Coming to Gatlinburg since 2012 for winter vacation & always experience great memories on every place that we visit but not this time. Our party decide to go for dinner & good time to Dicks Last Resort & mentally we was ready to have fun with the concept that this place offers. This is not the case here, food was not bad, just average sport bar food nothing special but the vibe was not there with the staff n general. Our server was not so funny at all, she screws up my order cause I order chicken wings & they brought to the table tenders & gave our order to another person in our party. On top of that no refills for my wife soda, don't ask if I want another beer & same thing with the rest of our party. Means that my ticket possible will be higher if she really was on top of her game. Sorry, but experiences sometimes are better than your menu ice cream is not the best one. Caitlin our server get mad after I pointed that she mess up my order & use the receipt to vent her frustration, very mature. We went the other day with a smaller party to the location at the Island indefinitely service weather was 10 times better. There was some kind of spill on the floor. It was gross and sticky and that's where our party of six was placed. They covered it with paper towels and cam back to pick it up. Then the first guy came and put more paper towels down. A mop would have been less costly and more efficient. The food was good and the music was great. I mainly came here for the fun of getting roasted and to see what all the hype was about. Our waiter was definitely the highlight -- funny, sweet, and made the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food was pretty basic and honestly a bit disappointing. The drink I ordered tasted more like Red Bull than anything else -- barely any liquor. If you plan to visit, I'd suggest going for the appetizers and the entertaining service rather than the full meal. If you're looking for a good laugh & good food, Dick's is the place to go. The service was terrible, in a good way! The restaurant was clean & provided a lot of seating for guest. The ribs were pretty good but those mashed potatoes really stole my heart. The black and blue burger was delicious and filling. Hilarious dinner experience love taking my family here when we visit ! Staff is funny and my kids love it

It was the best, we had Jordan and he did exactly what we went for, Sarcastic, Rude in a funny way, and a Smart arse. It was so funny and the hats made it amazing, it's exactly what it says it is. I loved the service in my opinion it was perfect and it hit all the points on the board. But there isn't to many food options. Some seafood options and salads, along with burgers and chicken. They have more drinks than they have food, so if you're looking for a wide variety there's better choices. But the food was really good, and they did have a decent variety of appetizers. Which were also amazing I'll definitely be going back as soon as I'm in the area again. And we didn't have a wait time, we also went on a a Sunday so that could be why. read more

Our family had an awesome time at this place. Our server was Jalyn S, and despite her best efforts at being a jerk, it was truly a wonderful time. We had our two kids with us, unsure if we should bring them in, as well as my brother, father in law, and my wife. To be able to pick on people without going too far, to entertain the children with just the right amount of snark, and keep the atmosphere friendly and hilarious - Jayln put on a master craft workshop. We saw bears in the smokies, went up the space needle, saw the Dolly Parton Stampede, and my kids are still talking about that dinner at Dicks and our server Jayln. The food was great, and the atmosphere was lively and loud. It's not the fastest place, and sure, there's some colorful language written on hats. Our first experience here at Dicks in Gatlingburg,Tenn...here for a Dance Competition at the Convention Center (worst convention center I've ever been to) We went into Dicks ,there were 12 of us we got seated within 5 mins, place was just starting to get crowded , our waiter came by us first word out of his mouth was a wisecrack towards the men, right from there we knew this place was gold... 6 kids at one table , 6 adults at the other, our waiter was awesome he gave out the wise cracks/insults fast but took them back from us just as fast , was hysterical esp when he put the chef hats on us the kids had a great time with him. The drinks were excellent , was nice to keep the mugs and the food was actually really good. IF you like to embarrass people on there birthdays the way the waiter did it here was awesome , two of the adult guys had a birthday and it was great to see them embarrassed but in a good way. Don't go here if your looking for 5 star service/food but if your looking to have a LOT of fun And a lot of laughs in a great location with a happy environment this is it. It's been a long while since I've been to Dicks. I really missed their locations in Minneapolis and Chicago but I had to take my wife here so she can see why I enjoy this place. Getting a seat was easy! Our server was (playfully) rude and was a great host of shenanigans to conclude our night. My only complaint I would have is if there were a few more healthier options on the menu. Wait times for food weren't bad at all and everyone in the establishment was having a great time. My only regret leaving was not buying a shirt for the road trip home. Highly recommend stopping by if you got a chance as long as you know what you're getting into. read more

