Walked in on a Friday during lunch and was seated right away. Ordered the strawberry lemonade to drink. The fried chicken classic with cornbread and fries. The food was really really delicious. Large serving size three big pieces of chicken. Honestly no complaints.

While in Brooklyn decided to come here for some southern comfort food. This location is in a nice area in Brooklyn with plenty of parking. When you walk in you're greeted by a very nice hostess and seated right away. We ordered the grits corn bread and fried chicken. The chicken was good, flavorful and crispy. The grits were good and creamy, and the corn bread was really good. The ambiance was nice and bright with a Brooklyn vibe. If you're in this area, eat here.

This places is known for their fried food - primarily the catfish and chicken. I went with the catfish. This was some of the best fried fish I've had, if we're talking about just the fish itself. The breading is solid - going with a hot level of spice meant there was a good amount of seasoning on top, but I wouldn't classify it as spicy. It was crunchy at points, but missing the flakiness and true crunch I'd associated with top-tier fried fish. However, where it makes up for this is how good the inside of the fish is. This was spectacular - crazy moist, super tender, and just tasted fantastic. The complete opposite of that rubbery texture you get when you overfry the fish. The sauce that came with the fish was a little bland, however As for the sides, I thought the mac and cheese was really good - cheesy, slightly crispy on top, and cooked very well. I also liked the grits - though a bit buttery. The fries were a miss though. For the price, I think around 25 for the meal and a side is a solid deal. The sides especially come with pretty large portion size that will leave you very full. Overall, this is very good Southern food that I certainly enjoyed. 8.5/10

It just wasn't it this time around. Peaches seems to have lost its home feel. What happened to the pictures on the wall and the bourbon cocktails. I stayed because I was craving fried chicken. The mild seemed pretty plain. The salad was good as well as the cornbread. I didn't order an additional side dish. Oh well some things change.

I came by with a group of friends and were lucky enough to be seated without a reservation. Unfortunately it took me about 5 mins of trying to flag down a waiter's attention as they didn't notice me coming in. The portion sizes are good, but unfortunately the taste was nothing memorable. It's unfortunate but the bad service soured my experience here.

My husband found this restaurant on TikTok, and we finally went last night--they did not disappoint at all. The staff was incredibly friendly, the vibes were great, and we loved the playlist; they were playing really good music the entire time. It honestly felt like eating in someone's home, which I absolutely loved. For drinks, I ordered the Grand Mimosa, and my husband had the Brownstone Punch. It was a bit strong for me since it has three different rums, but he enjoyed it. For our entrées, I ordered the catfish, and my husband ordered the spicy catfish, both served with mac and cheese, collard greens, and broccoli. The catfish was fried to perfection. The collard greens were flavorful and delicious, and the mac and cheese was very cheesy--just how I like it--though it was slightly salty. The cornbread was moist and perfectly sweet. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

I came here with my date on a Sunday afternoon and was able to be seated immediately. The restaurant is simple with minimal decorations. The food didn't take long to come out and the server was helpful with substitutions. The food was excellent and well seasoned. Everything was made fresh so I definitely had to blow it to avoid burning my mouth. Overall it was a great experience and worth the trip.

We got here at a pretty sweet time on Saturday a little bit after 6pm and then the restaurant started to fill up quickly. The service was friendly and checked on us multiple times. I ordered the fried chicken, sweet potato fries and it came with a side of corn bread. The chicken was battered perfectly creating the right amount of crisp, crunchy and flaky crust to the chicken. The sweet potato fries were so good we couldn't stop nibbling on them and dipped them in the sauce provided. The cornbread, buttery and not too sweet hit my palette just right. My friend ordered the fried catfish, cheesy broccoli and it came with a slice of cornbread as well. They definitely enjoyed it, everything was gone, the only thing to wrap up was some broccoli. For drinks I got the strawberry lemonade and they got some warm lemon ginger tea. It your casual comfort food, wooden tables and chairs ambiance.

