Our server was absentminded, didn't check in on our table after serving us, and wasn't knowledgeable about the menu items or offered to check. She stuck her finger into my cocktail as it was served from the bar. No complimentary chips and salsa here! The food tasted good (queso dip, beef tacos, nachos azul) but the queso and beef tacos were overpriced for what we received. The taco salad was a large portion. Jen is not very customer friendly, walked away when customers were still in front of her came back and didn't say anything to guest and grabbed her phone and looked the phone and walked away. Went up after an hour to the hostess and she would talk to us for a second say a few minutes then talk to someone else, and stop responding or answering our questions on why we were still waiting. Not dirty like the dishwasher missed something, dirty like right out of the bus boys tray. came back one time 30 minutes later. We told the waiter, the host, the hostesses and that was all we ever heard " I'm sorry, thanks for coming." we were ignored and mistreated at every turn. Came here for dinner. Upon entering Azul we were pleasantly pleased by the decor and ambiance. Despite being looked over by the hostess we decided to stay and give Azul a try. Man what a right choice. After being seated we were greeted by our server Juan Carlos. Juan was on point, very attentive and a killer attitude. ( instantly made up for our encounter with the hostess ). Our choice of appetizer was the chips with queso and we added the chorizo, freaking amazing!! My wife had the meat quesadilla which she loved. I had the ribeye with the chimichurri. By mistake Juan brought me the grits with queso and let me tell you, my wife does not eat grits, until she tried these grits with queso. I was lucky to get a few licks in before she devoured the bowl. The manager Devin came by the table to check on us and my wife asked him a question about a certain skull glass. Well we ended up ordering a margarita and buying a skull glass. Devin also gave us a bit of history on Azul and Junction 35 which is also in the plaza and is same owner. We almost spend more at Junction 35 (in moonshine). Devin and Juan Carlos made our experience at AZUL an awesome one. Great food, great staff !!! We ate lunch on a Monday. Since we travel with a dog we ate outside. We have their cheese dip as an appetizer. We split an order of Texas fajitas. The steak, chicken and shrimp we all good with a nod to the steak. Plenty of flavor and moist. Only minor disappointment was the house frozen margarita... just not much flavor. Maybe just a thimble full more tequila? The place is very upscale with a huge bar. We will stop by again the next time we pass through Pigeon Forge. read more

We went on a Friday night and there was an hour wait... no big deal. They have the coolest outdoor pavilion area to wait and they text you when you're ready. The server Nycole was nice and expedient for the amount of people they had in the restaurant. The food.... the chip and salsa were great. The food had a good flavor and just enough spice BUT mine came out cold. Not luke warm, cold. My daughter's food was warm all except the rice. I sent it back and watched him take it off my plate and put it in the grill. They brought it back with the outside warm and the inside cold. (I had ordered the California burrito). I don't ever send anything back twice so I boxed it up to microwave in the hotel. For a $20 burrito, that was the only hang up. Had a little hard time understanding our server; he spoke fast and the background music is pretty loud. We order Chips & Salsa Flight ($5). Came with 3 different dips: red salsa, green salsa, and white cream sauce. Tortilla chips were good/fresh. Not bad for $5; I think we would order it again. I ordered the Fajita Quesadilla ($12) with added skirt steak ($6). It came with refried beans and rice. I wish the server asked if I wanted charro beans or refried beans. I wouldn't order the quesadilla again. The presentation was nice but the cheese wasn't melted and I didn't notice any grilled seasonal vegetables. Husband ordered Birria Burrito ($16). He ate it all but said he won't order it again. Our friend ordered Steak Al Carbon Fajita ($21). It had a huge pile of grilled onions and only a few pieces of steak fajitas. The order also came with tortillas, rice, refried beans, shredded cheese, guac, sour cream, lettuce. Grabbed late lunch here while doing some shopping on vacation. This place stood out in the plaza and had good Yelp reviews. Immediately I noticed all the beautiful artwork. The seating concept was kind of open which was different. I ordered Arroz con Polllo. It came out very hot and fresh. I enjoyed that! Plus I ordered the samba & spice. This was a cold adult drink with burst of tropical banana flavor. Loved it. Or sever was nice but could've been a little more attentive.
