This is my last Starbucks of my business trip before heading home. Appreciated the tables, the A/C and inside tables of the compact cafe space. The service is as fast(because there were a ton of people behind the counter) and the drinks and snacks were exactly what I've expected from Starbucks. Recent visit order - Iced Sugar Cookie Breve & White Chocolate Mocha. Both were made correctly, no issue with the drinks at all. Service was polite, no frills - just got my order, took my payment and handed me my drinks. I haven't been to this location in a long time, but now that I'm back in the office, I decided to stop and grab some coffee on the way in. That is where I went wrong - I remembered while in line that this location has been the slowest I have ever been to, both inside and in the drive thru. I went thru the drive thru this time (convenience!) and it was about 9am. About 7 cars in front of me and more behind me. Unless there is no one in line, I will opt for any other coffee place on the way into the office including walking into a Maverick or 7-11 for theirs. read more

I walked in and only one person ahead of me. Drive thru was very long. Placed my order. Four other people arrived, placed their order at the counter and got their order before me. I waited almost 25 minutes before the person that took my order noticed me still waiting at the end of the counter where everyone else was picking and then boom i watched my drink get made. Meh. I go to various Starbucks several times a week- first time at this one. I order the same thing every time- the impossible breakfast sandwich (which I typically LOVE) After being in the car line for almost 20 minutes- finally got to the window and got our Order. My sandwich was in pieces in the bag- cheese smeared all over the bag. Gross I mentioned it to the girl- completely expecting an offer for a fresh, newly made one.... Nope. She says "Oh yeah for some reason that always happens with that breakfast sandwich". Ummm, yeah no it doesn't- not at any other Starbucks I've ever gotten this Sammy from...But ..,if it does at YOURS- then figure out WHY and fix the problem ffs. So. It's Starbucks and this Yelp, and though Starbucks is a chain, this particular location deserves a review. I travel to SLC a few times a month and this is the closest location to my hotel. To begin, I think the staff here hate their lives. They are never pleasant, cordial, nor any other adjective one might use when describing someone whose job involves customer service. Secondly, this store has the slowest service I have ever experienced at a Starbucks. I never use the drive thru so this is strictly related to service in the cafe. My drink is brewed coffee with cream. Pour it, add cream. Easy, right? Not here. Unlike most stores who immediately pour your drip coffee, here your order is put in the cue with all the mobile and drive thru orders. I once waited over 10 min for my drink and only received it because I went to the register and was like WTF? An aside to this is it's 50/50 on whether or not they will have brewed any drip coffee this time of the morning. Next, to avoid the ridiculous wait times I've encountered I tried mobile ordering so that my drink would be waiting for me when I arrived. Smart, no? NO. Twice I've ordered on the app and arrived to find the store is closed. Not sure when they 'open' but the app won't let you order from a store that is closed. I had to contact customer service to get refunded. Of the times they were open, only once was my drink waiting for me. The lobby is dirty and old and I wonder if this one will get an update. The drive thru here seems really busy, so I doubt they'll shut it down. Scrolling through recent reviews I really wonder if corporate realizes how awful this location is. Their drive thru is so incredibly slow. Takes me 20 minutes for one drink. The one in West Jordan on 5600 and 7800 is super fast.

It takes a lot for me to make negative reviews. I really feel bad, but when I give you my order, repeat my order, also ask you if you heard the part about the extra caramel drizzle on my cup and you acknowledge that you did. My mind is blown when there's no caramel drizzle and it's upsetting. One thing I hate more than giving reviews like this, is having to complain about the drink in person when you guys are slammed packed busy both inside and in the drive through, having to remake a drink. Ultimately I'm the bad guy both ways. Maybe that can be a reason why the caramel drizzle was forgotten but I don't know. I'm still so upset. Starbucks is known for its quality. Any Starbucks anywhere should be the same. Not here. I can't believe corporate allows this to go on in one of their stores. The bathroom: not clean and the faucet was broken. The faucet handle is laying in the sink. From what I read, this has been broken for weeks. The line for the drive through was long and slow. I went into the store and I could see the monitor indicating that customers were waiting over 5 minutes to order. The store is a disaster. There were 10 unclaimed drinks at the mobile order section. I waited 15 minutes for my drink and those drinks were still sitting there. Waiting 15 minutes for an iced coffee?? Only to then tell me they are out? They are overly unorganized. No straws, no creamer, no coffee stir sticks, no napkins. They were out of frappe mix, caramel, cold brew. I waited 15 minutes then had to change over to another drink. There was only one barista making drinks and 5 other girls wondering around. I go to Starbucks a lot, and this one is in need of a complete overhaul. Until then, Avoid it at all costs. read more

