Solid Turkish cuisine, and excellent service. Located in an inside corner of a older strip mall in Hwy 6. Once inside, the restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and clean surrounding. Complimentary warm sesame bread with Turkish olive oil spice dip was a great start. Almost everything we ordered was really good: * Cucumber Yogurt Salad * Lahmacun -- Like a thin crust flatbread pizza with a light topping of seasoned ground meat. So fresh and crispy yum! * Mixed Grill Family Platter for 2 -- This was awesome. Beef shish kebab, chicken shish kebab, beef adana kebab (ground), chicken adana kebab (ground), kofte (ground meat patties) kebab, and doner (thin sliced meat)... served with bulgar and rice and some grilled veggies and pickled cabbage. The doner was a bit on the dry side, but all the other meats were so good, tender and flavorful. Enough food for 3 people to share. * Lamb Chops -- Really good for lamb lovers. Cooked to order. Perfectly grilled, tender, flavorful and not at all gamey (likely good quality imported lamb). * Kunefe Dessert -- Angel hair like pastry with melty cheese and syrup. Baked fresh and served in a skillet. Really good, but maybe better if they served the syrup on the side and we control the amount of syrup ourselves. Nasrin our server was great. Service overall was very friendly and attentive, and prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Unfortunately no beer, wine or alcoholic beverages available. Looking forward to coming back.

This review is based solely on an Uber Eats pickup experience : I walked in and was immediately greeted by the hostess. I can't remember her name, but she was the sweetest, truly great customer service. She checked on the order for me and let me know it would be just a few minutes. She even offered me water while I waited, which I appreciated. When the food was ready, she brought it to me herself and was just very kind and helpful throughout the entire interaction. Your team is lucky to have her. She represents your company very well. Based on her customer service alone, I'll definitely be back as a customer myself.

Top notch quality of food and authentic Turkish cuisine , it is hard to find both at the same time . I was craving for ashura and too lazy to make it at home , they serve it as an "ikram" So happy to have this restaurant here in Houston. I wish they had another location near the woodlands/spring area so we wouldn't have to drive an hour to get here it's worth it thought! If you are a tripe soup lover as me, you are going to live this place! Everything is halal, and freshly made ! Their ramadan open buffer menu was also incredible and rich ! Please come, and visit Ayintap. You won't regret it !!

I recently learn about this place from Social Media, so I took my mom here to try something new. It was a very nice experience for some authentic food from Türkiye (Turkey). The shopping center may look run down but the restaurant is nice and clean and the food was delicious. The lamb tongue was tasty. The day we went the server told us Turkish Pizza and Flat Breads where not available, that was very disappointing.

Extremely fancy family run authentic Turkish place with a lot of love, care and first ingredients put into every single dish. We tried half the menu in a big family outing and everything was spectacular down to the Turkish ice cream That's so stretchy and thick. The staff is extremely friendly and the presentation on the dishes is very aesthetic. Absolute favorite thing here was the Adana kebab. And I heard good things about their halva

The most authentic Turkish food I've had in Houston! This isn't one of those fancy restaurants, but if you're a true food lover and want to taste the best dishes from different countries, this is the place to go. It's not just any Turkish food--it's from Gaziantep, which in my opinion has the best meat dishes. The prices were very reasonable, and we finished our meal with baklava and tea, which were both excellent. Our server was also very friendly and communicative, which made the experience even better.

We've been coming to Ayintap with my family for over five visits now, and it's quickly become one of our go-to spots. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. We almost always get the mixed grill platter, and it never disappoints, perfectly grilled meats, tender and juicy, with just the right amount of spice. Their hummus is smooth, rich, and packed with flavor, perfect for dipping or as a side with the meats. One of our absolute favorites is the cheese bread, warm, soft, and so addictive that we end up ordering extra every time. The service is friendly and the vibe is relaxed and family-friendly. Definitely a spot worth visiting (and re-visiting!).

