    Seafood tostado app
    Kathy L.

One of our favorite restaurants in Pigeon Forge that was filled with surprises. Started with a gazpacho amuse from the chef and ended with green apple cotton candy surprise for the whole table. My kids loved it! Drinks were delicious, we particularly loved the trio of salsa and guacamole, yuca fries. Queso, birria and seafood tostado. My son loved his chicken taco with everything on the side. The restaurant is quiet (I don't think most people have discovered it yet) but don't let that stop you from making a reservation because the food and service really delivered

    Brûlée grapefruit with marscapone
    Chris C.

The food here was really good. We went for breakfast since it was included in our hotel stay. I got a brulee grapefruit which was really yummy and my partner got an avocado toast. It's a super cute place. The service was friendly. But here's the thing. We got a grapefruit, and avocado toast for breakfast and we were in the restaurant for an hour and a half! It was just way too slow. And it would've taken longer, but we sat at the bar so we wouldn't have to wait for a seat. Love the idea but it was frustrating for it to take so long when we had other places we wanted to be.

    Gross coffee

The coffee was gross, we didn't even get our food before we walked out. They are not allergy friendly. The only gluten free, dairy free thing they had was the oatmeal and they were al out of oatmeal. The tables were wet, the menus were covered in food, the salt and pepper holders were covered in food splatters. The server was timid and nice. The manager was a little rude, and the barista with nappy hair seemed high. The place was really cute so it's a real shame they aren't good.

    Blueberry pancakes

Stayed at the hotel for New Years with some friends, so we decided to utilize our breakfast vouchers. It's took around 30 min to be seated, another 20 to be waited on. Some orders were messed up. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and they were delicious.

    Elotes

The Elotes were outstanding along with the shrimp Nachos. Also had the Benedict and avocado toast during our time. Everything I ate was delicious! Both bartenders were amazing, friendly, and made wonderful drinks for us! My favorite was the grilled peach bourbon drink. This is a place where anything you choose will be good!

And then I looked again, hoping that maybe something low-calorie or nutrient-dense was hiding and I just needed to look harder. Nope. But if you're looking for a sandwich that consists of chicken tenders between two glazed donuts, then this is your place. Sawyer's has other things that are not so county-fair forward. They are known for breakfast: French toast, pancakes, omelettes. If you get pancakes or waffles or the like, you should definitely ask for their house-made peanut butter syrup. It's amazing and so unlike anything that I've ever tasted. I got an omelette, which was good and had a lot of stuff in it. They will give you hot sauce upon request, which I was grateful for because I thought the omelette needed it. One thing that's really cool about Sawyer's is that they seem to take food allergies very seriously. That's always nice to see! As you're entering or exiting, make sure to admire the decor. It looks like you're in a barn, and as you exit, there's a gift shop with stuffed animals, t-shirts and other things to commemorate your visit to Sawyer's. This is a fun little place that's great for families, for sure.

I ordered the traditional schnitzel (pork cutlet that was pounded thin). It was not breaded, but it was coated with egg and flour and prepared well. I had the German potato salad and red cabbage side orders. Both were served warm as is custom. I was a bit upset that the waiter gave me the bill when the meal was finished. I told him it was my birthday and that I had wanted coffee and cake. He took the bill and crumpled it in his hand. The portion of cake that he presented could have easily served three! I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge). Prices were reasonable, food was served at the correct temperature, portions were prodigious. The venue was also immaculate. I would recommend this tavern to anyone who appreciates German fare.

They serve 3 different main dishes daily. You get what they serve.....no additional options are available. Today (Tuesday) was Salisbury steak, fried fish and fried chicken. They chicken was good, Salisbury steak a little overcooked and dry and the fish was decent. Unfortunately, I came with a large party and I was the only one who are the fish. For the 4 side dishes, we ordered the chicken and dumplings, mac & cheese, hush puppies and mashed potatoes. The sides were actually better than the mains. The ambulance is very casual and it's a family friendly atmosphere. Restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter, Kyle, was very patient and an excellent server. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the main courses but the sides made up for them somewhat. I would say the food was 2 - 2.5 stars but the staff was 5 stars. So I'll have to go with a 3.5 star total review.
