axes sizes: small (pretty light), medium (few pounds) and large (more pounds). I thought the lightest axe was good for single hand throwing and control. The medium one was okay for two handed throwing, and the largest axe was honestly too heavy for me (and a bit uncomfortably heavy for my bf). Staff was friendly and after the demo let us be flexible to throw the axes and play our own games. Could have used a bit more instruction or help but throwing techniques are so variable. Good for date night or hanging out with a small group of friends.

First time axe throwing and I came with a friend. Very easy to make booking online. There's plenty of parking in the front and back area. Easy check in. There's a waiver you have to sign and they check you in. After a quick guide on how to throw, we went straight at it. Once we got the hang of it, it was pretty fun. Small medium large axes to throw. There's add ons you can buy like throwing knifes. There's a binder with different games you can do instead of just trying for bullseyes. We both ending up getting better towards the end. Would definitely come hang here again!

Our group of 12 had an axe-llent time at this venue! It's a hidden gem in downtown San Jose. Thomas was super helpful in explaining the steps of throwing axes and knives. It's about 9 rows of axe throwing about 1 hour and 15 minutes of playtime. They have a clean single bathroom! They have parking in the front and a venue in the back You'll have to sign a waiver then listen to a 2-5 minute explanation from their small to big axes. We had the extra big class and all of it was so fun to throw them. Would come here again!

What a fun work off-site we had at AxeVentures Axe Throwing! It was a good amount of time for everyone to learn, try, practice, and improve. The competitiveness in us came out as we tried to improve on our own throwing while also cheering for each other. A large group came in after we started. They took up most of the spaces. We stayed on the far end in our two lanes. There were a couple of table games on the tall table with stools for people waiting for their turn. It was lots of fun, thanks AxeVentures Axe Throwing!

What a seamless process to book a team outing! We had a team of 25 looking to vent out our stress with axes (don't worry not at each other). All I did was reach out via email with the information they were requesting, and they were ready with the invoice! We booked the first time slot which gave us flexibility. Now let me help you with some details from all the calling I did. - I was able to make a reservation a week in advance and just needed to pay a day or two before. - You can't go down in number, but you can add folks as needed at the venue! They are pretty flexible with this, as long as there is no other group. We reserved for 20, and we got to use all the lanes! - They were so nice to arrive a little earlier to open so that we can have the food delivered on time and give us time to set up! - You can cater food here! It was so nice because we got our favorite Slice of Homage pizza which was a huge hit! And they had additional tables that could be set up! - They sell water bottles, but they also allow you to bring your own. - They are willing to help give instructions again as folks were trickling in, which was important for safety but also was so nice of them with their patience. - They even had a binder of competitions and games to play with the axes, as well as seating to hang out and play other games on the table! - Many opportunities to take pics, videos, and even enjoy lunch! I can't think of a better place who can be this accommodating with a huge group like us. I would recommend this to everyone who is planning a corporate event, they made sure to take care of us! We had a blast getting over the fear of throwing axes and just bonding over a great time at a great place!

Super fun experience our host/teacher was very informative and cool! Def will do again, too bad no alcohol though!

Been here twice and had a blast both times! It's $42/per person for 1 hour 15 minutes which is plenty of time and a single lane can hold up to 5-6 people. Before getting started you sign waivers and read safety instructions which are pretty self-explanatory. A team member then gives us instructions and tips and tricks on how to throw the axe correctly which was very helpful. You honestly work up a sweat here while having fun. It takes a few tries to get a groove on/hang of things, but once you got it it's super fun! I do wish they had the AC on blast tho lol. Other than that it's a fun date spot, or to bond and hang with family and friends.

The instructor was awesome and had good teaching techniques with trick shots and was very knowledgeable

Since then, my son has attended both camp and several Parents' Night events, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kids World. The entire team is exceptional. I have experience with other children's camps, and Dasha Nonkin, the Kids Club Manager, really stood out. She was thorough, kind, organized, and very detail-oriented. It is clear that she takes tremendous pride in the camp program and in creating a meaningful experience for the children. My son was treated like gold. He did incredibly well, learned so much, and came away with stronger social skills, a better understanding of teamwork, and so much enthusiasm for the arts and crafts, projects, and activities. Remember those days in the playground and their climbing structures? Well, as an adult, The Peak is the place to reignite that hobby and enjoy the sport with a rich community of professionals and enthusiasts. This huge facility is shared among The Peak's climbing structures, an indoor volleyball court, a casual restaurant, and a small arcade. There aren't many parking spots up front but around the back of the building, you'll see plentiful spots. Once you enter the building, head to the left through the glass doors where you'll see the many climbing walls speckled with multiple colored protrusions. The pricing is transparent and it's all available upfront. They do have day passes, multi-visit passes as well as memberships that will waive your entrance fee. In addition to the entrance fee, you may also be required to pay for the harness and shoe rentals (members get a discounted price). They also have chalk for the more advanced climbers. If it's your first time, consider completing the waiver online ahead of time. You may be asked to go through a quick orientation regarding the use of their auto-belay system, however if you already know how to belay traditionally, they may ask you to go through additional training just to be sure. Each wall seemed to feature a variety of colors to distinguish the different difficulty levels for more advanced climbers. Aside from the walls, they also have a huge structure designed for bouldering with a thick padded floor underneath. The boulder and auto-belay walls seemed the most popular but it didn't seem there was much waiting given the ample space in the facility. There was certainly enough climbing space for everyone. As a novice, the activity was fun and tiring; there's definitely a balance between technique and strength! Despite having entry for the whole day, we definitely were tired out within an hour of constant climbing and by hour two, it was just about time to leave and refuel. Fortunately, the location of this space is quite convenient due to having a restaurant right on site as well as its proximity to the highway and other eateries just a few minutes away. The staff were friendly and informative. Besides the initial onboarding, there wasn't much interaction with them. They seem to keep things organized, cleaned and well-maintained. Overall, The Peak does a fantastic job introducing the sport of climbing to the local community and providing a clean and safe environment for newbies and experts alike. The price is reasonable for an all day activity and even more so if you become a member. For kids, they also have camps to build a new passion and train them up as climbers. For the more serious climbers, you may want to consider investing in the equipment to further save on the rentals. If this is a new challenge for you, take the opportunity to get in on this sport! The Peak makes it relatively easy to pick this up and continue leveling up with each visit!