Yummy!! The servers are very sweet and patient. The food is deliciousssss!! We love love the vegetarian plate with falafel and the bread that comes out before as an appetizer! The place inside is peaceful and has pretty decor. And the prices are fair!

Ayitap is the closest I've had to real Turkish doner since visiting Turkey. The meat is super flavorful and always cooked perfectly. It's clear they care about quality. This place has become a go to for dinner with my family, and it never disappoints. If you're craving Mediterranean food (turkish in general), this is the spot.

Houston's hidden gem! The Kibbeh and Mixed Plate are insanely good. Cozy spot, friendly staff, perfect for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend!

Went to @ayintapmediterraneangrill recently, I'm a big fan of #Turkish food, everything from doner, iskandar, pide, lahmachun, and more. Anyways tried this place for the first time, great ambiance and nice staff. now for the food, we ordered Iskandar Kabab, Soujouk Pide, Mix Grill Platter, and Lentil Soup. first off the Iskendar was great, just love the combination of Doner, tomato sauce, Pita and with melted butter. next you can't go wrong with pide especially with Soujouk on it. we also enjoyed the mix grill platter great portion size and variety of items. Overall we enjoyed it, definitely will be back.

What a wonderful experience here. We had asked our server what recommendations he had for us since it was our first time. Led us to try some great dishes. He even recommended dessert. Can't wait to come back and try other dishes.

This restaurant has food that is absolutely incredible. I've been to several Mediterranean style eateries but only my second experience of one with a Turkish influence. Ayintap Mediterranean Grill is located in a fairly busy shopping center which could use a little updating. However, it's home to must-do dining. We ordered a few dishes to share and was impressed with the quantity of amazing food we received. Their Red Lentil Soup is gluten and dairy free and very likely the best you've ever eaten. This was followed by a "small" Green Salad that can easily feeds two. Equally delicious and impressive is the Mixed Grill which should be shared unless you are really hungry with the stomach capacity to match. This now our favorite go-to for Mediterranean cuisine.

Established back in 1977, this Greek café has grown from a humble walk‑up window into a full‑fledged neighborhood institution, beloved for its hearty Mediterranean comfort food and lively, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere. The Montrose location stays bustling from lunch through late night, drawing in everyone from families to night‑owls to longtime regulars who've been coming here for decades. What keeps people returning is simple: the food hits. Diners consistently praise the authentic Greek flavors, especially the gyro plates -- a blend of beef and lamb shaved from the spit, tucked into warm, fresh pita, and finished with cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and the pricing stays reasonable, making it one of the best value spots in the neighborhood. Your gyro arrives stacked, your fries come hot, and your plate feels like it was built by someone who actually wants you to leave full. The menu is huge, but the classics shine brightest. The Greek salad is crisp and refreshing, loaded with feta, olives, tomatoes, and their famous dressing. Service here is fast, friendly, and efficient -- the kind of counter‑style operation where the staff keeps things moving without losing the warmth that makes the place feel welcoming. Guests frequently mention how upbeat and helpful the team is, even during rush hours. The vibe is lively but never chaotic: families grabbing dinner, couples sharing mezze plates, and regulars chatting with staff like old friends. It's casual, energetic, and unmistakably Montrose. One thing that sets Niko Niko's apart is its deep Houston history. The Fetokakis family has run the restaurant for nearly half a century, maintaining a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality that helped the café earn multiple Houston Press awards over the years -- from Best Pork Chops to Best Family‑Owned Restaurant. Even as the city has changed around it, Niko Niko's has stayed true to its roots: hearty food, Greek hospitality, and a community‑driven spirit. Whether you're grabbing a quick gyro, sitting down for a full spread, or stopping by for dessert after a night out, Niko Niko's delivers exactly what a neighborhood staple should: great food, great value, and a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience feels like Houston -- diverse, warm, and full of character. If you're in Montrose and craving Greek comfort done right, this spot remains one of the city's most reliable pleasures.
