I told him and asked him to come back and complete the job and he said it's normal for the weeds to come back and that a lot of his customers have him weed on a monthly basis... maybe a weed here or there, but I paid well for weeding and mulching to eradicate weeds and this was not our arrangement. Did not seem to understand that to keep weeds from growing back, he should have put down weed mat or sprayed - he did not do either and did not raise either as 'extra'. So, $300 for these areas and 2 weeks later it looks like my yard bed is heading back to where we started. Spraying here and there is reasonable as a homeowner, but as a landscaping company, I expected better service and more knowledge. He told me he did his job well and isn't coming back. I wanted to give a chance for someone to come back and correct, but he said no, so I want to leave an honest review for other yelp users looking for a similar project.

Two of the trees were roots were emerging from the ground and in my eyes leaning, towering over my home as if any day, I would find the tree in my home. NOT!! The fall was a disaster, black walnut and leaves everywhere, but what was the most scary was it damaged one could cause damage to my neighbor's home. NOT !! So after a brief consultation two days prior, the crew in " HERO" mode. The work IS done extremely professionally and the clean up too. I never realized the labor I cutting down trees, especially huge ones, the cutting it up and carrying it to the truck. The work is not for the weak .... it takes alot of strength; strong arms and most important, you MUST know what you are doing. Just seeing them pulling down a tree with a rope tree, what can I say... never think the cost of tree removals are too much, because it is more than a saw involved. So, I am highly recommending this company and highly recommend them. No BS ....

If you remember there was a large number of trees down in the area, straining the supply of equipment and crews available to do this kind of tree work. Our insurance company had a tree service lined up to remove the tree. They said they would need a 100-ton crane to remove it since it was such a large tree. After a couple of days with no progress and with the tree service saying they were still waiting to hear from the crane company, I realized that a crane would take many days if not more than a week, if we were lucky. Rain was in the forecast and I knew we were racing against the clock if we didn't want our whole house flooded. I called around to many tree services in the area and they all said they would need a crane (which they would have to rent or contract themselves). Luckily I found Ronnie and Maryland Tree. He said they could remove the tree without using a crane. I was apprehensive at first, but the clock was ticking, so I said let's do this. They removed the tree little by little using ropes and leverage on the heavy parts. They got the tree off the roof to where it could be boarded and tarped and it happened not a moment too soon. The tarps were being applied in a light drizzle. About a half hour after the tarps were fully applied, there was a torrential downpour with flooding and everything. If we had still been waiting on a crane, I have no doubt in my mind that our whole house would have been ruined. Maryland Tree saved our butts. I have no idea what tree service like this usually costs, but the insurance company said that what they charged was very reasonable. I'll bet it was much less than it would have been if a large crane had been involved. I highly recommend Maryland Tree. Thank you, Ronnie.

We all started talking, and as I learned more about DJ, I learned he is a jack of all trades. He does remodeling, concrete, cleaning and even landscaping. So, I told him to hand me one of his cards and to call me on Saturday for an estimate for two trees. That Saturday, DJ and his crew showed up on our scheduled time, he was just as personable as he was in the barber shop and he provided a free estimate rather quickly. His estimate blew the competition out of the water and I was so thrilled I asked eagerly: when can you start? Today, was his response. DJ articulated his planned approach on how he'd cut the tree down and trim the other. He took his time to explain it to ensure I was comfortable and understood. A few hours later, DJ and crew showed up and got to work. They first trimmed an evergreen and after, started trimming the tree I needed to be cut down. When the tree I wanted cut down, shifted the opposite way DJ wanted it to fall. He was quick to act by using straps to ensure the tree did not fall on my neighbors fence. Thereafter, he brought his truck over and pulled the tree down to fall the way he wanted. His crew cut the tree up from there and removed all the debris. I'm happy with overall cost, and the time it took to finish. They did a great job and I plan to use them again for a follow-up job.

The morning of our appointment for cleaning, our power went out and our street access was blocked by a downed tree. I texted and explained the situation. Not only was I answered right away super early in the morning, but I was given sympathy for our problem. We were able to reschedule for another day. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, they called to say they'd be late due to unforeseen circumstances, which they explained. They said they'd knock $ off the price for our inconvenience. Everything about the experience was stellar. They were respectful and professional, but also extremely friendly - just very nice people! I've never seen such a thorough cleaning job. They used a steamer to clean the grout in the shower stall and gaskets around the refrigerator door and sliding glass door, the washed the glass on the sliding doors and swept the entry walk with a blower. The place looked better than I'd seen it . . . Ever. I will definitely use them again.

I hold owner Kevin singularly responsible, as he was awful to deal with. My wife and I asked the company to perform a number of tasks in our front and back yards. I should have known to stop the project before it started when Kevin couldn't even deliver an estimate on his timeline and I had to chase him to get it. His estimate seemed reasonable at the time if he had planned to send a few crew members to knock it out in a timely fashion. While weather delays were certainly not his fault, he primarily sent one excellent worker to do most of the job by himself. Kevin made token appearances, as did a few other people. I had to constantly repeat myself to Kevin throughout the project, who failed to ever do what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. His constant excuse-making and bogus apologies became laughable. Even with the weather, it shouldn't have taken this long to weed our front garden, remove a relatively small amount of grass and replace it with weedblock and mulch. I had to constantly chase Kevin to get things done. He even declared the project over without consulting with me -- even though the mulch he put down in the back (most of it free to him because our neighbor gave us theirs) was way too thin to do the job. He had told me clearly that multiple loads of mulch were included in the price -- mulch he was supposed to add in addition to my neighbor's pile. Tabori showed up at what they thought was the end with a pitiful pickup truck of mulch, which wasn't thick enough to even walk on without sliding on the weedblock. I had to demand he return with more, which his company finally did today. I will never use this company again. Despite the one excellent worker, Kevin was horrendous to deal with from start to finish. I've never written a Yelp review this negative, but I'd hate to see anybody waste their time and money the way we did. Kevin made this a stressful pain in the neck from start to finish -- and I've communicated that to him directly twice.