A friend recommended this place. The servers were very nice. The service was fast. The catfish was fried perfectly. The hot honey sauce over the fish was great. However, although the greens were tasty, there was too much butter. The butter cake was also very sugary. The cornbread was dry. Lastly, for a restaurant called peaches hot house, I expected to see peach cobbler on the menu. Also, I would've loved to have a side of potato salad with my catfish. The vibe is very chill here. Nothing fancy. I would go back.

Great southern brunch! Having gone to all of the other peaches, I've never tried the hothouse. I was skeptical that they would have their famous French toast but I called ahead and confirmed it would be available for brunch. The joint is small but a neighborhood fav as it was packed. We were able to get a table inside and dined on the fried green tomatoes, French toast and fried chicken. The bourbon drinks were also really good ( and I am not a bourbon drinker), but when eating southern cuisine I had to indulge. Looking forward to going back.

Peaches in Brooklyn has a cool, relaxed vibe and the staff was very friendly. The crispy chicken was full of flavor and I would definitely order it again. The Jim Cade breakfast was standard but tasty, and one drink was enough to feel a nice buzz. Overall, a great spot I would gladly visit again.

I thought Peaches Hothouse had the same menu as the Peaches on Marcus Garvey, it does not ! Peaches Hothouse has a limited menu and with few entrees. Food options are mostly, burgers and chicken. I ordered wings with a side of mac & cheese. One person waits on the entire restaurant which is acceptable considering how small it is inside. Service was good , mac & cheese was decent. It was something quick to get a bite , just wished they had more food options.

I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. Curious about the "famous" Brooklyn roast beef war -- yeah! it's a thing! -- T and I decided to see for ourselves. (Once I try the competition I'll weigh in with my vote.) With a reputation built on beef we ignored other options and researched how to order. You can get double dip, "dingle-dangle" (don't ask), cheese/no cheese ... it was confusing. We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit -- but I found it interesting to watch the guys at the counter work. Service was friendly and attentive. Unlike someone's comment about paying blind -- not so. It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

You would do well to arrive earlier that 8PM on a Friday to find a place to sit. I managed to catch a seat at the far side of the bar in the corner after several people departed. There is seating out on the sidewalk and the bouncer will ask for your ID, which, at my age, is a compliment and I am happt to show my ID. It's a busy place with a great playlist. The energy on a Friday eve is quite tangible and palpable. The bartenders are busy until the surge subsided around 9PM. Note: they are making frozen cocktails with their Vitamix. Here's a place where you can really chill during the hot summers and I have my mind on a frozen spicy marg next time I am here and there will be a next time. The young lady took my beer order and food order for the Chicken Plate and the Wedge Salad. They have a small selection of beers on tap, probably about five or six from what I saw. My friend who told me about The Commodore was more emphatic about the food here and now I understand why. The wedge salad was fresh and with all the blue cheese dressing and crumbled bacon to satisfy your cravings. A hard boiled egg sliced in half and plenty of cracked black pepper amp this salad up. I devoured it all and it worked well with the chicken plate, comprised of three chicken thighs fried to an ultra-crisp, served with three small biscuits and three ramekins of hot sauce, chili oil saut, and I believe melted butter for the biscuits. I never tasted that ramekin. You might think the hot sauce is go to, but check out that chili oil sauce with its mix of heat and sweet. That's your go to sauce for this crispy chicken. The chicken may not be as seasoned as one would find with soul food or southern kitchens, but it more than makes up for it with that audible crispiness. The three chicken thighs are huge and quite satisfying. It was all so good that I ordered a chicken plate to go! I can well understand why my friend gives The Commodore a high rec and so do I. I should be here on the regular and that salad and chicken plate, with a few frozen spicy margs or whatever is your pleasure, will be in repeat. Great with friends or your girl on a date if she can catch this vibe. The people working behind the bar are working hard and they do so with a great attitude. Tip them well. The Commodore is every bit of four stars!
