Since having gone to other places I see that is standard pricing. Here's the thing: another tailor quoted me lower on the phone and then raised their prices upon my arrival. Hipolito is awesome at what he does. I brought a pair of pants to be taken it from the sides as well as hemmed to better suite my petite stature. He did a great job. Sad to say that this place is pricey. I paid $95 for this and my pants went over the expected eta by a week. Not mad at that; I DID tell him that I was in no rush. However, I made three trips only to find out each time that my pants weren't ready. A call to communicate this would have been a nice service. Refurbish Fashion is an extremely over priced tailor where other small businesses can do the same work and then some, while listening to the comments and concerns you may have, for 1/3 of the price. I had my bridesmaid's dress done here and spent more than what I paid for the dress itself to get it fixed. Not many changes were done to it but it is extremely tight in certain areas where I had made comments about it to the owner. The man assured me it would be ok yet I still thought it was very uncomfortable. I even took drastic measures to lose weight for this dress while it was being fixed and it still ended up being too tight in certain areas. I had lost 6 pounds for this dress to not be tight on me since the owner thought his option was best instead of listening to his customer's concern. Also the bottom is uneven and is a lot longer than when I was measured. I had worn shoes that were a slightly smaller heel than the bridesmaid shoes when I got measured yet it is still ended up to be too long. (The bridesmaid shoe is 1/2 inch taller than the heel I was measured in) Extremely unhappy with the customer service. When I told the owner how the other girls in the wedding paid 1/3 of what I paid and some even got more things added, he told me "no" (as if he had spoken to people he has never met before and talked to them about what they paid/got done) and suggested a cheaper alternative. There was never an alternative mentioned before before I let him handle my dress. This is my first wedding and I was the first to get the dress done. Had I known that paying $225 to get a few alterations done (that weren't even near perfect) was over priced for having it tailored I would have never gone here. I paid $180 for the dress itself and was taken advantage of when it came to tailoring my dress. I was never called when my dress was finished and had to call the place to check the status of my dress. Completely unprofessional. If you're looking for a place that will over charge when your local small business can do it for a fraction of the price, not listen to your concerns or comments about the alterations, and lacks valuing their customers then please choose Refurbish Fashion as the tailor for you! read more

I'm very happy with the tailoring recently done on my bridesmaid dress. It needed a lot of work because I think the bridal shop ordered a size up. He helped take it in, replace the zipper, hem it and hem the draping pieces of the dress. He also stitched the top when I pointed out that the metal ribbing was hurting me when I came to pick it up. My only complaints are the cost (I'm not sure if it was more or less than other places) and it would have been nice if it was pressed as well when I picked it up.
