I had a great experience! I went to see The Mandalorian and Grogu in 4DX. I've never seen a movie in 4D, so I was so excited. It made it extra special that it was a Star Wars movie at that! When I walked in, I noticed the theater was very clean, and I liked that there were a lot of self-serve stations for printing tickets and even ordering food. They had a cute little setup to take photos for The Mandalorian with props! The seats were comfortable, and the 4D aspect was amazing, with water, wind, and lots of movement. Almost like a mini roller coaster! I had the best time !The screen was huge, the sound was great, and the graphics were crisp and amazing! Will definitely visit again for future 4D movies! read more

Really nice theater. It's in the other side of Charlotte so I really only go to use the 4D theater which is worth experiencing. Makes you feel like you were in the movie. Place is always clean and the staff is efficient. read more

Wow. This place has changed so much since my last visit. Movie tickets must be purchased online or using the kiosk upon entry. Although, I prefer purchasing tickets the old way, the kiosk is quick. The concessions haven't change much but the prices have. I ordered a small slushy and popcorn for $22. The slushy size small is what use to be considered a large. This was a little shocking. Both were great and did last the entire movie. There is also a bar inside for those who want something else to drink with their snacks. The movie theater was clean and seating was more spacious than I remembered. It was freezing inside and I was thankful for always having hot hands with me. Worst theater I've ever been to. Went to see Odyssey in 4D because the experience was supposed to be out of this world. We drove from out of town only to find that none of the 4D functions were working. There was no water spray. There were no smells. The seats were uncomfortable and violently shaking us around and no other features were working in the theatre. Complete waste of time and money. about an hour into the show the Air-conditioning in the theater cut out leaving the theater, hot and muggy for the final hour and a half of the movie people were spraying perfume to cover up body odor as everyone was sweating and trying to remove clothing. After the movie, there was no manager available to speak with so we had to email their customer service. They advised us that they will respond to us in five days and we have yet to hear anything from anyone regarding a refund or an explanation of why our experience was so bad. I'm sure there will be an automated response to this review by their corporate office who does absolutely nothing to try to make things right we've emailed and called several times and all they say is someone will get back to you from the local theater and no one ever does. Don't support this company. They don't care about their customers This particular theater has had many issues, including rats, dirty bathrooms, dirty theaters, and multiple air-conditioning issues. I would not recommend ever viewing a movie in this theater as you will never get a refund if you're not satisfied with your experience, I would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT COME TO THIS THEATER OR SUPPORT REGAL AS A COMPANY. read more

I arrived around 9:20pm for a 9pm showing of Snow White with my son. I have the regal unlimited subscription and just paid for my son's ticket. We walked over after finishing dinner at a restaurant in the area. Even though we got there "late", the previews were ongoing and the movie didn't start until 9:30pm. If you buy tickets ahead, you just go to the correct side of the theater and there will be a person there to check you in. We were in auditorium 9. While the seats did recline, they weren't comfortable at all. Additionally, the leather on the seats were peeling or simply gone. We sat on the top row and the barrier is too high because it cuts the bottom of the screen off. We didn't get concessions so I cannot comment on that. The restrooms were clean. read more

Went here yesterday to see Freakier Friday and it was a great experience. There are many movie time options and a lot of restaurants in the area which is nice to stop by before or after. The staff were very friendly at the concession stand and scanning tickets. The seats and theater were cleaned from the movie prior. Some of the seats were worn, but overall comfortable and reclined nicely. I also enjoy being able to choose my seat beforehand. Overall this was a great place to see a movie! read more

I was super excited to go see the new Final Destination in 4dx. I absolutely love 4dx. It was super packed for a Sunday, but it wasn't too hard to find parking. It's in a really busy area with places to eat and shop everywhere. It does stand alone though. There's machines for you to order tickets without talking to someone or waiting in line, but they were a little difficult to use because they kept freezing. So i decided to go to customer service instead. The guy was nice. I spent $33 on 2 kids tickets for a regular movie, yes KIDS for a REGULAR movie. We waited in line for popcorn. I was going to do the family combo (large popcorn, 2 drinks, 2 bags of candy), but that was $44. I ended up getting another deal for $28 with only a large popcorn, 1 drink, and 1 bag of candy. They do have a bar if you'd like to drink. The area with the 4dx movies was lit brightly. We found our seats and made just in time. The 4dx experience was nothing short of amazing. I even felt some new things I never felt before. There was a row of seats that were broken and didn't work. The water button on my seat also didn't work. Of course I'll be back bc this is the only 4dx movie theater in NC. read more