Working in the ER during this pandemic has been very challenging and exhausting. My coworker and I stopped in here before our shift and the staff was so kind and thanked us for our hard work. They paid for our drinks. It's was so sweet and made our whole night. I'm a frequently traveler and leverage Starbucks for excellent iced green tea as well as a mobile office. All Starbucks stores are not equal, the West Valley location is one of the best! Michelle, Skyler, and Ben provide excellent service but more importantly have created a great environment for their customers. I have been here for about 2 hours and it has been a pleasure watching them operate. They recognize and acknowledge their regulars while making everyone welcome. I was traveling in the area for work, staying at a nearby hotel and was delighted to find a Starbucks open before the one in Target. Unfortunately both of my visits here during my trip were less than desirable. My first visit was for a coffee carrier and the cashier (who I somehow got on both days) seemed less than pleased to help me and did so by telling me it would be a half an hour to get it ready. I know it might take a few minutes, maybe even 10 but 30?! She also didn't seem to move very quickly in getting things ready for it and I had to check in with her several times to make sure it was still moving along. If I find myself in this area again for work, I'll try the drive through as this gal needs some work on how she delivers information and customer service in general. read more

I come to the Starbucks every morning. They put a sign out saying they were out of pumpkin, so I was already stuck in the line and could not reverse so I HAD to go through and changed my mind and decided to get a different drink and tried to order at the window. I explained the situation at the window and the lady told me I need to ask her manager if I can order my drink and I said OK yes please ask the manager. I've been to many Starbucks worldwide (please bring Peach Frappuccinos to the states!) and this has to be one of my faves! The drive thru is seriously a plus, especially on busy mornings. This would be considered my local Starbucks since I live down the street and I'm happy that it is. I feel like a lot of people either really love Starbucks or they really hate it. I'm a fan and a very loyal customer like the true PNW native I am and this Starbucks store really is a great one. The service can be perceived as a hit or miss - you'll either have a super friendly barista or one that's a little more reserved. It doesn't bother me because I understand we all have different personalities and working styles but I've never been helped by anyone rude. This Starbucks is extremely slow! If you are on a schedule or need to stick to a time frame don't come here. I waited in the drive through for 30+ minutes. When we got to the window they handed me the wrong drink and when I let her know she rolled her eyes and turned to remake the drink. There were four or more employee's standing around. This is the worst Starbucks that I have been to.. they are slow and their restrooms are never maintained.. for the past month the faucet has been broken the handle falls off, the floors are always sticky, and there is never paper products. I've complained to Starbucks corporate SEVERAL times about this particular location and nothing ever seems to get done. I've been a regular at this location since it opened. During my years of coming here, I've noticed a serious decline in attentive/helpful staff, management and standard housekeeping practices. This location is generally very unclean and has an issue with flies (should you decide to stay). I'm presently writing this review from this location and watching the behavior of the staff. Pretty complacent and not really caring of their work surroundings. The store manager is also here and oblivious to the the overall condition of his store. The young baristas are quite loud and seem to not realize how some of their sometimes inappropriate conversations carry throughout this environment. Although such conversations have yet to offend me, they can get monotonous and irritating. Several months ago, I vowed never to come here again. I even expressed this in calls and emails to regional and corporate management. I think I was right to make such a decision. After being here again a few times the last month, nothing has changed and clearly never will. I officially proclaim this the laziest, dirtiest Starbucks in Utah. At this point, I've just accepted this location as the Wal*Mart of Starbucks. I just come here to see what I'll notice next and giggle at. Or get annoyed by. I'm too lazy to travel anywhere else, honestly. Even though there is a Beans & Brews right across the street, that place is just as frustrating. I would like to note that with my last complaint to Starbucks corporate (which seemed to get a bit of attention because three separate people from Starbucks called me), I did see one change that I felt was very necessary. A young man that is here working regularly had a very nasty, unkempt beard. He has since shaved that off and looks MUCH better (and far cleaner) without it. Maybe I'm too critical? Employees are short on responses, do not have an attitude of 'helpfulness' and 'whatever it takes' as I have usually found at Starbucks. They ran out and I had no choice but to order an ice coffee and cream. I can't just leave the drive thru line! I ordered.... waiting 10-15 mins. This was in the afternoon. Slow service. 2nd experience- I saw how busy it was so I went inside to order my bagel and a cold brew. I waited 15 mins. I finally asked if I can get a refund. DONT GO HERE Bought a strawberry açaí at 9:12pm, told the lady that give it to me in drive thru that it usually has a bit more color, she say's "maby because of the berries, would you like some more?" I said "yes". Got home and drank it, opened it to eat the strawberries as i usually do, I eat one and it tasted rotten. I try another one so then i spit it out, i dig all the way down and i find what you can see in the picture. I show my husband and he agreed they were rotten. Maps say they close at 10:30, google says 11pm, i got there at around 10:10pm. There closed, there was the lady that made it & a guy. They saw me try to open the door, and kept on counting the money. I nocked 3 times every time a bit more louder. I stopped knocking & he turns most likely to see if i left, i pointed to my drink so he comes. I told him the situation, he replied all nervous "the strawberries come packaged & sometimes they are very busy that they don't check them. & the scoop is big that they can't see if there's any bad strawberries, You can come back tomorrow & get it remade" i told him i wanted my money back. He said i would need to come back tomorrow when they opened. So i replied with an "ok thanks for your help" . He did not even apologize, he only gave me excuses. With this starbucks there are always issues, i have many friends that always go there and all of them are unsatisfied. I will be going back tomorrow for sure, i even left my drink in the fridge so it stays "FRESH" for tomorrow. read more
