I love the establishment and the food. I definitely will be patronizing again. Something about the chicken wings was phenomenal. I enjoyed the customer service we received. It was a very nice ambience.
I had a great experience at Aye Tea Elle Elevated Tapas for a date with my husband. I made the reservation online and we arrived around 6:45 so we could enjoy Happy Hour. Parking was limited in the front of the restaurant, but we were able to snag a spot right in front. I did see additional free parking within walking distance as well. We were able to check in with the host easily and quickly when we arrived a few minutes early. As the host brought us to our table, I noticed the dim lights and nice decor that included pretty paintings and decor that reminded me of the culture of the city as well as our airport, with a hit of elegance. The host introduced us to our server, King who took great care of us. Once seated, King filled our glasses with cold ice water & lit a candle at our table. He gave us a moment to review the menu via QR code. Then, I had the pleasure of trying three different flavored lemon drops: strawberry, blueberry & peach. I loved that the strawberry one included the actual strawberry fruit with it, but all 3 were great. The blueberry flavor was sweet and did not include berries, but did have the lemon slice. The peach one looked a lot like a classic lemon drop but tasted like peach juice & I left feeling real good! Thankfully, I was not driving home. These were on the happy hour menu for $11 each (Note: only the original flavor lemon drop is $10 during happy hour). The drinks were 10/10! For our entrees we decided to keep it simple and opt for the aye bay bay wings (extra crispy) with ranch and hand cut french fries. Hubby opted for the sweet chili wings with hand cut french fries and they were also good. The cocktails came out quickly and so did our food. King kept our glasses of water full and checked on us continuously. We did not experience karaoke, but it was going to be set up soon and around the time we were heading out. Throughout the night, I found myself singing along with the music selection. The music was a VIBE! I enjoyed hearing a mix of music, mostly r&b that included Usher, Summer Walker, Sunshine Anderson, Neyo, Victoria Monet and Burna Boy. There was also a few hits from the 80s and 90s thrown in there! Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience and will be back soon.
I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It gives grown and sexy vibes. There was a live band on Saturday night when I arrived. This place is good for a date night or an outing with the girls. The cocktails were delicious and shout out to Tye the bartender, he made sure to mix our drinks to our preference. The food was tasty and seasoned well. I will say that the prices were a bit pricy for tapas but it was an overall good experience.
Dayja was our waitress today, and she was great. She was attentive and made great recommendations. When we arrived, there was a live band playing. It wasn't crowded, and the interior was cute. I ordered the salmon bites, roasted potatoes, and fried green tomatoes. Everything was delicious and fresh. My date ordered the steak and eggs, and I almost ate off of his plate. Our drinks were nice and strong, just how we liked it. I ordered a long island with Pineapples juice and an All Da Smoke. Beautiful presentation. My date ordered his old fashion, and it was strong and sweet. I would definitely return because even though it was a little overpriced, I enjoyed the customer service, food, and ambiance.
So....this was good, but not good enough for me to return. Parking was extremely challenging. We were charged a cover for "entertainment" which ended up being R&B bingo. I guess that was ok, but there were not enough cards or markers to go around.....so not sure why everyone was charged. The food is decent, nothing particularly amazing. I expected more wow factor. The space is small but cute. Nice for a date night. I love tapas because I can try multiple things, but these small plates are entree prices, so it didnt really make sense for me.
My best friend said this spot had good wings so I was sold on going. This spot is in the heart of College Park is in opinion is a best kept secret. This place does have limited parking in front of the restaurant and on the side of the restaurant. This place has a beautiful ambiance and resembles a lounge. My friend made a reservation and upon arriving we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive and nice. She checked on us every five minutes or so. Highly requested the lemon drop which you opt for different flavors like blueberry, regular lemon, and strawberry. I got the strawberry and blueberry lemon drops. I started off with their Caesar salad and it was okay. To me, the star of the show was the entree. I got their buffalo wings and fries. The entrees were on point! My friend got the A Bay Bay wings which so will be trying next time around. This location does have an outside lounge area perfect for summer nights. Another great touch to this spot was the live band playing music. During the night we all went, the place wasn't super crowded which made the experience more enjoyable.
