We like this location is close to ASU. We came in for lunch during the weekday. We were seated as soon as we arrived. We have eaten here 4-5 times and we have had great service. We always order their spicy garlic edamame and it is really good. Its seasoned well, spicy kick and one of the best we have tried. This is what keeps us coming back. We like to try different sushi rolls and they have several options to select from. The restaurant is clean, quiet and you are able to have conversation at your table comfortably.

This is my go-to ramen/ sushi spot near work. I usually place an online pick-up order & it's always ready by the scheduled time. I've never had an issue & the food never disappoints. I love the curry ramen, orange chicken & the tootsie roll! Restaurant is clean & staff is attentive :)

Amazing ! We absolutely cleared the bowls. It was lively inside and clean. This is my third time here and they do an amazing job every time. Thank you again for the amazing ramen. The miso ramen was especially delicious and the wait time was less than 10 minutes. 10/10 must recommend. Thanks again!

I came in randomly for dinner and got the miso ramen and emerald sushi roll; both of which were good. The soft-boiled egg in the ramen was perfect. The service was very fast and there is ample parking. I enjoyed the themed decor and wall murals.

Quiet and clean. The food was served quickly and it was piping hot. Loved how quick and easy it was to order. Definitely a must try. I highly recommend the katsu bowl.

Excellent little spot tucked away on south Mill. Very chill spot excellent for lunch or dinner. Kid friendly. Easy to read menu. Service was great and the Ramen was excellent. I ordered the mild Miso Ramen and the heat was perfect. Noodles perfect and the pork was well cooked. Definitely recommend for the Ramen the sushi was okay. Maybe because I'm use to the sushi in the Chicago area. Would come again for the Ramen.

My friend and I wanted some ramen Tuesday after work (around 3pm), forgetting that ramen spots are usually closed between 3-5pm. However, Azusa Ramen was open and we were excited to give it a try. We got the Azusa Black. If I had to rate the ramen itself out of 10, I'd probably give it a 7. The taste of the broth was good but extremely thick. I've had rich and thick broths, so I'm accustomed to it, but with this one, despite the flavor being good, the texture was a bit too much. The pork was great. Egg was okay. And the noodles were also okay. Overall for the price, this place is pretty good. The staff was attentive and quickly got and delivered our order. The overall 4 star average is very appropriate.

The tonkotsu ramen was incredibly disappointing tonight. Thin in terms of consistency and flavor. The taste of pork broth or any flavor was faint. Hoping it was an off night.

Overall 3.5 stars. Azusa Ramen used to be our go to for ramen a few years ago. Their portion sizes are very generous! I love that they do not skimp out on the noodles. Come hungry or be prepared to take home some leftovers. I normally love getting their pork bowl, but went with the Azusa Black ramen bowl this time. The waitress was really kind and said they could honor my request for wavy instead of straight noodles. Unfortunately I still ended up with straight noodles :( the broth itself was rather light tasting despite how heavy it looked. The chashu was a bit tougher than I would have liked. My partner got the Yokohama Style ramen bowl. He loved his! It was just as he remembered it from his college days. If I were to come back again, I would probably order their rice bowls or something other than the Azusa Black. It was a bit underwhelming for a signature dish.

Overall amazing happy hour pricing but I wish there was more sushi happy hour options. Service was great and I was surprised ramen and 3 happy hour items only costed be -$30-40. Not bad! I thought the ramen was very delicious and my soft eggs were cooked perfectly. If I came back I'd probably be back for the ramen here and thought the sushi was just ok.

Ask the Community - Azusa Ramen&SuShi

    Are the spring rolls vegan?

    yes

Just wondering if this was the same team, same owner why was it not called Nishikawa Ramen?

We wanted to rebrand the new locations as Azusa as our owner is particularly patriotic, the name of course being Az USA, because we are Arizona based.

The menu is exactly like nishikawa, does it taste the same too?

    Yes

When I walked in, I was promptly directed to where I should go so I could place a takeout order. The genuine courtesy of the staff here was just what I needed after a long day. Lots of great options for sushi but ramen sounded amazing on a chilly winter day. I ordered a couple options and requested for the toppings to be separated so my picky eater could pick out what she didn't like. The food was out promptly and packaged with such care. Once I got it back to my daughter's hospital room, we were able to feast on the best meal we had all day. I will definitely be coming back to this place again and I am grateful for their kindness just when I needed it. Highly recommend!

Our server was attentive, happy hour was good and everything came out quickly. The cucumber salad was super refreshing and gyoza were yummy with a delicious sauce. We ordered sake bombs, and I absolutely love that they serve them with frosty chilled glasses. We tried two different ramen bowls and both were packed with flavor. The spice levels felt pretty accurate, the eggs were cooked perfectly, the meat was tender, and the noodles had a great texture. Each bowl had its own flavor profile, but both were equally delicious. We also tried the takoyaki (octopus balls). I was already getting full, so I wasn't as excited about them, but my boyfriend described them as a BBQ pancake bite. Overall, this is a great spot for ramen. I did notice the music was all girl bands and no boy bands. Clean restaurant, good service, flavorful food, and a fun atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

They still bring out food, drinks, and check on tables so there is service provided. Everything was quick and most of all tasty! Both of our ramens were medium spicy which can be modulated since the spicy paste is on the side and added to the broth. Overall both ramen bowls were delicious and with plenty of toppings included. One broth was clear, other was creamy and noodles had good texture. The noodle type isn't my exact favorite type of ramen but I still enjoyed it. I prefer a thicker ramen noodle. I still ate the whole damn thing lol. The chicken bun was very good although not spicy. I liked it-- chicken was nice and crispy and the bun was super soft & pillowy. The shrimp tempura hand roll was solid. No complaints. Tbh, I liked the food more than I expected to. Which is always nice when that happens. We've had this on our list to try since it opened over a couple years ago. Just kept forgetting about it. Glad we finally made it in :)

The servers are nice and the $20 combo deal is well worth in my opinion. You get to choose a bowl of ramen and an appetizer for that price. Fried Gyoza: savory and crunchy with the perfect dip to top it off. Shoyu Ramen: Well done egg and comforting warm broth. Love the ratio of broth to noodles. The pork is perfect in proportion and tender bite. Pork Bun: the cutest bun with a piece of marinated pork inside. Pretty good app! I'm not sure if they make smaller pork buns for the combo because if you order a fried gyoza with the combo, it comes with 4 pieces instead of 6. Either way it was worth it as part of the combo. If you're looking for an affordable comfort ramen spot I definitely recommend Silverlake!

The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

Upon entering, we were free to seat ourselves and chose a booth by the wall. It was not busy at all and the service was quick and friendly. We started off with a large sake bomb paired with a Kirin Light ($15). We then ordered two Tonkotsu Ramens, one medium spice and one hot spice ($15.99 each). Honestly, the hot spice level did not taste spicy at all, so I would recommend going extra hot if you like spice. They also provide chili powder on the table if you want to add more spice yourself. The ramen broth itself could have used a tad more flavor. I lightly added some soy sauce to the broth which is something I often do to add a little kick. I loved all of the toppings included, from the green onions to the kikurage (wood ear mushroom). My favorite part was the pork chashu, which was really tender and delicious. I also appreciated that the ramen came with a full soft boiled egg rather than half an egg, and the egg was perfectly runny. Before leaving, we ordered their tea special that was buy one get one. We got a matcha milk tea and a cafe latte which I forgot to take a photo of. I felt like the cafe latte could have used a little more sweetness to balance it. Also, I found it neat that Nishikawa offers a rewards program, not something I see often at ramen shops.
