I bought a Minature Schnoodle from Blue Sky Puppies. I love him very much and won't part with him. I found out that he came from a notorious puppy mill and either Blue Sky knew and didn't care or didn't do their research and now I have to worry about genetic illnesses. AJ's Angels Inc from Cushing, MN with over 1100 breeding dogs with deplorable conditions and have been fined several times by the USDA. If you paid more than $500.00 for one of these Puppies you paid too much. Research where the puppy comes from while you are in the shop. Buyer beware! I purchased a puppy from Blue Sky Puppies April 2025 and was told she was an F2 Mini Goldendoodle. After a vet visit and DNA testing, I learned she is actually a mixed breed consisting of Poodle, Golden Retriever, and predominantly Cocker Spaniel. The DNA results also showed genetic findings associated with chondrodystrophy and increased IVDD risk, which was not disclosed at the time of sale. I contacted the company immediately and provided the DNA results, microchip information, and requested the correct paperwork and a resolution. They responded once asking whether I wanted to keep or return the puppy. I explained that we were keeping her and wanted to discuss updated documentation, compensation, or another fair resolution. After that, they stopped responding despite multiple follow-up emails. We love our dog, but I feel misled and very disappointed by the lack of transparency and customer service. Pinellas County didn't revoke their license for nothing -- inspectors found sick puppies crammed into filthy cages, empty water bottles, and overcrowded, unsanitary conditions. FOX 13 reported that more than 170 puppies had to be removed from their Clearwater store, and they even failed to report over 70 puppy deaths properly. That's not an accident, that's cruelty. The place needs to have a cleaning overall because we purchased a 3 month old Havenese puppy who had bad pneumonia. At first the Warrenty portion of the business paid and then they decided to only cover a portion of the second claim. This business is absolutely disgusting. The cages they keep their puppies in are filled with poop and they stuff them to the brim with puppies that don't get along with each other. Bought a puppy that was SICK with GIARDIA PARASITES (extremely contagious so most likely its cage mates had it too). The puppy died after a couple of days so that goes to show that they left him UNTREATED or WEEKS if it was fatal. POTENTIAL SCAM I went to see some dogs I was just browsing options. I found a cute Pomeranian and asked about her price they said $3000. I forgot to ask about her age so when I got back home I decided to look at their website to see if I wanted the dog because my decision would be based on a few factors and age was one of them. I found the dog I saw the ONLY black furred Pomeranian there. On their website she was listed as $2,695. Unless they have a $305 tax or there a hidden fees that add up to $305 making the total $3000 that dog wasn't $3000. I looked at some websites and for a Pomeranian it is apparently $800 to $2000 but a championship blood line is $3500. I asked if the dog had a championship blood line and the lady said that they give them a pedigree that goes one generation back. She said that she is not sure if the dog had a championship blood line. For $3000!? They expect you to give them $3000 for a dog whose bloodline you don't know that well. I also met a Mini Dachshund and the lady said that the dog was also $3000 I looked at some websites and turns out Mini Dachshunds are not $3000. I attached images of the dog I held that I was told was $3000 and the dog's website listing. First we went in and picked a puppy but we couldn't take it home for two days because we were in vacation. She said she couldn't hold I was ok with that because my hotel didn't accept pets. TOTAL RIPOFF My issue is not with the employees at the facility, but rather the owners/directors. First off, they throw these forms at you and say sign here and here, not verbally explaining anything. You want the dog, you need to sign. Well shame on me for not seeing the "no returns policy". I get it, you want to make sure all sales are final. But we had a legitimate concern over the dogs safety, and attempted to work something out with them. The "manager" really has no authority at all, she just communicates with the owners/directors. We waited for 2 hours. We were willing to forfeit half of the money we had paid less than 24 hours before. Not only would they not budge, but the owner/director wouldn't even speak with me. They refused to even talk with me over the phone, they would only communicate through their "manager". That seems very cowardly. We ended up surrendering the puppy to them out of safety for him. What makes us sick is that we paid $3,000 for this puppy and got nothing in return. They are going to re-list the puppy, and someone else will pay for him again. We felt completely taken advantage of. We were extremely reasonable and willing to give up $1,500 of the money we paid. They are unwilling to help. Total ripoff. read more

Their puppies are from puppy mills. Yet they promise NO PUPPY MILLS! I took the puppy to their vet who failed to tell me the puppies issues on her first puppy visit. They told me that it was not their responsibility when asked later that I should have read the Health Certificate. While that is true and most consumers don't know what they are even looking at because it all looked like a prescription that I didn't have the knowledge to understand. But guess what, that vet prepared that Health Certificate. Her conditions should have been listed on paper with her first visit. They also signed me up with insurance knowing this puppy had pre-existing issues that they put on the Health Certificate. The puppy ended in the ER due to behavior issues that cause her to aggressively consume everything she sees and boom x-rays revealed that she will need an invasive hip replacement surgery. I then contacted the store who requested I contact the warranty dept. who requested that I take her back to their vet again. The vet did document for Florida Lemon law issues all the same ones that were on the Health Certificate. However, the store warranty dept. will not respond on resolving this issue. I will be filing in court as well as contacting USDA, Florida Governor Desantis, Attorney general Ashley Moody and insurance fraud on the vet. I just became an advocate against puppy mills. The staff we had on a Sunday night were difficult to understand and needed to be more specific on details, especially about the contract, but all seemed fine with the puppy. Our vet did find some worms and other issues, but all were minor and were taken care of. I suggest when adopting any puppy have a vet check it immediately for fixable issues. He was pooping his crate every single night with just diarrhea he was throwing up. Which I thought was crazy because we got him checked up by the VET THEY SENT US TOO right before our flight. And they say you get a health guarantee for one year but that's complete bullshit. We were in and out of vets for MONTHS!!!! Probably spent about 6-8GRAND OUT OF OUR OWN POCKETS. They sell you the dog as is. So anything wrong with him or her they make you sign a contact saying you're taking the dog as is with wha ever condition you purchase them for. Just recently we found out our dog has Autism and there's something wrong with his brain. He's over stimulated 24/7 he can't hold his bladder he's always been this way since he was a puppy and there's nothing unfortunately that we could do about it. The adoption process is very quick, I do suggest reading the fine print before giving a deposit and make sure you agree to it before you sign. At the moment our puppy is doing good and is healthy, you do have to schedule a appointment with a vet of their choosing in Tampa/Clearwater (for the visit to be covered) within two days of acquiring the dog, I just wish that they would have found some veterinarian that was a bit closer to where we live (Davenport). Other than this minor inconvenience, the service has been good, we received a call back on Saturday from the company asking how the dog was adjusting with us and if we had any concerns to contact them if needed. If they refuse to show you them walk away. If you can't afford what a responsible breeder costs because of the extra work they put into breeding their lines then adopt from a shelter or rescue. The golden was 15 pounds at 5 months old. I have "never" seen a 5 months old golden at this weight. To put this in perspective, can you imagine performing sterilization surgery on a child.