It was my birthday and a good friend invited me to dinner here. I live in the area literally 1.3 miles away but had never heard of it. This is a black owned restaurant that also serves as a lounge. It is on the same street as the Fire Department just across the street. The decor is very cozy and intimate. Black table cloths on table along with a candle. We were seated very quickly. Although we went on a Saturday around 7:30, we didn't need reservations. We tried to make a reservation but they wanted a credit card. Our server took our drink orders and he also brought us a small container of popcorn to nibble while we were waiting for our food. As with most new restaurants there is no paper/hard copy menu. You have to scan a QR code to being up the selections. I understand the advancement of technology and the ability to change the menu online. However some eyes need to see it on paper. What we ordered: Sides and Appetizers Fried Green Tomatoes (4) $12 served with house made remoulade sauce. This was a miss. I had high hopes because Fried Green Tomatoes is usually a hit. 4 pieces of tomato that was mushy in the inside and lacked any flavor. They were pretty small and at $3 a slice it just wasn't worth it. Fried Brussels $8 I will try Brussels no matter where I go as long as they are fresh and not steamed. These were so good. I didn't want it to end. Entrees Aye Tea Elle Burger $18 Our handcrafted "beef" burger topped with cheddar or monterey jack, served on a grilled brioche bun topped with with lettuce, grilled onions, tomato, & applewood smoked bacon with french fries and secret sauce. This is a win! The burger tasted home made with fresh ground round meat. Nice well out together burger and the secret sauce was so good on the fresh cut fries. Red Snapper Filet $35 Pan Seared or Fried Topped with Caribbean Salsa served over rice pilaf & plantains. This was another hit. My fried ordered it fried. Beautiful plate of fish and peppers. It also had a slightly sweet taste of the peppers mixed with the fish. Chef's kiss. So very good. Dessert Butta Love 9 Butter Pound Cake with Caramel Drizzle. This was ordinary cake. Nothing fancy or significant about the taste. I love cake but this just didn't hit for me. Yoni's Famous Bread Pudding 12 topped with Ice Cream & Caramel Drizzle. My friend said it was delicious and enjoyed it.
Came here for a closer date night out (sometimes we don't like dealing with driving into the city OR paying an arm & a leg for parking). Hostess: super warm, quickly attended to us, and there was a white sage candle burning that made it feel super cozy. Server: Kelvin was attentive with out hovering and he was really nice. I felt like he came to see us promptly despite having a lot of tables. Drinks: All Da Smoke was sooooo good and a fun presentation! I also got the I-85 (or 75, can't remember lol) which was like a French 75. It was GOOD!!! My husband got the Playas Ball which he said was strong also. The drinks were strong without being liquor forward or bitter. Definitely 10/10. Food: we got the fried green tomatoes as appetizers and they were good but not the best we'd ever had. He got the burger which was pretty good and I got the seafood Mac which I would give 8.5 or 9/10. I would have liked more cheese than sauce BUT flavor was good and it wasn't skimpy on the seafood like most places. Ambience: 15/10!!! Music was fantastic. Everyone was rocking side to side and in the mood. I was happy to see it so full, it makes me happy to see Black owned businesses doing well. We definitely would come back! Parking was not too bad, we got the last spot on the row in front of the building.
Sunday Brunch was great. Very accommodating of the large group I was with. Food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. No complaints. Service was great. Will return again. Enjoy the band and DJ as well.
The Southside FINALLY have somewhere I would come back to! Brought Hubby hear for Father's Day weekend on a Friday for the R&B Karaoke and the Happy Hour. Both did not disappoint! Parking: Parking is extremely limited on the front and side of the establishment. However, there is a free parking lot corner adjacent that wasn't a far walk. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Kane. He was super personable, attentive and quick with the orders - we love a quick turnaround on food and drinks! The Happy Hour menu is slim but still powerful. Keeping in mind this is a Tapas restaurant so don't expect too many large plates. They do have large plates available on their regular menu but utilized the Happy Hour to gage more of the menu. Hands down, the Tequila Lemon Drop had me in a choke hold. We sampled plenty from the veggie eggrolls, Chargrilled Oysters, Caesar Salad, Red Snapper Bites, Fries, Pota Bravos, Aye Tee Elle Burger and the Pound Cake. Everything was delicious and came out hot and fresh! The R&B Karaoke brought all the good vibes too. I highly suggest coming for a girls night or a guys night too as they had plenty of screens to view the games. They have a patio for hookah as well but we opted to sit outside this go around. Highly recommend to do a reservation as well.
