Since December, I have had 3 small blocked bowels. I had to go to the hospital for 2 of the…read moreinstances. At my last visit to the hospital for a small blocked bowel, the attending surgeon told me he needed to see me in 10 days and that we needed to find out what keeps causing the problem. I googled him and read the Doctor's Yelp review, it was only 3 and a half stars. I'm sure he's a good Doctor, but I wanted a great and out of this world Doctor. So, I punched "small blocked bowel" into google; only one Doctor's name came up, Dr. Ghazanfari. Then I read his Yelp reviews; they were outstanding. I gave his office a call and the rest is history. He lived up to his reviews. When I showed up to his office, he had already studied my visits to the ER, and came up with a plan for me. I was to go to get a diagnostic laparoscopy. Before, I went for my laparoscopy on July 12th, Dr. Ghazanfari prepared me for the upcoming laparoscopy. He told me of the best that could happen (quick fix) or the worst outcome (tumor/taking out a section of intestine). Thankfully, it was an easy fix! I've learned that bedside manner is a good thing, but not always necessary. One of the most important things for a Doctor to have is genius or maybe intuition? I'm happy to say that Dr. Ghazanfari has both! Not only that, he has an excellent bedside manner! Sorry, I took so long. But, I'm a very sickly person with bizarre illnesses. I'm sure there are many like me out there. So I wanted to put a great, big, flashing arrow towards Dr. Ghazanfari if you have a small blocked bowel or any problem internally.

I want to be very precise here, because Dr. Ghazanfari deserves precision -- it's the one thing he…read moreclearly never extended to me. Three weeks after my hernia surgery, I have an open, actively draining wound at my incision site. I'm not describing a little redness or normal bruising. I mean an open wound. I contacted AzEliteSurgeons because I was concerned -- reasonably, I'd argue -- that something was wrong. Dr. Ghazanfari refused to see me. His recommendation, delivered without an in-person evaluation of a surgical wound he created: Neosporin. This is the same physician who, at my post-op follow-up, spent approximately five seconds looking at my healing site before declaring everything "fine" and moving on. Five seconds. I've waited longer for an elevator. I understand that surgeons are busy. I understand that not every concern warrants alarm. What I do not understand -- and what no patient should ever have to accept -- is a surgeon who operates, collects payment, and then considers his obligation discharged. A wound complication at three weeks post-op is not a pharmacy problem. It is a follow-up problem. It is *his* problem, and he chose to make it mine. If you are considering AzEliteSurgeons: the surgery may go fine. It's everything after that you should worry about. The moment you are no longer on the table, you are no longer a priority. I am now seeking care elsewhere for a wound that should have been addressed by the physician who caused it.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tahir Surgical Center in Mesa. I had an urgent and…read moreincredibly painful situation last Monday and initially called urgent care, who referred me here. I called Tahir Surgical Center last minute, not knowing what to expect, and was immediately welcomed by the most compassionate and understanding staff member. She truly listened, understood the pain I was in, and personally reached out to Dr. Tahir to see if I could be squeezed in. Despite it being a holiday week, being short-staffed, and already busy (as emergencies always seem to happen at the worst times), Dr. Tahir agreed to see me the very same day. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly, caring staff who made me feel comfortable and reassured. Dr. Tahir was kind, attentive, and efficient, and he promptly took me to the surgical room where I underwent an urgent procedure that, while unexpected, was absolutely necessary. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Tahir and his entire team for going above and beyond to care for me on such short notice. Their compassion, professionalism, and willingness to help during a stressful and painful time truly meant everything to me. I highly recommend Tahir Surgical Center to anyone in need of exceptional care.

Very next day had imaging. 3 days later I got my appendix taken out. I've now had a couple weeks to heal. Dr.Tahir is the first doctor in a long time to actually listen to me and have the urgency to help me. In addition, the rest of his staff is amazing. His medical assistants are so kind. I highly highly recommend. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
