We recently went to Redstone to see a movie and the reason we chose Redstone is because it's slightly closer to us than StoneCrest. My first impressions are it's clean, well lit and the signage is decent. The movie theater is new so these are things you'd expect. There are 14 screens and the one we were in offered Dolby Atmos which sounded great but was over the top for the movie we were watching. The seats recline back so it was very comfortable. The seats here compared to other theaters where the seats recline are vastly different. Plus we had to kick ppl out of our prime middle back row seats as they could not tell the difference between row A and O. Come on ppl you have to select your seats and you picked front row (which was probably all that was left) bc it was opening day and no other good seats were left. But it was a man with a bunch of kids and other dads. Probably his first time taking all the kids to a movie solo and he obviously purchased the tickets all by himself. Been to Redstone several times and it isn't a bad theater. It's clean, the employees are helpful and generally a good experience. The theater chairs though in some theaters are really worn and could definitely use a refresh. Nothing yet to the point of being uncomfortable but getting very close. Movie experience costs too much to have that. read more

Cheap prices compared to other places. Nice theater and definitely is in a nice area. People will sit in your assigned seats if you're not there early but it's not a problem if you just ask them to move. read more

This is the closest theater to me but I gotta say I really like it. The staff is usually always nice and they do a great job of keeping everything clean. I do wish the beer selection was better but, something is better than nothing, also the trays they have to put popcorn in are so small. I like a theater that lets me put my own butter on my popcorn, that way I can make it the way I like it. They also play throwback films that are always fun to take the kids to see. read more

We went to the movie theater to see Sound of Freedom. A rear occasion for us, but the movie is an excellent story of kidnapped children and the millions of people held in slavery. There are more people in slavery today than ever were when slavery was "legal" and common. The theater itself is very nice, and super clean. I think 14 screens, each with tiered seating. Very comfy seats with armrests that will hold beverages. Two surprises: it was not as Arctic-ally cold as I have been experiencing so the sweatshirt I brought was not necessary. And the volume was not the blaring, ear drum-pounding volume that is also a regular torture at theaters. Sound was actually a little too low. What killed us was the prices. The 11am matinee was $7.75 each = $15.50. Not too bad, but the killer was at the refreshment stand. They offered frozen margaritas (!) so we had one each ($15 each = $30) and a medium bag of popcorn for just under $8. It was over $50 to see a movie! Yikes, yikes, yikes. Pity the dating man or the family man. Even a kid show is this expensive, and there were a number being played. Mom, dad and children would be knocking on the $100 door. Taking a date? Look at $50 or more depending on how hungry you and your date are. But...we enjoyed the movie, the huge screen even bigger than our 70" at home and I do think that the Star Wars kind of movies do need to be seen on the theater screens. read more

This is a new movie theater that just opened back in March. Many stores and shops are being worked on. Some establishments have opened. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Thought it was a Regal Cinema or an AMC one which they were not and they have their own loyalty program. Lots of movies to select from. The chairs are so comfortable. Widescreen with great acoustics. I am all about the experience when going to a movie. Still physically enjoy purchasing movie tickets instead of going to some machine and buying them which is so confusing and cause lots of chaos. As you walk in, right in front is the concession area. Items all nicely displayed. Bathrooms are clean. After movie ends before you get out of seat already someone ready waiting in the wings to clean up the place. Will definitely be back. Really, nice theater. read more

So glad to have a nearby theater which features 14 separate cinemas. I visited on the second day of the grand opening. Friendly staff, comfortable rocket seating ( sorry no reclining), great wide screens, senior discounts. I asked if I had a loyalty card which one should present at each visit. Free popcorn on this grand opening weekend. I heard there will be a senior priced movie day as well as discounted children's movie day.Will update for the future. This theatre is fantastic and totally a hidden gem. I'm almost torn I'm reviewing it because I don't want it to get too popular for fear the ambience will be ruined. It's very classic and straightforward. No nonsense, no fluff. They carry new releases and sometimes some throwbacks. Very clean. Good concessions. Good prices. Friendly workers. Ample parking. Quite a few good restaurants surrounding the theatre too should you like a meal before or after viewing a film. read more

Like most other reviewers, there are things I like and don't like about this theater. There are 14 screens so you get a lot of choices. There are quite a number of restaurants in the immediate area so you have choices. I really like The Office which is just adjacent and it's just steps away. You have the option of purchasing tickets on-line and they do offer military Vet & Senior discounts. The screens are large, the seats are large, the lobby is large and there is plenty of free parking close by. The bathrooms are large and clean. They have a large concession area and offer beer & wine and they do have several local craft beer options. Their loyalty program is minimal. No reserved seating. No IMAX option No reclining seats It's close to Fort Mill and it doesn't seem like it's crowded and for those reasons, I will return. read more

Awesome theater for a weekday matinee. I'm sure parking is crazy on a weekend or even a weeknight but it was pretty dead during the day on a weekday. There was plenty of staff working the concession station. The wine is a pretty small pour but only $7. Only certain staff can serve wine so that took a bit longer. The popcorn was fresh. The staff at red stone were fantastic. I also love the shopping center that it's located in. Went to see Star Wars. Too bad I am not reviewing that lol. I bought popcorn. I think that the prices here are very reasonable. It's really pretty inside. A very large movie theater. I only gave them a 4 because they do not have reclining seats. I don't understand how a new theater could have regular seating. I was really disappointed about that. I have gotten spoiled with heated and reclining seats. The picture quality of the movie was great so if you don't need the extra amenities I would definitely it'll go to this theater. There weren't any lines. They do not have assigned seating so if it is a busy night make sure to get there early. read more