11/12/22 - Update: I ordered takeout literally one week later and was highly disappointed. The food wasn't fresh and tasted refried. I called to place a takeout order and was told by Tiffany to order via Uber Eats. I placed an order & it was cancelled. I did not realize until being minutes away for pickup. When I called I was told the order was cancelled by Uber because they were out of Veggie egg rolls. AGAIN. No one called to let me know, so upsetting. The food is overpriced and not consistent. I doubt I'll be back. 11/5/22 - Visited on a Saturday evening. The hostess asked if we had reservations which we did not. When we entered there was not many people dining. It's a intimate space, with uplighting. Our server Lauren was helpful and patient. What we ordered; Trio - it includes Veggie Egg Rolls, but the restaurant was out. Unfortunately we could not get doubles of any of the options in the trio so we had to get Fried Green Tomatoes. I'm not a fan of those but my friend enjoyed them. The snapper nuggets and wings were really good. Lamb w/ mash & broccoli - cooked well & tasty. Nice portion Garlic Shrimp - This was okay, there wasn't enough sauce to dip the crusty bread. Seafood Mac - cheesy, hot, tasty but I could not taste the other seafood just the shrimp. Lemon Pepper wings - my favorite, crispy, well seasoned, not greasy & fresh! Ladies Night & the flaming margarita were strong & tasty. After dinner, we got a ride to Main Street in the Aye Tea Elle golf cart. The team was very helpful! I would return.
Saw photos on IG and this place looked super dope. The decor was great. Parking was small in front but had a large overflow lot across street and you can request pick up. Our waiter was amazing(jarren) he was very knowledgeable about menu and drink options and super attentive. The food however left a bit to be desired. The snapper and grits for flavorless, lamb chop tony and overcooked(evenly though requested medium) , eggs were watery. We were first reservation of the day so weird that service was slow af. The drinks were good and priced like most Atl places. We started outside but it was super hot and had no fans on patio. We moved to the bar and one of the waitress was being the bar and seemed to be rushing us to finish. Out waiter came back and apologized for it and brought us dessert and mimosas for inconvenience. Pineapple mimosa and blood Mary are best drinks and friend cheesecake better dessert. It wasn't the best but not the worst. I probably won't go back
Let me start this by saying I went on a Wednesday when they had a Dope Live Band playing nice mellow Jazz Music. Parking - Free Angled Street Parking in the front, around the side of the building, In addition to an outdoor parking lot across the street. They have a Golf Cart available to take you to the lot if you don't want to walk after having dinner. Reservations: Required. Make a reservation via Open Table, they do require a credit card to hold your reservation & if you don't show up you will be charged a $15 fee per person. Price Range: Food $7-75 sides to the entree Drinks: $8-40 from Beer, Wine to Crafted Cocktails Entertainment: $5 per person added to the check Gratuity: 20% automatically added to the check Bathroom: Unisex- Just regular, I couldn't take my normal Bathroom Selfie. Let's jump into this review. The place is small they do have a stage located in the corner to the left & outdoor patio w/heat lamps located to the back far right corner. The outdoor patio will be nice for when it's warm outside. The server came to the table pretty quickly to give us water & take our drink orders. She gave us time to review the menu to make our food choices. She came back for our food choices about 10 minutes later but without our Cocktails. We waited about 30 minutes to get our drinks and probably over an hour for our food. The Cesar Salad w/shrimp was very good the shrimp was seasoned and cooked just right I had about 6 medium-sized shrimp & the Cesar dressing was delish it could've been homemade, definitely ask for an extra side. Lol The fried lobster tail & seafood rice were both well-seasoned and the rice had a nice amount of seafood in it. The food portions are small(tapas). The Trio the ColliPark Cauliflower was well seasoned & fried just right to a golden brown, the Salmon Bites had very few pieces of salmon mostly fried bread. The steamed Brussel Sprouts I requested to be well done and they were still hard. They did give me another order but I took it to go so Im not sure how they turned out. We wanted deserts but since we had already waited for over an hour for our food we opt'd not to get any. The food portions are definitely TAPAS and do not equal to the prices on the menu in my opinion. I will return only during Happy Hour & I will sit at the bar. Nice ambiance, nice date night, its a small intimate spot, Great Live Jazz Band on Wednesday. The Bar is nice with 2 big Flat Screens and the Bartender is on point with the drinks. Overall due to the extended wait with receiving food & drinks I give them 3 .

