My husband and our son had been going to Grace for years, I didn't until recently. My brother passed away and tradition dictated that I need to wear black, though after retired for 12+ years, I couldn't find anything that fits me. Ran out and pick up a couple of black pants but discovered my sewing machine doesn't work so hubby suggested I bring it down to Grace. Grace has been a part of Montclair for over 10 years. That's 10 years of great, consistent work from a very sweet lady that ensures her customers are taken care of. I've never ran into a problem during my 6 years going into this cleaners. My clothes come out great -- no wrinkles, no stains. The prices are very reasonable compared with the other cleaners in town. It's also very conveniently located in the Walnut part of town. In my opinion, one of the best cleaners in the area. Overall I'm extremely happy with the wash and fold results. read more

I used to live a lot closer to this cleaners and always had an amazing experience. Grace is such a kind lady who really cares about her customer service. I recently moved to the other end of town and STILL make my way over to Grace instead of the cleaners right next door to me. All my clothes are perfectly clean ALWAYS, she does great work. I wanted to like this cleaners as they are very conveniently located for me, but two of my fiance's shirts tore right after they were cleaned here. I don't know what they processed them with, but they were not old shirts. Another shirt returned with a huge hole torn in the collar. read more

I have always been pleased with the friendly, professional service at this cleaners. I usually get my blazers and suits cleaned, as that's difficult for me to do in an apartment setting, and have always found them well-pressed and carefully hung when I pick them up, with no complaints at all. I don't particularly care for this cleaners. My shirts aren't always hung on the hanger well, which leaves wrinkles. They don't usually button more than just the collar button, which leaves the rest of the shirt hanging open, also leading to more wrinkles. I tried to get pants hemmed once and asked what would happen if it wasn't done right and she intimated that we'd get one shot, leading me to believe that if it wasn't right, too bad. They're also not particularly friendly. There are so many other options, even in walking distance of this place. I'll stick with those. read more

I had been a client at this cleaners for the past six months, taking my shirts and suits there multiple times a week to be cleaned and everything was ok up until today. I had taken a pair of pants there to fix a rip which had developed having sat down too fast once and the pocket gettign stuck on an armrest. I gave them the pants and they had them fixed. I went to put the pants on and after about 5 minutes of just wearing them, the threads she had put in, started to rip and tear, leaving me right where i was when i started. My wife goes back there to tell her about what happened and that she expected that this would be a free fix now as we had already paid and they did not complete the job. The owner proceeded to yell and scream at my wife telling her that she had already fixed them and we were trying to cheat her and that we were lying. She even threatened to call the police on my wife who just wanted to get what she had paid for. After frequenting this establishment so many times, I was shocked to hear that this is how they treat loyal customers. There are 2 other dry cleaners within one block of this establishment, we will be using them from now on. Stay away. read more
