The three things I rate a contractor on are the work done, communication skills and price. I would say Ayala Painting Pros excel in all three categories. My house was in need of exterior painting and had some dry rotted trim which needed to be replaced. Luis came out to inspect the work and provided a proposal within a couple of days. It was very complete and he was available to answer any questions. The quote was about in the middle range of other quotes I had received and he provided addresses of houses nearby they had recently painted. This provided me with the opportunity to look at their prior work. After signing the contract Luis gave me a timeframe of when his crew could start and how long the job would take. His crew of between 2 to 3 would start each day at about 8 am and work to about 4:30 pm. Power washing was done first, followed by wood replacement and then all the prep work and protection work. The workspace was kept clean each night and the quality was outstanding. Luis kept in communication during the job and came by to do the final inspection with me. A great job all around. read more

You do need to figure out your colors yourself. They don't help with that. But they did agree to replace the lattice on my trellis and I appreciated that. His men showed up on time, you could tell they were ready to work, they were professional and the job they did, they were courteous, respectful of the need to work around two unpredictable dogs, cleaned up the work site, protected the homeowners property, and actually did over and above what was expected under the terms of the contract. As with any project of significant size the homeowner may issues. Luis listened to my concerns and was reasonable and professional with the resolution. It was refreshing doing work with this contractor. My last experience with a contractor resulted in two felonies and three misdemeanors being filed against that contractor. I originally requested a quote from Ayala Painting via Yelp and I'm glad that I ended up going with them. We needed both a popcorn ceiling removal and interior/exterior painting of the house. The project manager, Luis, helped me through the entire process and went into details on how to get everything done right, but on a budget. Unfortunately, his partner, Willy is a different story; he damaged some of our properties during the initial inspection and claimed they were there before. Despite it's more than likely inadvertent, they both refused to admit their mistakes and accept responsibilities. Their lack of ethics and honesty do trouble us deeply, it's utterly unfair and not right for us to pay fixing their mistakes with our hard earned money. Highly recommend using Ayala Painting for your needs! Quoting process was fast and they came in at a fair price (2 story home exterior paint job) compared to what I was being quoted. Luis was very welcoming with questions and brought up things to consider during the project. He wasn't pushy and always had this positive and friendly vibe whenever we spoke. The scheduling and paint selection process was hassle free. Normally you would get to speak to a color consultant with Sherwin Williams, but given the timing of our project, we ended up just going to a local store and selecting the colors we wanted based on Luis's suggestion. Jose and his team that came out got a majority of the job done within 2 days when we were quoted approximately 3-4 days which was pleasant surprise. This was partly due to concerns of rain in the forecast, but Luis was very upfront about the situation and was in constant communication throughout the whole process, and that's all you can really ask for. The team practiced COVID safety protocols and cleaned up after themselves after each day. During the project, I was in the process of getting the garage door replaced but didn't know when the door would be delivered and installed. I told Luis my plans and he was very accommodating and said he would get a team out to finish the project once the door was installed. Fast forward 2.5 months later (yeah the door process sucked) and the project is complete with no issues. At the end of each phase, Jose stayed behind and made sure I was satisfied with the work done.
