Another great meal. The Cornish hen wasn't as delicious as the boneless chicken kabobs but not bad. Falafel was crispy and tasty! Service was as decent.

Some of the best Persian food in town! Avesta has some of the most rich and juicy high quality food that hits the spot. From generous portions to amazing naan bread I love love coming here. Their cherry rice is just top tier here and it goes so well. I had never had cherry rice before coming here and I'm hooked!. From the pictures you can see its quite a generous portions of rice so you'll be pretty full by the end of it. Kabobs beef/chicken, always extremely fresh, juicy, and rich in flavor. Hummus with the complimentary naan goes so well together I've came back year after years and am happy to report that their quality has remained the same. I always recommend Avesta when it comes to Persian food!

I had a wonderful lunch at Avesta. The LAMB SHANK w CHERRY RICE was perfectly cooked. The broth was flavorful and hot! The lamb was tender. The cherry rice was sweet and savory. I appreciate the complimentary bread and herb/cheese plate provided at the beginning of the meal. My dining guest ordered the SALMON KEBAB W DILL RICE which was outstanding as well. Perfectly grilled yet moist. The YOGURT SODA DOOGH is an interesting drink - more savory than I thought it was going to be. My daughter described it as similar to drinking minty ranch sauce. The MANGO LASSI was delicious and a bit lighter than the Indian version. The star of the meal were the PERSIAN HUMMUS and DILL LABNEH. Standout dips! Hummus was very garlicky. Labneh was thick and cooling. Next time I will try more of the apps.

Great Persian food. Ordered the lamb sultani. The lamb was flavorful, the ground beef was solid but a little less good, the rice was great and the surprising star of the show was the grilled tomato! (I know, I know, it was just that good) Ordered via delivery, so no view on service or ambiance. My wife had some too, this sultani dish was big enough for two. She liked it even more than I did. Solid 5*. I like being surprised by little delicious extras like the grilled tomatoes and the included flat bread!

A Houston treasure. Our group of six guys ordered the Royal Platter. It comes with three styles of rice. The flatbread was excellent. Highly recommended.

I recently catered From Avesta. The food was absolutely delicious. Beef kabob 5/5. Loved the tenderness, juicy and succulent flavor. Accompanied with basmati rice and salad. Chicken kabob 5/5. Also very juicy tender and flavorful. Grilled to perfection. Hummus 5/5. Consistency was key. Smooth textured and very tasty. Accompanied with home made bread. Salad presentation was beautiful. All the guest throughly enjoyed the food. The employees brought all the trays to my car and placed it in the trunk. The ambiance was nice. Very spacious from inside. Nice decor.

Today I tried Avesta Persian grill and omg! It was very delicious. The service was exceptional...kudos to Marvin he was very knowledgeable and was able to guide me through the menu. I wasn't sure what to order since I don't often eat Persian cuisine. I had the Kabob combo with a koobideh skewer added. The flavors and aromas in my face when the food came to the table were making my mouth melt. No regrets coming to Avesta. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area again.

I've been recommended this place multiple times and I'm so glad i finally got around to trying it. Avesta was delicious and it definitely fulfilled my Persian food craving. We got the persian hummus, mast museer as our two dips, a fattoush salad, and the lamb shish kabob to share. The persian hummus was super flavorful. It was really well seasoned with garlic and cumin. Some of the best hummus I've had a a perfect dip to pair with the meal. (8/10) The mast museer tasted just like a yogurt with the essence of grilled shallots. There was a subtle after taste where you can taste the shallots but it was not mixed throughout the yogurt as I had expected. It was fine, but nothing outstanding. (6/10) The fattoush salad was delicious and I was really happy with the large portion. It was perfect to share and very fresh. I also liked how the vegetables were not just tossed in dressing but actually well-seasoned. (7.5/10) The lamb shish kabob was a huge portion and I loved how the staff already separated the portion on to two plates for me and my friend to share. The chicken was super moist and tender and the grilled vegetables were nicely charred. The lamb, however, was a bit tougher than I like but the flavor was there. (7.8/10) The food tasted great and was reasonably priced, the portions are generous, and the staff was very attentive. I also loved the ambiance of the place. The decor was nice and modern and the vibe was very warm and inviting. I would definitely come back for more!

This Persian restaurant came highly recommended by a friend, and I can see why; it blew me away. After exploring several Persian spots in Los Angeles, New York and San Diego, this one stands out as the best. I ordered the Soltani kebab, two gorgeous squares, one of koobideh and one of barg and swapped the usual white rice for their fragrant dill rice, known as baghali polo. It was a flavor explosion. Before the main course, they offered a complimentary appetizer of fresh greens and feta with fresh cooked warm bread. It's simple, but so spot-on. I also tried their kashk-e bademjan, an eggplant dip, which was decent, though not the best I've had. The kashk flavor just didn't hit the mark for me. The price was incredibly reasonable for the quality you get. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and even with a full house, the service was smooth and seamless. I also peeked into the restroom and it was clean, always a sign of a well-run place. This spot is a total standout, and for any Persian food lover, it's a must. I'm absolutely giving it five stars and can't wait to come back for more!

Highly recommended. All entrees are $15-18 and portion was really big that we could not finish. Tastes good and you feel like you are eating healthy food.

First time coming to the new location, much bigger than the old one, congrats! Avesta is one of my top 3 Persian places to go to. Mango lasee was top tier, not too sweet. Kubideh portion was HUGE! a lot of rice than what I need. The meat was soft and flavorful they give 1 small tomatoe on the side. We got seated pretty quickly and served immediately. Place is super casual.

What an excellent friendly and delicious spot ! Very clean space and service was quick. Great tasting complimentary bread. We will be back for the wonderful food here!

It didn't have that metallic, irony taste like liver which I hate thankfully either. The tomatoes were juicy and charred well with a refreshing taste. The bread the veggies that came out were very good. The appetizer sampler we got the eggplant dish, hummus, and yogurt and shallot. The hummus was not our favorite as our other go to Persian places seem to have a smoother texture but the eggplant was good. The yogurt was pretty tangy with light shallot flavor that wasn't super detectable but it was still nice. The koobideh was juicy and the rice and tahdig that came with it was super yummy. I don't love the seasoning for the chicken koobideh but that's just a preference thing nothing was wrong or unpleasant about it. The lamb koobideh was on point. The meat that my SO had was very good as well. Beef was tender. The chicken was tender. The only thing I was confused about was that my SO was supposed to also have tahdig on his rice but didn't receive it, he just got normal rice. My SO didn't tell me until the very end of the meal though so we didn't say anything to them but it was strange to forget that part of the meal. We didn't knock them for that because my SO didn't bring it to their attention and I'm sure they would have fixed it if we told them. Service was very friendly. They kept checking on us and were very polite. The outside of the restaurant is unassuming in a strip mall but the inside is pretty. There are some other Persian places that we prefer but the tahdig and the service and the juiciness of the meat were great here. The hummus was not our favorite though which to us is a big component that we like to eat. 4/5.

The lamb shank was good, but we had to ask for the sauce that normally comes with it. She brought it. The butter was melted, so dripped over the rice easily. I guess it was too much to ask that the bread plate include feta cheese like at other Persian restaurants. I don't recommend coming in late as the bread was very hard. Dipping it in the sauce helped.
