Buyer beware! I purchased a puppy from Blue Sky Puppies April 2025 and was told she was an F2 Mini…read moreGoldendoodle. After a vet visit and DNA testing, I learned she is actually a mixed breed consisting of Poodle, Golden Retriever, and predominantly Cocker Spaniel. The DNA results also showed genetic findings associated with chondrodystrophy and increased IVDD risk, which was not disclosed at the time of sale. I contacted the company immediately and provided the DNA results, microchip information, and requested the correct paperwork and a resolution. They responded once asking whether I wanted to keep or return the puppy. I explained that we were keeping her and wanted to discuss updated documentation, compensation, or another fair resolution. After that, they stopped responding despite multiple follow-up emails. We love our dog, but I feel misled and very disappointed by the lack of transparency and customer service. When I contacted the warrant dept their email has the following disclosure: Our department is not permitted to make outbound calls or receive inbound calls. This is to maintain a 100% transcript of all of our communications and to avoid he said / she said type situations, to protect all parties. If you have any other questions or concerns, you can send them through email here.

Blue Sky Puppies is a complete scam and a nightmare for both the dogs and the families who bring…read morethem home. Pinellas County didn't revoke their license for nothing -- inspectors found sick puppies crammed into filthy cages, empty water bottles, and overcrowded, unsanitary conditions. FOX 13 reported that more than 170 puppies had to be removed from their Clearwater store, and they even failed to report over 70 puppy deaths properly. That's not an accident, that's cruelty. My own experience lined up with all of these red flags. They forced us to drive ridiculously far for the so-called "first vet visit," instead of letting us go to a trusted vet nearby. Then, before we even had time to settle in with our puppy, they pressured us to write a positive review right away. Who does that? A business that's desperate to cover up their shady practices, not one that actually cares about the animals or their customers. This place doesn't deserve your money, your trust, or even to be in business. They exploit puppies, lie to families, and gaslight anyone who calls them out. If you care at all about animals, stay far, far away from Blue Sky Puppies.

I had a new roof installed on my house this week (see my review for Joe Turner Roofing!)...I knew…read morefrom past experience that it is a very noisy process. I called my vet only to find out they no longer do boarding. But they recommended Happy Hounds. After checking out Happy Hounds online, I called and had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, Brian. He explained I needed to create an account online and once established, I could make a reservation for Molly (THE sweetest Yorkie ever!)..Brian further advised that the first visit is always free! Now that is a real tail-wagger lol. I also told Brian that Molly is a little shy around other dogs and he said he'd keep her up at the front counter with him. The next morning I woke up before sunrise to what sounded like giants stomping on my roof. Molly started a barking spree which I knew would not stop until my roof my done! So we headed to Happy Hounds on Beach Blvd. Brian and a very friendly dog greeted us. I could see and hear many dogs just having a great time in the open area. You have to smile when you see dogs running around like kids on a playground at recess! Brian reassured me he would keep Molly up front with him so she'd be close to a human. (I don't know if it's a Yorkie thing, but she likes to be near or on a person at all times!) I noticed that Happy Hounds is arranged in such a way that you don't need to worry about your precious pup escaping and exploring while there. The neat thing is, you can still see the dogs while they are kept safe. I picked Molly up around 1 PM and there she was, still safe behind the counter - happy, and hanging out with a shy Poodle. Happy Hounds entrance has fencing and a gate similar to what you see around swimming pools...the open metal bars and you have to push down on a knob for the gate the open/close. The gate automatically swings shut once you are inside. I was a little concerned about the location as it's right off of busy Beach Blvd. The fenced access is a great touch. When we were leaving, little Molly did slip through the bars and so she was outside while I was still inside the gate. But I had her on a leash, so everything was OK. Just wanted to mention this in case you have a 10 pounds or less pooch! Thank you Happy Hounds for taking such good care of Molly! You saved her (and me!) from what would have been an extremely stressful day.

I was gone for three days and got to watch them on the puppy cams and the whole time they seemed relaxed and happy... The people who work here deeply care for animals and certainly have a way with the dogs!
