Be Careful! Do not leave anything of value! I brought my drapery panels to be dry cleaned. They were inspected and I was text a price to clean them. Upon pick up, the banding on the panels was ruined. I immediately brought it to their attention. A woman, who I assume was the owner, came over and spoke to me very rudely, insisting that the drapes were not of good quality and that I would have to pay to have them repaired. It should not matter where the drapes were purchased. They were inspected and entrusted to their professional care. Any damage should have been cared for by them and I should have been treated in a respectful and courteous manner as a customer. Terrible experience. read more

I live in midtown manhattan and come here for my dry cleaning particular for my nicer pieces and shirts - they are the real deal. I swear my clothes are cleaner and look almost new when they come back from Moline Kronberg. I may move to Montclair because of this place!!! I'm seriously obsessed. The owners are on premises. They lost my $300 silk interview shirt!! All dry cleaners that I have gone to in the past always give you an itemized, descriptive list of items when you drop off clothes. Not these guys! If you're lucky you'll get a little piece of paper that says how many things you dropped off, but not what each of them is. Last time I went I dropped off a comforter and several silk garments, but I didn't even get a ticket confirming the number of items I was dropping off. Sure enough, when I picked it all up, my blue silk interview shirt that I had bought at Theory only a few months ago was missing. That's $300 lost, and I can't even get another one, because Theory doesn't sell it anymore. I am never bringing clothes to this dry cleaner again! I tried stopping by in person to speak to the owners/managers about this, and I left my number, but it has been two weeks and they haven't called me back. They really did a great job in explaining inspecting the dress before taking it in. We were in no rush to get it back but they it was preserved in a timely manner. The price was very fair since they are licensed to do type of work. They also provided the dress with museum quality box. The owner who does the cleaning and preservation told us how to remove the dress. And if we needed help putting it back they will gladly do it if we brought it in. The attention to detail and service is what I'm not used to many places. I would highly recommend coming here for speciality cleaning here. We have a family heirloom antique Christening gown that belong to my grandmother. My dad was christened in 1911. Almost all of the family was christened in the gown. I took it out to have our newest baby christened. I was horrified to see dark stains around the neck and front of christening gown. I have been going to this cleaner since I moved to Montclair about a year ago. They have done beautiful tailoring for dresses, and have done thorough cleaning of my clothes. However, I write this review as a business owner myself after an extremely unfortunate experience happened today. Two weeks ago I dropped off an assortment of clothes to be dry cleaned-one being a beautiful silk skirt that I bought on a recent trip to Paris-very sentimental and not something I would normally buy myself. A week ago my husband went to pick up our clothes and was told that the skirt needed to be cleaned again due to a stubborn stain. He was told that we would get a call when it was ready to be picked up. This week goes by and I never received a call which was a bit weird to me. This morning I went to pick up my skirt and was met with nervous looks from the employees, with finally someone asking me if I can go to the back so they can speak with me. I was told that they accidentally gave my skirt to another customer(they don't know which one), and that they would refund me for the cost of the skirt(but no apology). I asked if it was possible if they could buy me a new one while I was at the store, and the employee agreed. I was extremely upset not knowing if the skirt would even still be available or ship to the states. Thankfully, there was 3 left in stock in my size and it was able to ship to the states- great problem solved. That is until the manager got involved with payment. She offered instead of buying me the skirt - if I could wait another 2 weeks to see if the customer(again they don't even know which one they gave it to) would return the skirt. That would mean I would have to wait a month total to see if I may or may not get my skirt back. I refused and asked if she can order me a new skirt. She wrote me a check(praying it doesn't bounce), was completely unapologetic about the situation, and was rude throughout the whole process. As I was leaving I asked if my original skirt does end up getting returned if they can give me a call. The manager then said I could give the check back(after she saw me place the order for the replacement), and wait the two weeks like she had suggested. Again I declined, because I had told her multiple times before that I needed the skirt for an event I had coming up. She said well I already paid you for the skirt- you can't have two skirts. Excuse me? Not only should you offer to replace my skirt, but I should absolutely have my original skirt returned to me that they lost. It's her fault, not mine. She said off hand they she would give me a call, but after that interaction I was not left with a lot of confidence. It is extremely unfortunate the way that this situation was handled because I would have kept giving my business if there was a kinder, more professional way of handling their mistake. I am a reasonable person. Mistakes happen, it's how they are handled afterwards that make the difference especially when you are running a business. read more

Excellent service and amazing staff and owners. No one I would trust more with my grandmother's wedding dress. Not only did they bring the material back to life, but their extremely skilled seamstresses were able to make alterations for it to fit a taller and wider body than my grandmother had. The material was a heavy silk/satin, and every change can show so easily, as it's not a forgiving material. I don't know how they did it, but it looks better than it did the day she wore it! Very disappointed with my most recent experience at this place. I've had several pieces dry cleaned and/or tailored by these women, and usually I am happy with their work. This time, I paid to have pants tailored that were too big on me, only to find out after I picked them up that they were still huge on me. I specifically had these pants tailored for a vacation I am going on tomorrow. The lady (seems like the owner) basically said they already worked on them and there was nothing they could do about it. I took in a dress to get the zipper repaired. Paid $50. Over priced. Returned back to the store 10 days later(receipt said it would be ready in 7 days) to pick my dress up and it was not ready, wasn't even worked on yet! I needed it that day for a wedding, which they knew. They didn't even try and compensate me for their MISTAKE. They said they could have it done in one hour. I walked out and decided to wear something else. When i returned back a week later. It was ready, but was a botched job. They took the zipper out, sewed up the bottom of the dress added a new zipper. I went to M.K. with my great aunt's 75 year old wedding gown for restoration and alteration. A tall order that I wasn't sure could happen given the yellowing and frail, old fabric. Happily, they did an AMAZING job! Restoration: Vintage dress entirely restored to a brilliant white. Patricia does a test restoration on a small but if fabric first to ensure it will hold up to the process. Alteration: Amazing x 2. I tried on the dress and veil, and they predicted my requests before they said them. Sleeves removed, hem redone, neckline adjusted, buttons tightened up, veil shortened. All done beautifully. We had an initial consultation, two fittings, and a final pick up - all delivered in a sturdy garment bag. All three ladies (Patricia, Andrea, and Carmen) were committed to perfection, even redoing the hem they'd put in when we realized it was uneven front to back (hey, this girl's got a backside to accommodate!) It's a good idea to go in with an idea of what you want, though Patricia and Carmen will make recommendations on what can work for you and your gown. They take pictures for you, though they emailed them over a few weeks later each time. I'm sure you can find less expensive businesses, but the quality here is of the utmost. I have been going to this dry cleaner for the last 7 years. Before moving to Montclair, I had an excellent dry cleaner. However, I think Moline may be the best dry cleaner I have ever dealt with. Although Moline Kronberg is a little pricey, they never let me down. Recently, I brought my christening outfit which is 47 years old. The dress had a tear down the back and under the arm . The lining of the coat contain a dark brown stain the size of a half dollar that has been there since I was a child. The outfit has never been professional dry cleaned and has been stored in a plastic bag in my attic. I took it to Moline because I knew they could fix the rips but I thought for sure I would need to replace the lining. To my surprise and delight, they were able to get the stain out!
