I had to make a stop in Bloomington today after I picked up my commemorative rally towel for the Rose Bowl game. And of course stop at the great pizza place. I love supporting local businesses and this one is a Purdue university (Boiler Up ) graduate which makes it even better because he did a project and was able to do a upstart of this business and now it is several locations throughout central and southern Indiana. I had the "figgy piggy" - It is the pizza of the month it was great great combination of all these ingredients. December's Pizza Of The Month is the Figgy Piggy. It has Fig Jam, Mozzarella, Nueske's Bacon, Shaved Brussels Sprouts, Goat Cheese, and a drizzle of Hot Honey. With a side salad and the other half of the pizza was garlic breadsticks it's a perfect combination for around 15 bucks and a drink. You should check out any of their locations throughout Central and southern Indiana worth the stop angry value for your money. they may also make their own ranch dressing, which is really good and you can get much pretty much any thing on your salad that you can get on a pizza topping as well. Service was great. They attended to my special request and toppings. The dining room was very busy kind of on the cold side, but that's because it was near an exit and the entrance to the mall itself. read more

Azzip really exceeded my expectations. I thought it was really good for fast pizza. You can order off their menu, build your own pizza, or customize one of the menu pizzas. I ordered an Italian Stallion pizza but replaced the meatballs with Zero sausage and the mozzarella with dairy-free cheese. I was happy about the vegan options (they also have plant-based pepperoni). I thought the pizza came out great. It looked like the crusts were pre-baked which isn't really the same as a fresh-baked crust, but the crust on my pizza still tasted fresh. I liked the square crust, it was thick but airy like focaccia, not heavy. I will say the pizza came out a little oily for my taste. I'm not sure if this was from the pesto or if it was just the crust. I joined their rewards program which gave me a free chocolate chunk cookie and fountain drink with my first visit. I probably wouldn't have gotten the cookie if it wasn't free, but it was actually really good. It was served warm so the chocolate was a little melty. I would get it again and pay for it (only $.89)! The staff here were great! Service at these counter service places is not great a lot of the time but everyone here was very friendly and professional! They left me with a good impression and I'll be sure to visit again! read more

I had a pleasant experience eating at Azzip ! I remember when Terre Haute got an Azzip, but I didn't even up checking them out before leaving for Bloomington. I thought their commercials were always fun. The service we experienced was great ! It was just like subway, but for pizza. When we were checking out, we didn't order drinks. The guy behind the counter asked if we wanted cups for water, unprompted. I got a square zip - which was delicious ! It's hard to find a pan crust anymore since the only die you can get is small. And if I'm ordering a pizza for multiple people, it's not going to be a small. The size was perfect for one person. The crust was crisp and fluffy. The only complaint I have is the price is steep for a personal pan. But I've had worse pizzas for $9. read more

I've been going to Azzip since the first one opened in Evansville, Indiana when I was in college. I change up my toppings from time to time. This last visit, I got a big zip with sausage, onions, tomatoes, and spinach. The person helping me asked if I wanted some extra cheddar cheese because it will help the spinach not burn as badly in the oven. The spinach still burned. I don't remember the spinach burning this badly. It still tasted fine. I would recommend putting the spinach on the bottom of the pizza instead of on top of it. Maybe that would help. I also got a cookie. They're warm, soft and super chocolately for only $.60. read more

After I warmed up the pizza it was delicious. The pizza took 20 minutes longer to arrive than the time given for delivery. When it arrived to me it was cold. Love, love, love Azzip Pizza. I can always get two meals when I get a pizza from here, especially when I get the big zip for $7.50. Azzip pizza works like subway: you choose pizza, salad, or the half pizza, half salad option. It comes in a lil zip for $6 or $7.50 for a big zip. After you choose your base, then you can choose a variety of sauces like red sauce, pesto, bbq, buffalo, etc and then top it with your meat of choice. I actually really enjoy their pulled pork and meatball option! After that, you can add as many or little veggies as you want. Once you're happy, they put your personal pizza in the oven and in less than two minutes, you have a delicious pizza. If you don't feel like making your own pizza, they also have a list of premade pizza options that are also delicious! There's not a real long wait and the staff will even bring your pizza right to your table. I went over the weekend with my boyfriend and I love getting ranch as my sauce base, but the guy accidentally put garlic butter as the sauce base instead which was quite disappointing.
