Food was amazing! Had family mixed grill and it was so good, The entire family enjoyed it. The service was super kind and friendly but lacking in attentiveness. Was told twice they would bring more water but it never happened. I feel they simply need a few dedicated servers. Everyone is doing multiple jobs. Bless this amazing place for it's inspired menu of VERY reasonably priced top quality food. I've been there twice in 3 weeks and intend to return soon. I've never had Palestinian food before but there is so much flavor and passion evident in the food and it's perfectly poised presentation. The chicken platter came with rice , veggies, and a variety of pickles rich with flavor and robust in color. The chicken / beef mix shawarma was like a foot long and fed me twice . The tahini sauce and garlic yogurt sauce were perfect for the Sandwich , though the wrap was moist and satisfying on its own. I tried a few unfamiliar dishes such as the MUHUMMARAH, a sweet red roasted pepper , walnut, and pomegranate molasses dish. Mind blowingly good. The lentil soup and "khyar ma laban", or cucumbers yogurt n mint dish was cool n refreshing. They also bring you fresh hot pita with a dish of olives , olive oil, and za taar. I Especially love the music and atmosphere. The art on the wall captures the spirit of endurance, as the Palestinians have suffered oppression and occupation for almost a full century now. The food at Ayat is off the charts. The atmosphere was bustling, even when it was mostly empty. There is a palpable excitement in the kitchen. And it paid off. Everything we ate was so good I left uncomfortably full! I couldn't stop. read more

What a gem of a place. My wife and I went twice during a weeklong visit to the area, and was greeted both times with delicious dinner and highly attentive service with heart. Each time, we went for a mix of traditional fare and some of their modern interpretations. So good. It's now one of my new favorite restaurants in the greater Lehigh Valley area. read more

Food was delicious especially the halloumi cheese, falafel and their fresh mint lemonade. And the bread is amazing and fresh from the oven! Staff was kind, although it was hard to hear our waiter due to open concept. I would, however, go again to try different traditional dishes and foods. read more

Ayat in Allentown, PA Atmosphere: Very pretty. I loved the art & trees. It was clean. Parking: They have their own lot. Yay! I am new to PA and have found a lot of the restaurants don't have their own parking and I have to drive around trying to find parking. Service: Good service. Food was served LIGHTNING fast. My sister and I were going to do some paperwork while we waited for dinner and we never even opened the pad to write anything down. The food was there too fast. LOL Prices: Very reasonable...especially for the huge portions. Food: We ordered Fattoush, Hummus, Rice, Chicken Shawarma, Mujadara and Baklava. Everything was excellent! I eat Hummus everyday and I haven't tasted Hummus like this. The pita was delicious too. At the end of the meal, they gave me a mint tea on the house and that was great too! I spoke with a friend tonight and told her about Ayat and we made plans to go in December. I wish them good luck. read more

The food is out of this world. The Kabsa is extraordinarily tasty. All of the flavors simply blow the mind. I also suggest the mezze filistini to get a sense of so many different flavors and food experiences. I came from Pasadena to get out the vote. I always look for wonderful food experiences. I love Ayat! The first time I went was to get a lot of takeout for my birthday with family in December--we loved the food. I've been back three times since and it is my favorite place to eat. I'm vegan and have choices if baby delicious dishes, while the people I go with who all eat meat can also find many delicious choices! We recently had Ayat cater an event at a local college. The food was packaged so well and beautifully, it was very easy to unbox and serve. Both meat and vegan options, and everything not only outrageously delicious, but with an extra touch--drizzled pomegranate syrup, fresh flakes of parsley, smoky tomato/pepper(?) paste, lemon juice dressing. As a vegetarian, I found a wide variety of menu options, which is surprisingly rare in local dining. The restaurant experience is equally impressive. We were visiting my parents who live in Bethlehem and were taking a drive on Thanksgiving Day (today) and randomly found Ayat on Google Maps as being open. As we live Brooklyn we know Ayat and Al Badawi (we live down the street from it in Cobble Hill and know it well) but were't sure why they would have an outpost in Allentown. We stopped by and were blown away by how lovely the place and the food was. We had the chicken shawarma, the house salad, stuffed cabbage and a bunch of smaller plates. All were amazing and a lovely setting full of greenery and flowers...like the Brooklyn location. We are planning our return tomorrow night with the rest of the family. read more

The food was excellent... the breat amazing-freshly baked, reasonably priced. Everything tasted great.

Took nearly an hour to even receive a menu. After placing an appetizer order, the dips came out, but we we told that the pita to dip was not available due to a catering order the next day. After almost 2 hours we finally placed our dinner orders. It was ok, but nothing worthy of the wait. Upon completion of our meal (3 1/2 hour after we were seated) we were told that we needed to take our recyclables with us. Keep in mind we were are party of 7 who were seated at 7, didn't place any food orders until about 7:45, didn't receive appetizers until about 8:30, didn't place dinner orders until 8:45, received dinner around 9:30. By the way, the service was so slow we needed to walk down the street to buy beer (never planned on being there for 3 1/2 hours). Then to be told that we needed to take our empty bottles with us...,wtf?? Not going to bother you with the list of items we ordered that the waiter returned to tell us they had run out of. Overall the food was not horrible, but not great either. It seems like they have at least some clue how to cook, really need to figure out how to run a restaurant. Food is a 7/10. Service was woefully inadequate. read more