Down to the wire to see A Complete Unknown, the Bob Dylan Movie. This is a one stop shop for movies. They have multiple screens. They have IMAX too as well as 3D. It's so easy to get your tickets in advance using their app or the on-site kiosk. The theater is clean, the seats are big and comfortable. They have every type of concession you could imagine. The bathrooms are clean and easily accessible. I just don't like ALL the commercials and previews. Literally 20 minutes of stuff before the feature starts. read more

The counter tops at concessions are disgustingly grimy. There isn't a single square inch of clean countertop to put your drink and popcorn down for a minute. They look like they haven't been properly wiped down in months. How hard is it to find a clean wash cloth and apply some elbow grease? It's not. Management apparently just doesn't care. All of the seats in theater 19 are worn down to the canvas and are covered in stains. It's a sad sight that makes me not want to try any of the other theaters at this location. The sound was extremely loud. I covered my ears several times during the previews of the movie. Then the movie itself was too loud. I thought about talking to the manager but if they can't keep clean countertops, how likely are they to care about sound safety? Not likely. read more

This is probably the nicest movie theater in the Charlotte area. Went here to see a 4DX movie and it was an awesome experience! Clean seats and relatively small crowd on the day I visited. Bathrooms were also clean and everything was in good shape elsewhere. Lots of screens here and if you can find a good interactive movie for 4DX go do it - really cool to be involved in the movie! read more

This location we'll do nothing if a fight arises in your theater that has nothing to do with you. They will literally sit back and wait while you break up the fight, and have to wait on cops. Well I've been coming to this theatre for almost 2 years now at this specific location and I just continue to see the service go down hill... especially with prices for concessions going up.. I've been a regal member since 2019. Regal is really starting to get greedy and on top of that customer Service sucks when you try to reach out to anybody about payments on the app. I was paying $14.99/ month in 2019, then $18.99/ month in recent years and then for two years now I've been paying $25/month and now regal membership they want you to pay $77/3months now and you don't get the option to pay monthly anymore. save your money and just watch movies at home. 3D movie theatre at Regal Stonecrest theatre in Charlotte,nc is worth it though, other than that not much else to say... read more

We sat down and 45 seconds into the first movie trailer we were so distracted and disturbed by the jarring static and inconsistent volume blaring from the speaker in the back right corner, we left. We approached guest services and the super friendly staff member said "yeah, there's a sound issue there, we know....". He offered us to go back to our seats and see the movie and enjoy a free pass for a movie in the future, however the issue is THAT BAD, we opted for a refund and left. We will never return - there are plenty of better options in the area. This place is a train wreck - staff are excellent though so the star goes to the staff. read more

Last night we went to this 4D movie theatre to check out the new fast & furious movie which was insane in 4D‼ Did you guys know we had a 4D movie theatre here in Charlotte? I wasn't aware so we decided to go and check it out for ourselves . So for those that have never heard of 4D or been to a 4D theatre . It's combining a 3D film with physical effects that occur in the theatre in synchronization with the film. ... Seats in 4D venues may vibrate or move a few centimeters during the presentations, water splashing, lights flashing with shooting , oh let me not forget to mention how when the characters were fighting in the movie we felt that action punching in the back of our seats. Lots to choose from as far as show time but the theaters themselves are a little gross. The seats recline and are comfy but the leather is worn and ripped. They are kept clean and the service was good however the food left something to be desired. The hot dog was not very warm and the but was stale, the nachos were ok but the cheese was not very hot and the popcorn was ok but the butter tasted a little generic (if that makes sense). They have a nice bar with good drinks but this place is not the greatest. Will definitely go back because they have so many show times. read more

(1/28/20) I just saw Bad Boys for Life in 4DX. I had always wondered what that ttheater was like. It's a combination theme park ride and movie. Your seat moves with the action on the screen with puffs of wind and water tossed in. There's also smoke. All in all it was an interesting experience. The seats are not comfortable compared to the recliners though. I'm glad that I tried the experience. (2/26/20) My wife and I came out to see Call of the Wild starring Harrison Ford in theater 4. Four is a comfortable and clean space. The screen is a good size even if your seats are up towards the back. The movie was pretty good and after it was done I was impressed by how clean the men's room was . (3/4/20) Tonight we're seeing the Invisible Man in the IMAX theater. I've never seen a film in this setting. The first thing I noticed other than the theater being empty was that the screen is curved. The screen also seems larger than a normal screen. The sound so far sounds very clean and clear. After the film was over I noticed that there were two projectors! I'd never seen that before. The theater was immaculate as was the men's bathroom near the bar. read more

