I will start by saying we have a large glass inlay on our front door with a black and silver sign…read moreadhered to the metal of the glass section that states, "No Soliciting Do Not Ring Doorbell." Additionally, 10 ft further toward the driveway, we have an 18" yardsign in the planter area adjacent to the concrete walkway that states, "No Trespassing, No Soliciting." Needless to say, the doorbell was rung by the Infinite representative. The grand daughter was woken up and my wife beat me to the door. As I arrived at the door I could see the rep. had just handed her a business card which I took and asked what this was about and she replied he's with a roofing company. We just had a minor hail storm in the area and suddenly the area is crawling with roofers wanting to perform free estimates. I asked the rep. if he had seen the sign on the door (you simply cannot miss it) and his response was "sir I'm just here to educate you." I responded "I don't need an education, and he just stared without responding. Then I told him he could leave and he started to say something else - I cut him off and said "Now." He casually sauntered off, no apology or anything. I called the Police department and when the officer arrived I provided the card and gave the officer my testimony. I let the officer know that when he made contact to be sure and let the business know I will press charges for trespassing if it happens again. These guys have no class/manners and I wouldn't trust them with an estimate or your roof. Our southern pine fence barely had divits in the 2x4 top rail (only small specks of stain removed) from the hail. There's no way on a 8:12 pitch roof that the same hail could have gone through a new new Class IV shingle or cracked it, let along breach the building paper under it. These guys are looking to get on your roof post storm and drum up some work.

This is the most ridiculous business practice I've ever seen. These people are borderline harassing and this is no way to get business. Next time these people come, I will be calling the police. To add... I have all their faces on my cameras!

Solar as an industry needs to mature. Too much profit chasing and not enough service for the cost…read more I wanted to believe that Longhorn Solar was different but kept running into problems. Planning and communication needs work. I never knew when the work was to be done until the night before. The wrong parts or lack of parts on the first install date was a bad sign. Then the second install date and still not able to operate on solar until 2 weeks later - yet they want their payment right away. The worst was when I lost power to the house after the transfer box was installed. This was on a Friday afternoon. I called to ask for help but had to send an email for support. Support said it wasn't their issue, but it was, a bad breaker. I had to find and pay for my own electrician to fix it. I was reimbursed but that didn't excuse the lack of support. The 24-hour support team finally responded back to me 5 days later after I sent the video of the bad breaker arcing. I could go on but I think you get the idea. There are some good people there but as a company, it's just not the quality and service expected for the price paid. Value is directly related to the price vs quality mentioned.

I STRONGLY ADVISE NOT CONTRACTING WITH LONGHORN SOLAR…read more I had Longhorn install solar panels on flat roof. Mechanically sound but resulted in recurrent roof leaks for a year. I finally had my solar panels removed and roof replaced due to hail damage. This was a commercial roofer that has experience with flat roof. Solar panels reinstalled correctly but cost $7000 out of my pocket.
