FAILURE TO PERFORM is Navy Federal's activities byword. True, I don't have much money involved, BUT I expected better than being given bad information... and I expect sniggering at NFCU's Help Desk as some one(1) reads this message. Your experience rating system says "You're rolling now" but that's just a last snigger.... Hasta la vista, Babies!

If I can put negative 100 stars I would. First off- I purchased a 2007 Honda Civic back in summer…read moreof 2019. I was 18 and needed a car immediately for college and for work full time. At first it was exciting walking into JD Byrider. They are "nice" to manipulate you into a "good deal". Taking out a loan will build your credit and you get a car in the process, they suggested. I was 18. Using an 18 year old is very dirty. The car was initially worth about $4,000 in 2019 on other car websites and JD Byrider sold it to me for around $13,000 with the $400 a month car payments. Insane. But I was 18 and needed a car immediately. About a week into driving the car off the lot, the brakes started grinding terribly, it literally sounded like I was dragging something under the car and I was scared to death when I had to push down very hard (multiple times) on the brake to get the car to fully stop. I took the car into JD Byrider to get "inspected" by the mechanic -JASON- at the time in 2019. -Turns out JASON was "let go" for being a faulty mechanic a few months later. I was already very sketched out, because not even having my car for a full month the brakes had failed. I took my car to other shops in the Charleston area to get a real inspection and both mechanics said if I contiued driving it, the brakes would fail and I would get very hurt. They also said no way JD Byrider did not know about the brake issue and should have mentioned it in there inspection before I purchased it. JD byrider refused to fix it and I payed for new brakes out of my own pocket. I am sure that breaks some laws? They sold me a lemon car. The AC and Heat stopped working 2 months later and they refused to fix it, leading me to pay for it out of pocket. The entire ceiling fabric also fell down the entire back a month after owning it- they put bandaid fixes on stuff and then scam innocent people who JUST NEED A CAR. Just take a look at there reviews on google. Also look them up in all the states. Universal reviews say the same thing. Many lawsuits in the northern states along with the closing of the Augusta, GA branch. They are unreliable. Brilliant con artists. The owner is very cocky and rude, as well at the one here in Charleston. I could have died in my car with my brakes not working properly and his response and I QUOTE was "well that was a year ago" (the Charleston owner back in 2019- not sure if he still owns it)- this was an IN PERSON conversation with my mother present, as a witness. That doesn't matter to them though, someone can get really hurt in a lemon car. Don't sell a car off the lot if it is not properly checked out by A REAL MECHANIC - one would think lol. The mechanic Jason (old one who was let go) was let go due to not being a good mechanic. Charleston JD Byriders words as well (in person conversation). I gave my car up willingly in June of 2020 (I could no longer cover repair costs that kept building up) and was threatened by them that I would be sued for the left over money I owed - OF COURSE THEY DROPPED IT AND DECIDED TO MESS UP MY CREDIT SEVERELY INSTEAD TO 540 AND I FINALLY HAVE IT ABOVE 700 IN 2025! This place is a joke. Do not go to ANY Jd Byrider. Some of the people there are really nice and pleasant but then there are the select few who are rude jerks. Please, please, please do your research. Take it from me, who was in dire need of a car and desperate to get one at any price, as long as I had monthly payments - it was all good, until it was not. Do not go to them because you are desperate like I was. I needed a car to get to A and B. But a year later with them just added on a bunch of financial and emotional distress. I was a college kid for Christ's sake. They messed with me and many others throughout the city, state and country wide. We need to team up and settle this and make them feel the wrath we felt and delt with. Feel free to email me at donatelloroyal@aol.com to discuss getting a group together for a class action lawsuit.