This movie theatre is great--they have so many formats to choose from that you can always see movies as intended. The staff is friendly and helpful, the bathrooms and theatres are kept clean. You can tell that they care about this place and we are lucky to still have a few big movie theatres like this left. Ignore the low ratings on here -- people on yelp leaving bad reviews for things like having to watch ads and trailers before their movie begins--which is completely standard across all movie theatres--are just ridiculous. This is one of the best, if not the best, movie theatres in CLT. read more

Updated from 5 stars. Ever since this theater has opened back up after Covid, it is just not the same. It is usually dirty, many of the seats are torn up and deteriorating and in the 4DX, whole sections don't even work. Also they pretty much just play Indian movies and old movies now. I canceled my regal premium movie pass because I have no desire to watch Indian movies and half the time new releases are only playing at 3 or 4 time slots. What a shame as this was the best theater around for sooooo long. read more

I have been to this movie theater multiple times in the past, as it's the only one in my area that does 4DX. I have had great experiences each time. More recently I went to see Gardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 and had a sub par time out the gate. Arriving to the theater there was plenty of parking which I was pleased with and the staff was very attentive and cordial. The problem arose when I got to my seat and it was filthy. There seemed to be peanut butter smeared on the seat, popcorn everywhere, just an overall mess. I took it upon myself to find a staff member to take care of it. Once I found the staff member the problem was quick to be solved. They immediately got on their radios and I had someone helping me clean my seats within 5 minutes. Unfortunately the mess was out of the control of the theater but in hindsight I think a more thorough cleaning of the theater in between shows would alleviate this problem in the future. Overall a solid venture, minus the hiccup at the beginning. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and responsive with my issue. I will definitely be returning in the future. read more

Went here to see Black Adam a couple weeks ago in 4DX and what an experience! It's a new cool way to watch movies especially action packed films and I don't think I can go back to watching regular movies again! The wind, the water, the pop you out your seat motion is life!! The only complaint I have about this theater is that the bar closed before the 7:50pm movie so I couldn't grab a cocktail before hand and the popcorn line was extremely long with only 2 staff behind the bar so arrive early if you want a snack. read more

IMAX here ranks solidly behind Northlake but still ahead of Concord Mills. It's another retrofit, like CM. Seats are full heated recliners, though. Sound system gets the job done. Screen is basically the same size as Concord Mills, but not laser, and the image quality is probably the worst (or least-impressive) of the three. Haven't seen anything in the RPX or standard auditoriums, so can't comment on those. read more

I (17 M) went to see Terrifier 3 with my friend (17 F) which is a non rated movie which means it has no age rating so we did not think to bring our ids. a male worker saw our tickets without an id and let us go in to see the movie. 10 minutes later me and my friend went to go get water and when we tried to come back Angela harshly stopped us and said we needed an id immediately and i said i did not bring mine because i didn't think i would need it since it is an unrated movie and no where did it say we needed to bring them and she said we had to leave and i said i left my stuff inside and asked to get it back and she said no but i left my phone and blanket and debit card inside so i needed it and when i said to her she was very rude to us, rushed us, harassed us, profiled us, stereotyped us and it was a very uncomfortable and aggressive situation and treated me and my friend like we were some sort of ruthless sexual hormonal teenagers. When i went to guest service the wonderful, caring, kind, kindhearted, selfless, beautiful, outstanding carina was there to listin to our experience and help us every way she could and made us feel heard and understood and helped in every way possible and i could not thank her enough for her outstanding preformance and how hard she works every single day. Compared to other movie theaters in Charlotte, there is a lot left to be desired. I think at one point this was a great movie theater but it can now use an update. The seats are worn and you can see how the leather is degraded across all the seats. The popcorn was cold and the selection for drinks was very limited. The service was quick and you got drinks and popcorn without much of a wait. We did come early on a Friday so I can not speak on how the evening/night compares. They have a massive parking lot and are surrounded by different restaurants if you want to get food before or after. With how expensive going to movie theaters has become you want your experience to be worth it. I think with some updates they could be great again. read more

Ideally, if half stars were a thing, I'd rate at 3.5. Given that's not an option, I round up since I did have a very good experience. Customer service was great. Staff was friendly. I was looking forward to movie theater popcorn but it wasn't good and didn't taste fresh - despite us going to the first showing. It could've been popcorn from the night before. The theater was large and spacious and appeared to be clean upon entering. What stood out like a sore thumb was the fact that the recliner chairs looked so worn down and not maintained at all. While not necessarily indicative of the cleanliness, it's one of those things just made me feel a little, ick. I've been to other Regal theaters that have fantastic kept-up chairs - maybe this theater is just a little older. Overall it's a good theater and there was nothing that would deter me from returning. read more
