I've been here many time. I had the dynamite roll today. It was fine. Not amazing. The gibbon roll was delicious. The Boston was pretty good. The crab Rangoon wasn't very good. It's kind of a divey place which I like. It's cute. The service was good. No complaints there. My daughter likes it so I would come back with her.

Been here many times over several years. I return or order takeout about once per month. Pros: Prompt service with local-family-owned vibes. The food is always delicious. Sushi and cooked meals from the kitchen are fresh and tasty. Lots to choose from on the menu. Cons: A toddler usually makes a couple appearances before being drug back into the kitchen area by a member of staff. Attention to detail lacking (cobwebs on decor, chipped plates, clutter about, wilted lettuce).

We came in here a few nights ago when I was craving sushi. Upon entering, I was a little taken aback by how cluttered and messy the restaurant was. There was only one couple eating which also made me nervous. We ordered chicken teriyaki, spicy tuna roll and Ginban roll. The chicken teriyaki was decent; however, the rolls were terrible. They tasted fishy -- I couldn't eat them. The spicy tuna roll was bright red, as if they just doused the tuna in a bunch of sriracha to attempt to cover up the fishiness. The Ginban was just as fishy even with all of the junk sauces drenched on top. The ingredient list on the menu didn't include a crab stick in this roll but that's what I got. Just awful. This was the most disappointing sushi I have had probably ever, and I have eaten at many sushi restaurants. Run far away.

Have gone to Ginban many times while visiting Phoenix and have historically had a good 4 star experience. This time ordered the sushi and sashimi combo, yam yam and spicy girl rolls, and some ramen. Ramen was fine, but both quantity and quality of the sushi had dropped. The rolls were good, but the fish on the top were small, thin slivers which in the past was not the case. The most disappointing was the sushi and sushi combo. The sushi was mostly rice, ratio to fish was terrible, there was no himachi / yellowtail, looks like the substituted white fish, the pieces overall were small, and quality wasn't very fresh. It wasn't fishy, rather it had no taste. It was a disappointment. 3 stars is giving them the benefit of the prior times I've gone, but if it's like this again then I'll update to 2 stars.

I was craving sushi and saw this place close by that had good reviews. Had my hopes up, but the food was just kinda ..eh. The fish was a little fishy, which isn't good when it comes to sushi. The restaurant was a little cluttered too. The staff was friendly though though. Doubtful I'd try it again.

Oh my word!! We didn't know their rolls were going to be so big or we wouldn't have ordered so much. Lol. Great mistake to have!! Every last roll was super good. To be honest, I don't remember what we ordered but, they were all worth it. They each carried such umami flavor and hit every single taste bud! We ordered to go. The only downside was, it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our order. Had we known this would have been the timeframe, we would've placed the order well in advance. But again, it was worth every minute we waited. We would definitely go back. However, we would not order as much. It took us three days to finish it.

Harumi has some great seafood flown in every day and I cant say enough about how great their Omakase is which I believe is only offered after 6pm. They also have a wide range of rolls that the kids love as well as a flaming one done table side which is fun to watch. They also have real wasabi for just two dollars more which is well worth it. Upon arrival, the place doesn't look like anything special. It's inside a strip mall, and looks mediocre. However, do not judge too soon. Once you get inside, everything is well laid out & it's very nice. It was busy when we went in on a Friday night, BUT we got seated quicker than estimated- which is always a win! I was not happy with where we were seated, as it was facing the wall in the small bar area. We are people watchers by nature, so it's always fun to be in a spot where we can look around the room effortlessly. However, it wasn't the end of the world and I certainly didn't want to wait any longer, the food looked wonderful & I was starving! I do not remember exactly which rolls we got, but... all of them were EXCELLENT!! Everything was undoubtedly fresh, and made with quality ingredients. I thought the black rice was really neat! I've never seen that before. The waitstaff were very friendly and accommodating. It took no time at all to get our orders out, which was impressive considering that the place was packed near capacity! As we left, all of the sushi pros behind the glass thanked us for coming in and wished us a great rest of our evening. I thought that was very kind. It's not very often that you find a whole line of people stopping what they are doing to wish you well on your way out of their establishment. All in all, 10/10 experience! I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Sushi!

Definitely a vibe for anime lovers! Food-wise, we started with the gyoza and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and even better dipped in the ponzu sauce! We also tried the sushi flight, which was a great way to sample a few different flavors. Overall, I really enjoyed it, although the eel was probably my least favorite of the flight just personal preference. The crispy tuna rice was easily the star of the meal! Crispy, flavorful, and the textures worked so well together. I would 100% order that again. The ramen, however, was just okay for me. It wasn't bad or inedible, but the broth was lacking that rich, deep flavor I look for in a good bowl of ramen. A little more depth and seasoning would really take it to the next level. The service was honestly one of the highlights. Our waiter was super friendly, cool, and attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The great service, fun atmosphere, and crispy tuna rice are enough for me to give Full Moon Izakaya another try. Next time, I'll be exploring more of the menu!

We shifted gears and went next door to Sake Haus, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was spectacular! First of all--BEST edamame I've ever had! That tallow really adds a richness! And the gyoza had just the right amount of kick to them. We had both the hamachi crudo and the halibut crudo. They were both delicious, but the hamachi was the standout. Hamachi is usually a little too fishy for me, but this just melted in my mouth and left me wanting more. We also had one of the specials, the 808 roll. It was topped with poke, and we would not let them take the plate until we'd scooped up every little morsel! Cocktails and service were excellent as well. We definitely ended up with a pricier meal than what we'd planned next door, but it was totally worth it! I wish I'd taken pics of the beautifully plated dishes, but I was too just eating!

The service- pretty poor. I was sat in the bar at the back but I basically sat there for a good 5 minutes and nothing. I went back up front and asked to sit at the bar and it was still pretty inattentive, especially considering no one else was even seated in the front room at the time. Never got my water refilled, had to flag them down to put in more food, that sorta thing. The vibes- thought the bar was pretty lit and is prob pretty fun during HH. The food- overpriced for what you get and portion size while the fish and flavors being a smidge above average. I left still hungry after getting the gold omakase, bad and buri roll, and hamachi crudo. The hamachi was the best part of the meal but I'd still expect at least 5 pieces for the price. Anyways, this spot will hit the spot if you have a sushi craving. I can't vouch for the drinks but I assume it more than checks the box in that regard judging by the menu, selection, and vibe. But know that you're in for some trade offs imo.
