Came on a Tuesday. Only two people inside working on their computers and two workers. I think the girl at the register was fairly new. I mentioned it was my first time and I've been filling azúcar on insta and happy I was finally able to come. All I got was ok cool. When asking about their cafe de olla the girl didn't know if it was sweetened. I just wanted to know if it had milk and sugar or not. Well anyways I then asked about one of their pan dulces and she said it had strawberry jam and in my head I said no it doesn't because I didn't want to correct her. But I decided to try to confirm my thoughts yep no jam. Got the cafe de olla I liked it and definitely would come back to try something else. they have so many yummy options id like to try, Gansito, mazapán late!! What! Inside is cute simple. This is probably my most favorite coffee shop in the Valley! The ambiance is fantastic, I almost don't want to tell people about it because it's so great. It's a bit out of the way for me, but I love studying here with the in-seat outlets, self serve water, free wifi and ordering their mocha, seasonal lattes, and most especially their cafe de olla, which is fantastic. All their cookies are amazing, and they will customize things to your liking if it's in their power. I got an iced white peppermint mocha and it was really good! the tiramisu latte was also good, pretty sweet. the mango immunity spritzer was not as mango as i thought haha but still good. I got the Cáfe de Olla and it was DELICIOSO! Seriously though, this place is so impressive. My coffee was so good and I can't wait to try this place again. The Cáfe de Olla has Mexican spices in it and it was incredible, I would highly suggest it. The cafe vibes were chill and clean. The actual cafe was modern with tasteful, simple decor. The ONLY problem with this place is it's location. I would go here all the time if it weren't so far away from SLC/Cottonwood Heights. I went out of my way to try this place and yes of course it was good, but the extra few dollars it costs me to get there ends up making it a very expensive beverage. Next time I hope to try the pastries because those looked amazing but I am trying to be "healthier" so I opted out this time. Oof... Can't wait to stop by next time I'm in the area again! read more

came back after a year to see if there's been any improvement. I tried the Dubai latte with an extra shot in a 16oz, i gotta say, this was definitely worth the drive again. happy to say it was the perfect drink- it was the perfect amount of sweetness to my liking. service was a little slow however, it does give you time to enjoy their indoor aesthetic going on. the seasonal menu sounded really yum, so looks like i'll be back real soon! read more

Damn, and i do mean damn. The Horchata Matcha was to die for. 5 out of 5 for sure. I can't believe this place has been here for 3 years.

The matcha was delicious definitely the best hot matcha I've had. The avocado toast had honey and what I think is butter which took me by surprise. Although I very much enjoyed it and the avocado was plentiful. I will definitely be going back so delicious! read more

This is a cute and new little coffee shop. The employees were friendly. I like it's potential, I love coffee. Some of the flavors were unique and different. Like a horchata latte and a ganzito latte. They were pretty good. But a 20 oz ganzito is a bit steep at $7.75, the pastries look nice, conchas, croissants muffins, etc. But what I tasted was a bit dry. But they also have ice cream. Personal experience: I did love the look inside the café and such an amazing smell of mexican pastries felt welcomed once you walk into the shop! Drinks: I ordered my usual and that's just an iced Macha with oat milk, and a shot of espresso! And I am kinda disappointed since it does taste more oat milk than Macha and the espresso together. Secondly I did order an iced Latte and yet again it tasted more milk than coffee? I was in the area and found this searching for coffee on Yelp. I am obsessed with this place and wish they had a spot closer to me! The menu is simple but offers a good variety- and I want to try everything on the superfood drink menu. I wasn't hungry enough to try the food (I will come back for that though) and I LOVED my Beet Root latte. I didn't know what to expect, but it was delicious! Inside is cute - not super big. I wanted a different place for coffee in this area I hadn't been to before. I drove only about 2 miles out the way but it was still worth it! Probably the best coffee I have had in a long time!! The restaurant was quiet and very gorgeous. It look's completely remodeled or brand new. The ladies who took my order were nice but the service took quite awhile. I would still recommend as a place to sit and read or do schoolwork if needed or get a quick coffee to go, but unfortunately no togo window. Came because of the review in the tribune, my expectations were high. I had the spirulina drink, and my friend had the Mexican mocha, we got some pastries. I've been coming to Azúcar for a while now and I'm in love with the small cozy atmosphere I get when walking in and the aesthetic decor! I've tried many of their drinks before which are all good and they have never disappointed me until recently. Lately my drinks have been coming out tasting watered down or they don't add what I specifically ask for. I've had to ask to remake my drinks a couple times already which isn't a good thing especially when I'm in a rush. The good thing is that the staff are always willing to listen and help out! I usually try to come in when my favorite barista is there to avoid this but I don't think this should be happening in the first place at all. Also I miss the energy that the old staff had now it's a bit bleak. Regardless highly recommend checking this place out if you're interested!