I want to like this place, but I can't get past the fact that they don't have any of the modern conveniences of the other theaters in the area. No Fandango, no reserved seats, and to top it off - Jurassic World opened last night and there is 1 3D show today (Saturday) at 12:25pm. Why in the world is that the case - and who wants to wait in a line and risk getting a crummy seat? They just built this place a couple months ago! Great theatre ! Always clean, usually a lot of room even on the weekends so you have your choice of seating. Guests are typically courteous and lots of desserts and restaurants nearby for before and after the show. This is my favorite theatre and it feels like a "best kept secret" ! read more

Writing this review while in the theater, because I can't understand why there are so many issues that we have NEVER experienced elsewhere... The volume of The Lion King is so low that you can hear the sound from the theater to our right over this movie! We can actually hear everyone chewing their popcorn or drinking their drinks and if I chew my popcorn I can't hear the movie! Their Popcorn is way too salty! The seats do not recline and the prices are already expensive, but are ESPECIALLY pricy considering the circumstances we're currently dealing with, NOT Happy! At All! For a new theater this place is sub-par. About the only good thing is the ticket price. The popcorn and drink sizes are smaller than regal but cost more. There are no reclining seats. They did put in a half hearted attempt to serve beer...so I guess there's that. The service is horrible as well. My husband and I went to Redstone 14 last Saturday night with another couple to see a movie (they had a sitter, great excuse for a double date)... Although I cannot for the life of me figure out why anyone would build a theatre in this area now without adding in recliner seats and the option to choose your seats ahead of time online... this theatre is lovely. The seats are clean, the bathrooms are sparkling, the popcorn and concessions are fresh and good, and the employees are all quite kind and very accommodating! I think this area will soon be just as busy as (if not moreso than) the Stonecrest area, but for now, it was VERY nice to be able to see a movie in a theatre the way I did in high school!! It seems like a fun place until me and my friends wanted to go see a movie and they wouldn't let us in.

Why would you build a brand new movie theatre withOUT recliner seating?!? I just don't get it. I went to this theatre because it was new, expecting it to have all the bells and whistles. But that wasn't the case. It's like a brand new theater from 15 years ago. 1. No recliners. All the premiere theaters have recliner seating. This place does not. No leg extension, no reclining. 2. No reserved seating. You have to come early and sit around for 30 minutes or so to get a good seat. 3. Can't buy tickets via Fandango or related service. Granted I only saw one theater, so others could have recliners I suppose. But I saw RP1 (a feature film), in their largest RPX theater... So if that didn't have them I doubt the others do. And even if they do, who wants the unpredictability of not knowing if you'll get comfortable seating? Needless to say I will not be going back. Especially not with Stonecrest just about 5-10 minutes away. Also, the theater was only 1/3 filled, for a movie that was sold out in the other nearby theaters. Saw a movie there the other night. The staff was friendly and helpful, not bored and looking to be somewhere else. It was nice to have someone in the ticket booth verses Stonecrest Theaters where you only have automated machines to purchase tickets from. I think once the restaurants fill in the shopping plaza this place will be hopping! It would be nice if the theater was attached to Fandango so I could purchase tickets from home if I needed to. read more

Come back to the movies! I'm an avid movie goer who greatly lamented the closure of theaters during the pandemic. I was very pleased to see this theater had reopened. It is nice and new and clean. The staff are friendly. Prices are on par with other theaters. They don't have recliners or reserved seating but the seats are comfortable and there is hardly anyone going to the movies now so reserved seating isn't necessary. The Covid guidelines still prevent refills at this point (AMC Pineville has one up on them as they now do refills again). Masks are required except when eating in the movie. Restrooms are tidy and they have separate family restrooms. All in all I greatly enjoyed my return to the movies at this theater! I will continue to support the movie going experience! read more

It's a good theater with stadium seat, perfect for a shortie like me. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The theater looks nice but overall 1/5. So my main complaint is the fact that I was charged 23.22 for a large bucket pop corn and a large drink. The large popcorn is 8$ and the large drink is 6$ (yknow movie prices) but 8+6=14 NOT 22 (and yes that's all I got), and I know I'm not being charged an extra 8$ for sales tax. And she didn't give me a receipt so there's nothing I can do about it. Not buying food and drinks here again. read more

Just had the worst experience ever in my life in any movie theater. Got 5:30 showing for Spider-man. They gave me a CC device since I'm deaf. So first 10 minutes of the movie it wasn't working. Talked to the manager and she let us watch the 6:30 showing. That didn't even work. Wasted 2 hours of my time and $15 on popcorn and drink. She gave us our money back. I just don't understand how this happened. With so much advanced technology we have in this world, this isn't an improvement. I never had any issue at Stonecrest in Ballantyne. I really hope this place would fix this issue and support the deaf community so they can be able to enjoy and watch the movie. It would be a great disappointment if it doesn't fix. Two hours of my time that I wish I would have back and go to stonecrest.... Hope it's a wake up call! read more
