I cannot speak highly enough about Azaz Tailoring. I brought in my maid of honor dress for my sister's wedding to be hemmed and have cups and straps added and they had it done in a single day. I even had to order the cups from Amazon on the day I brought it in and they weren't shipped until late in the afternoon the next day, but once they arrived and I took them in they were able to have the cups added in literally 15 minutes. I hadn't used a tailor in this area before but I'm glad I found I found Azaz and his wife. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress 3 weeks ago to get hemmed and also be taken out a bit. When I came for the first trial, I also brought an Indian outfit that needed a lot of work- sleeves too long, hem too long with a cancan. The hemming on that dress wasn't as simple as the other dress as there was a border that would need to be removed, dress shortened and then put back on. I got that dress back in 2 weeks- ahead of when I would need it. They had forgotten to tighten the sleeves but did it right before me. Overall, really great work and turned around in a really timely fashion. I will return here for additional work. read more

Awful job on the chair cushions we asked them to recover. They did not follow the pattern set by the three sets of cushion covers that were underneath the chair cushions. I spent $99 dollars on the upholstery fabric. And they needed only 2 yards really, but because of the lack of thought that went into the first rendition, Azaz ate through all three yards. The fuss they make when you say it is wrong is not reflective of good customer service. My only thoughts about this exchange with them is- if you want something specifically done, then don't come to this upholsterer/tailor. read more

Rrefurbish is more expensive but infinitely better work. I made it clear upon speaking to Azaz (owner and tailor) that I wanted him to keep the hem on the jeans I brought him. He told me he would call when he was done... no call. Anyway, I walk in and they're ready. Great. Until they show me the seam. Not original. Now I'm stressing because I made it clear I needed these jeans for an event later tonight. After telling me that I never told him I wanted the original hem, we got into an argument and he agreed to do fix it while I waited. I wait and wouldn't you know it, he does a shoddy job on this brand new $200 pair of jeans. I asked him if it's possible to fix it and I was told "no because of the material." So I pressed him on what the material has to do with it. He conceded that it has nothing to do with the material but told me it was his "style." Interesting style, Azaz. 2 stars because I have think the jeans can be salvaged. I'll update if they can't be. read more

First time I went, he forgot to hem my son's pants, so I had to bring them back. Second time I went - almost a year later - he gave me the wrong blazer. My son wore this oversized garment to his confirmation, then, as soon as we got home from the church, the tailor calls me to hurry and bring back the blazer RIGHT NOW because the guy who owns the jacket is waiting! Never mind that he gave me the wrong jacket to begin with - no apologies for that - the most important thing was not to upset another customer. He is very nice, but, in my experience, not all that reliable. It would have been nice if he had called and apologized for the mix up and offered to refund me the cost, rather than frantically demand that I drop everything and run down in my car immediately to appease the other guy. Bummer, because they are nice and reasonable and convenient, but so far have not been so great with customer service. read more

A friend of mine recommended me to Azaz Tailoring since the word on the street is that he can make and repair beautiful clothes. When you walk into the shop, there is furniture and upholstery and other home products everywhere. Although it's in a bit of a disarray I happen to think this is part of Azaz and his wife's genius. I asked Azaz to alter my wedding dress which included making the width smaller, shorten the length and to make a 6 point french bustle. I was not disappointed. On top of that, I asked him to also make me a veil. The results were fantastic and I have to say his prices are more than fair. In fact, I paid about 60% LESS than what my other girlfriends paid for their dresses elsewhere at bridal stores. I will be going back here for all my future alterations! read more

The owner was very nice, was able to get the hemming done within a few hours and at a reasonable price- on a Sunday no less even though he was really busy. I was a little nervous when I first walked in and saw a bunch of furniture scattered around with wedding dresses and clothes just thrown on them. I brought an old suit to get tailored. Waist let out, pant legs shortened, and sleeves lengthened. Again I became nervous when the man only measured one leg and one arm. I asked for no break in the pants and 1/4 of an inch of shirt cuff showing on the sleeve. When I picked up the suit there was a clear break in the pant and he just let out the sleeve as much as he could making the length colicky long. These are simple alterations. There was a small hole in the suit that he told me wasn't worth fixing, I agreed. But when I picked up the suit he told me he fixes it and that he charged me extra for it. Are you kidding me! You tell me that you're not going to fix it and then you have the nerve to just go ahead and fix it without telling me, you had my number. And you spring a surprise charge on me for work I didn't ask for. Also the suit was dirtier than when I dropped it off, probably from lying on that dusty furniture. Very unprofessional, a dry cleaning place could do a better job at half the cost. I suspect few customers will be returning considering there is a one star rating. I still believe the work was poor. This is a review for the waist adjustment to the pants of my tuxedo back in 2014. Yes, it has been awhile, but now I'm ready to wear the tux again and remember the negative experience at this tailor. I wore the tailored pants with the poor work because I didn't have time to get them revised. I now have to get the work redone as I plan to wear the tux again. As per a previous reviewer, it's true that the place stinks like cigarette smoke. I'm not sure that the smoking is done inside the shop, but it reeks nonetheless. Yes, your clothes will stink! As I review the work done, here are the glaring problems: 1. The thread color did not match. Why would someone use white thread on a black tux? 2. The seams are not straight. 3. The area that was opened up was not cleaned as old stitches still remain. 4. There is a pull in the fabric where the waist opened up. Finally, when I tried the pants on, they clearly were too tight and needed further opening. The tailor told me they look fine. I couldn't even move in them! He fixed the problem, but didn't seem too happy about it. Do yourself a favor and find another tailor. read more

I was in a bind on a Sunday and was flying out to LA the next morning. I needed a high end pair of Jeans hemmed same day, while I waited ($20- fair). I ran to Kings to grab groceries. Came back. The work looked neat and I walked out. When I saw in daylight- he put in the cheapest white thread he had. It did not match the thread on the pants to any degree. I walked back inside. It took about 5 minutes of arguing, but he fixed it with the right thread off the wall. I was willing to deal with the cigarette odor and lack of tailor standing platform. AZAZ tailor saved my wedding day!! My wedding was on Saturday, June 6 and on Wednesday, June 3 I called them freaking out because my original tailor seriously messed up my gown. She barely took it in, lost some buttons...you name it. I went to AZAZ three days before my wedding and they just calmed me down. They are true professionals. They worked their butts off and had my dress ready for me on Thursday!! They fixed all of the other tailor's mistakes and my dress fit like a glove. I could not believe it. I had purchased my dream wedding gown (had been discontinued and was impossible to find) and the company sold me the wrong size. Azaz was able to take what was a very complicated gown (both in fabric and construction) and make it so that I could step into it. My only wish was that I had the top of the gown fitted better but that was my fault because I was moving between two states and couldn't get to the shop enough for that to happen. I was promised the gown would be ok and would fit. The train was removed, as I asked, the intricate beading was repaired, tears were repaired, and I got many compliments on the gown. I like this place-the owners are very friendly and were able to hem my dress quickly. My only complaint is the strong cigarette smoke odor in the shop. It's a HUGE turnoff. My dress smells like it, as does the coat that I wore in the shop. read more