Nice bar and restaurant. Great menu with a variety of appetizers and entrees for both seafood and non seafood lovers. Will definitely go back and look forward to patio dining in warmer months. Bartender Zoelle (sp?) is awesome on the drinks and very nice and personable and our server Kelvin was attentive, friendly and made our dining experience great! Recommend for sure! read more

On another weekend food adventure. My friend and I decided to try this spot. In a quaint area off of Main St. We parked in the free public parking lot across from the fire station. We made reservations on open table. We were seated immediately upon arrival by a nice lady. We sat on the front patio. Didn't have the opportunity to view anything on the inside, unfortunately. A nice guy came out and gave us water. Our waiter came out a few moments later. We browsed the menu for a while and placed our drink orders. So fast forwarding, thru this process it seemed as though dude was either very slow with taking info, new to the system he was using or new. This is meaningful. We eventually ordered...fried chkn sandwiches, me, lemon pepper only cheese and onions and my friend, sweet chili and as is with toppings. About 10 or so minutes later, he arrives. My friend beats me to the punch, that has toppings and she (me) is allergic to tomatoes. Also neither has the "sauce" Requested. He handed her one plate and said "I think this is sweet chili" although it is evident nothing was on it but cheese. He takes mine back, it comes back in 5-7 minutes. I assume they just took the toppings off. I'll see based off how my body reacts within these hours. Also the fries were cold by that time. My friend, On behalf of her, stated she was too hungry to send her food back and it was getting cooler outside and we don't have time to keep sitting here. Lol. I feel that. The chicken was good, just bland, outside of not coming out as requested. The drinks were pretty expensive in our opinion. Cute glasses but 'meh'. Lastly, I asked for change for a $20, he responds we are cashless. Understandable but this was change for a potential tip. This man takes my $20 and returns with $17 and said the money basically can go towards the tip. Excuse me?! Please take this money back and return with my original 20. Who does that!? He said he misunderstood what I meant by tip. Smh. And said he only been there for 5 days. He also hovered while she signed the receipt and tip portion. Needless to say, the automatic 20% included will suffice, yet I don't think this was a case of 20%. A fair tip would've been left based upon service. That is the only quarrel I have with establishments enforcing the automatic tip. I get the gist of it but there are times service does not equivalent to the amount. Period. I would've gotten a hookah but $40 is again, pricey. It is possible we would try again. I like to give the benefit of doubt as it could've "been one of this days". But, please try it. read more