I wish I knew the hostess' name because she actually grabbed my attention when she saw me taking a pic of the exteriors. Honestly, I didn't know where we were going to eat because we were only trying to locate a place to eat before heading back to the Hilton Garden Inn (SHORT WALK). Chelsie was our server and WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED HER!!! Q, the bartender was such a pleasure as well. I'll take that boxed wine if that's all you have. The "Rose" lady sealed the deal when she gifted me with a rose from a beautiful human being who I believe has great taste (*winks). My daughter loved the Mac 'n' Cheese! She practically finished the dish and then asked for a to-go box. I'm like, you should just finish it because it's practically done. Then she asks Chelsie for a box and she says, "You might as well eat that. You've ate it all anyway." (I am laughing hysterically because I literally told her she has two noodles left) *laughing emoji If I see a Dick's, I'll be visiting. No question about it. I had never heard of this chain of restaurants before my visit. I'll say you may not want to come here if you're extremely shy or in a bad mood or just sensitive. This place is full of staff that get paid to test your patience to the limits! I went with a group of friends for a late lunch. We ordered bbq wings along with spinach and artichoke dip. Both were phenomenal! I was very pleasantly surprised, as I figured the food would only be acceptable at best. The dip was so delicious one of the girls ordered a second round of it. I ordered the bacon cheddar burger with tots and apparently devoured it with no chance for pictures. Also got the big dick super margarita, which in my opinion was overly salty and full of juice not alcohol. I wouldn't order it again to be honest. Overall our waitress was good, all the orders came out correct and piping hot and fresh. She gave us a few laughs with the hats. It's an experience I personally only have to have once but I can see how it draws crowds. I'd totally order food to go from here though. read more

We had the most disappointing experience at this place this week. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, after being told it would take 30 minutes, so already not off to a great start. Once seated, we were greeted immediately, but it was apparent that our waiter was new and appeared to be in training. I believe this is why we were so disappointed in our experience. Our waiter made no jokes towards us, with us, or about us. Perhaps he wasn't confident, but it was really frustrating because we came to dicks for that experience, not because of the food. It was also obvious that our hats came from a catalogue of jokes, as you could see repeats around the restaurant. The food was alright. The best things on the menu were definitely either the burgers or fried chicken. All plates felt shorted on the sides and they felt a little over-priced (which is to be expected in this town). Like I said, we came for the experience and did not get it. Maybe it would've been better if we had another server, maybe not. But I don't expect to ever really want to try Dick's again after this. read more

Alright let's go! The staff was AWESOME! They fit the typically expected attitude but also did an amazing job of reading our anxious 6 year old to the point that she raved about it until she literally fell asleep. The place has a messy neatness to it that you either already understand or will by the time you leave. It's not dirty but it's always not fully clean. In other words the eating surfaces are super clean and the rest is, its own mood. My 13 year old raved about her burger and mashed potatoes to where she was stuffed when she finished. My wife enjoyed the Hawaiian P.I.G. Tacos but didn't live the raw onion in the salsa. I got the ribs and wings with tots and while the ribs were way better than expected, the wings were trash. I'm a wing aficionado and they not only didn't taste good but the texture was off and they didn't look fully cooked at the bone so I didn't eat them. Seemed like they were baked instead of fried. Dick's Last Resort Review We stopped into Dick's Last Resort for lunch and a couple of drinks, and it was an absolute blast. We ordered two appetizers, including the biggest tray of nachos I've ever seen--seriously, it could have fed a small army! My friends had never been to Dick's before and were a little shocked at the bartender's "rude" behavior--until they realized it's all part of the hilarious vibe. We were given three funny paper hats (each with a ridiculous saying), and when we asked for a straw, the bartender tossed the entire package of straws at us, lol. That set the tone for a lot of laughs. The food was tasty, the drinks were cold, and we even got to keep our souvenir glasses. Between the fun atmosphere, great eats, and fair prices, it was definitely worth the stop. If you're in Gatlinburg, don't miss it--you won't regret it! read more

This is probably the most hilarious place I have ever been to. My server's name was Emily, and she was the highlight of my day. She was super high energy and extremely entertaining. We went to eat at the one in pigeon Forge and honestly we did not have a good time so my family and I decided we needed to have a redo so we came to this location and I'm glad we did. The food was cold and the server wasn't fun at all. The other servers were funny and was a good time watching them.

I had the misfortune of eating here twice in 1 week (due to the group we traveled with). The only thing vaguely entertaining about this place is how deliberately rude they are to customers. FOOD: The first time was for a quick lunch, ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger, tasted like a frozen patty, zero flavor, 2 tiny strips of bacon. 3 out of 10 (3/10) And the 12" Big Wiener hot dog, which was charred on one end, but otherwise quite good. 6/10. Second time, the kids wanted to go for the experience of being harassed. The food was much worse. The ribs were burnt, dry and completely inedible 0/10 Chicken Sandwich was tough and difficult to eat without being smothered in sauce. 3/10 Chicken Alfredo was like a soup, but otherwise edible. 6/10 We tried to order the corn and beans side and the server told us NOT to. The server also spilled an entire drink on one of us (had to go back to the hotel and change) and apart from apologizing once, didn't make any effort to make it right, perhaps a free dessert or a discount off that person's meal for the massive inconvenience. Overall impression based on 2 visits: The rude / funny staff act will never make up for overpriced, terrible quality food. I definitely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you desperately want to see the experience, go and have a drink at the bar, but don't under any circumstances order food. read more
