Yutaka's fried food is the bomb! The gyozas do not come with sauce but are crispy on the outside and soft inside. The filling is yum!!! The potato croquettes is my favorite dish here. Another fried treat! It comes with a corn slaw and a special ketchup dip. I ordered the tempera udon without shrimp. In the past, the tempura is perfectly battered and fried. I've been going here since they opened. The apps sushi, the ramen, the sizzling entrees. I've had them all. My favorite is spicy tuna roll, spicy miso ramen, and Alaskan roll. Service is always 100 I forget the Asian guys name with glasses, he's there all the time. He's tight. I think he's co owner. I love To see him. Out of all of the years I've come here, not once have I ever had a bad experience with food or service. Price is also so cheap. The prices have virtually stayed the same for YEARS now. Stumbled upon this place on Yelp and the reviews did not lie, it's fabulous! Service was quick, the place was packed for a Tuesday lunch but they love quickly! It got quiet pretty quick when the larger groups finished up. We checked in on Yelp and got the gyoza for free - it was a bit too over cooked in my opinion but still tasty. The miso soup (not pictured because I was so hungry) was hot and refreshing. Beef teriyaki platter: 9/10 was hot and sizzling, sauced perfectly. This is a very nice sushi spot. Not having an actual sushi bar is a bit of a bummer but the quality of all the dishes are above average. Sadly, the service was a bit slow. The Ramen is excellent. Probably in my top one or two in Arizona. They have a limited selection of Nigiri, but the slices are quite generous and the prices are reasonable. Coming here during dinner hours will require a wait, as this place is pretty small. I came in the afternoon and there wasn't many people there. read more

We luckily got here before the Sunday dinner time rush so we were seated right away. The place is small so it'll be hard to have a large group here. Service was friendly and fast. Tasty Japanese food at a great price point. Portions are very generous. We ordered the ramen, tempura, and sashimi. We ate around 4pm and were full for the rest of the night. Tempura was a tad on the greasy side, and comes with rice and miso soup. Pretty good, but we didn't end up finishing it all. Ramen was very flavorful, and the pork was nice and tender. Came here with my fiance we wanted sushi so we wanted to try this place, there food i would give a 4 because what we order was very good, we had california roll, dynamite roll and potatoes croquettes. The service i wasnt happy with the girl sitting us at the table because when we sat down the table was wet first of all then we ask that same girl if you can ha e some napkins. She gave us the napkins with an attitude didnt say anything, just gave us the napkins and walked away. We had the waiter tall guy he was nice and helpful. Ambience the place is definitely very small but its a busy place for dinner for sure. No tv, no music. But definitely a small place with a couples of tables and chairs. I would recommend this place but it would be a wait time so expect that. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon as this was one of the top Ramen/sushi places on yelp and google. It's not a fancy restaurant but more of a walk-in open seat and the sushi counter is open to where you can see the workers making your food. With that said for three people, we were seated rather quickly. When you check in via Yelp, you receive three free gyozas or four California rolls and we opted for the Gyoza. The gyozas were tasty but the dipping sauce which I assume was soy sauce was not as flavorful or as salty as I like for dipping gyozas. We got the hungry man roll ,the viva Vegas roll ,spicy Ramen and tonkutsu Ramen. I expected the spicy Ramen to have a bit more flavor, it was spicy, but not very flavorful. I will say though the meat which is pork was soft and tasted good. I tasted my friend's tonkutsu and actually enjoyed the sauce of the better and think that the creaminess should also be a focus in the spicy Ramen along with adding some flavor. The viva Las Vegas rolls were a tad heavy for me. Flavor was not too bad and I did not try the hungry man Roll. I will add the little salad on the side of a Gyoza was very tasty. First visit, a Friday evening, the dining area is very small. Thankfully, we arrived before the early dinner rush. The service was fine. The food we ordered was not your typical ramen or sushi. The spicy miso ramen had chashu(pork belly) but it was overcooked. If you don't like a lot of spice, they will bring it on the side so you can add the spice to your liking. It's spaced out well, brightly lit, clean, and tastefully decorated. Being that it was so busy we had to wait a bit to be helped but our server was great despite being so busy. The good was the squid salad & the sashimi was great and rated 5 stars! The bad is their jalapeño Fire Roll which had the main ingredient as small croutons (nasty carbs). Japanese restaurant using croutons? Unbelievable! Secondly, the "fake seafood" inside the rolls was an amalgamation of probably left over seafood parts! No question it must have been ground up fish parts with an orange color! Something you would probably feed your fish in an aquarium. Lately the sauce caked over it was just spiced up thousand islands sauce. The ugly is that this recipe was probably engineered by an accountant or an efficiency expert, but definitely not a Japanese learned cuisine chef! Soooo cute! Met the owner; he is very passionate about what he has created. Our server was speedy, friendly and seemed okay recommending things to new customers. There are plenty of opportunities to get here and eat the fine food. The only problem is the dining area is so small. The food is good and they fill up fast on a busy day And you cant get a seat.