I visited Aye Tea Elle on Saturday night for dinner. The tables were all reserved for the evening so my friend and I sat at the bar. I'm glad we did because the bartender was amazing. She made food and drink recommendations for us. She was also very attentive. For food I ordered the sour patch wings and side of the seafood mac & cheese both items were good. Great place. Love downtown College Park. Free parking. See previous review summarizing good food, great service and loud music (via DJ). I'm updating the review because when I got home I realized they add a mandatory 20% gratuity (we were a party of 2 at the bar) and another $5 entertainment fee so guests can pay the DJ au they don't have to I guess. I don't dine at places that force you to tip regardless of service and then nickel and dime you with fees. I understand if it's a seated large party but for a party of 2 being minimally served at the bar on one tab, it's ridiculous. Great venue but we won't be back unless mandatory gratuity policy is updated. read more

The hospitality first and foremost! Greeted us with warm welcome. Keep in mind we went on a Wednesday night. Ask for Tye and Tee (bar manager) and at the bar they will get you right! The establishment is beautiful and has a grown and sexy vibe. I had the seafood egg rolls and they were delicious and crispy (FRESH!). I also tried the fried green tomatoes (yum), sweet chili wings was wet yet crispy too lol delicious!! I would recommend 9.5/10 only missing 10 because they could use more cocktail selections. Really nice place to relax and unwind beginning with the cart ride from the parking lot. I celebrated my cousin's Birthday on this past Friday and the food/drinks were amazing. My Fiancee and I raved about the different flavored cauliflower bites which were amazing. I don't remember the Server's name but she was great as well as the gentleman that was bringing out the food. I would definitely try again. There was music playing and although I never eventually saw the DJ the ambience was great! read more

I went just after 5. They had just opened and have a happy hour that runs 5p - 8p. The bartender was nice and offered to include a flavor when I ordered a lemon drop. I was able to stay for food but I will definitely be back. The decor was nice and had a grown and sexy feel to it. read more

This place was great! Went on Saturday at 12:30 for brunch. The food was delicious. The ambiance was nice. And the service was A1. Everyone we interacted with that worked there was super nice. Our server was Lacey and she was the best. The food came out quickly and was perfect. We had the Black Girl Magic drink. It was delicious. The music was a whole vibe! The DJ was nice also. One of the servers brought out a drink that my girlfriend took an interest in and she was super sweet and funny as she explained what it was. Last but not least the hostess was so sweet and nice when we walked in and when we walked out, she even offered to take pictures for us. Let's get into it! The parking was a pain. I ended up finding free parking next door. It rained earlier and the ground was all beat up but I managed to walk to the restaurant and not get my shoes or outfit stained. Yay me. A group of friends met here for brunch. We all kind of staggered in. When I walked in the ambiance was so cute. It was a whole vibe with live music and beautiful people. There was a huge party next to us celebrating a birthday and they were too much fun. When we arrived it was 4 of us but we had a few people on the way. Thankfully they sat us down and we were able to order drinks and appetizers. The drinks and appetizers took forever to come out. I mean way longer than it should have. Our friends finally arrived and they placed their order and it took forever to come out. We placed our orders and you guessed it, the food took forever to come out. Well we decided to make the best of it but I was very disappointed with the lamb chop lollipops, they we lukewarm and tiny. Also our server forgot to put in one of the orders for lamb chops so by they time it came out everyone was almost done eating. The Brussels had no seasoning, the fried green tomatoes were pretty good and the crab cakes were pretty good. While we were there my cousin called and asked what I was up to. I told him to come to the restaurant. He showed up as the band was wrapping up. Since we had been there a while he ordered a salad. His salad took so long he asked the waiter if they had to go pick the lettuce and veggies. Seriously they didn't have to cook anything and it took like 25-30 minutes. My cousin did say the salad was really good. Now it is time to pay the bill. At first we all asked for our own bill. Each bill came with a $5 entertainment fee. I think this was quite ridiculous to add $5 to someone's bill who didn't even get to see the band perform. Anyway we asked to combine the bill. Gratuity was included which was not cool because our server was not on top of things. We had to ask him several times for things and when he came back he would suddenly remember what we asked for. I actually felt bad for him. Overall the place is nice. They need to improve on service and the amount of time they take bringing out the food. I'll go back and give them a second shot because it was a lot of fun. I'm hoping that the big party is the reason they were overwhelmed. Also they told us no substitutions on the menu. It was decorated nicely. The outdoor area has three tvs. The food was so good! I tried most of the appetizers and every one of them were delicious. The Cajun pasta with shrimp was great but the real star was the cheesecake bites. They had live music and the band was good. The only downside was the service. The waitress made us wait over 30 minutes for just a margarita. We had to call the manager before we got it. The food came out very slowly and we were only 1 of two table there at the time. read more

Went for Sunday brunch. Had a reservation. Vibe was nice. Ambience was beautiful and sexy. Decor is giving I'm grown. Live music was great! Drinks were amazing! (Ladies night and change of heart) Service started off well.....ended horrible. Food was blah. Would only go back for drinks and vibe. Chicken strips were nuggets non seasoned (3 small nuggets) lamb was dry potatoes were tasteless eggs had no salt nor pepper it was just scrambled eggs with cheese. 20%gratuity added and $5 entertainment fee if they have live music. R&B has me in a chokehold so anytime I can hear R&B I am there. On Fridays, they have R&B Karaoke. They have happy hour from 5-8pm. I got the tequila lemon drop (flavors mango and blueberry). The flavor is $1 extra. I actually fell in love with the blueberry flavor. That was my first time trying that flavor. I also got the buffalo lemon pepper cauliflower wings and fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The cauliflower wings had me thinking I was eating boneless wings. I was so excited to try the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich. But it was a bit of a let down. I would definitely not order that again. The waitress did forget to put on my order of fries but that just made me think I didnt need them. Besides that the service was good. The DJ was good also. My check included an entertainment fee and I have never seen that on a check before. That fee gave me a pause. I would say I would come back but idk about paying for entertainment. read more

Yo I will never come here again. First of all the ambiance is beautiful but I feel bad for the poor hostess/bus boy/ waiter/ cook for all I know as long as it took for my order to come out. Also my waitress was extremely rude and nasty (she has a septum piercing) who "forgot" that the reservation table next to mine wasn't showing and my party stayed in this cramped corner all night. It took over an hour for my filet to be served and another 30 min for my Mac & cheese to come out. According to my friends they actually needed A1 for their steak it was so unseasoned and the lamb chops are tiny and came out cold. The drinks are super weak and full of mostly ice. DONT COME HERE thinking you'll have a good time. The pricing is different(more) in the restaurant than what is shown on Yelp as well. Sorry not sorry save your money ! read more

Ok so let's start on this one. This was my first time here at this restaurant. The ambiance is really nice, the dj was good and the music was appropriate for the time we went (reservations was at 8:30). It was only one waitress working that covered all the tables so there was a bit of a wait. I ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were undone and doughy. My husband had the lemon pepper wings as an appetizer and they were pretty good. For our entree we had the chicken fettuccine and turkey burger. It was pretty decent. I also ordered the drink, "The Black Girl Magic" and as previous poster said, "they definitely add a lot of ice." Nevertheless, the drinks were good. I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars bc of the ambiance itself. They definitely need to hire one more waitress to balance it out. I kinda got the vibe that the waitress was overwhelmed but to her defense, she was the only one. They did have the busboy come over to let us know how long it would take to get our food. I'm sensing that maybe as the crowd grows, they may be times when the food is delayed so they try to let you know the timeframe of when to expect it. read more

Completely underwhelming experience! No live band Server chewing gum and didn't know the menu High price point ( gratuity automatic) Brunch food was also served tapa style came out one plate a time even though we ordered to make a complete meal . Bottle of champagne just set on the table with top on it for us to open We must do better ! I won't be back read more

I was definitely suprised when I walked in this venue, but in a great way! I visited on a Wednesday night & there was live entertainment that was top notch! Great spot to go into for a date night or a night out with your girls!! The music was great if your a 80's baby you can definitely join in & sing along with the performers, they definitely encouraged it. Very grown & sexy ambiance with your favorite R&B vibes! The tapas were great, the calamari & egg rolls had this savory sweet & spicy sauce!! My Cosmo was also perfected & had a great presentation! Aye Tea Elle was a great little find in College Park. Was classy, clean with outstanding service! Nice vibe and they had a live DJ with great music. Their was a nice patio in the back to further enjoy your libations. The food was very good and look forward to trying other things on the menu next time. read more
