I had to try it, as I'm always on the hunt for a good Bona drink place. My review is for Taro Milk Tea and Mango Green Tea with large Tapioca in both drinks. Just like the flavor of pho broth can "make or break" an unforgettable dish, so can the Tapioca and flavor of a Boba drink. Not a bad choice if you're looking for Boba in Pearlridge Uptown. Not sure if there's anything else up there that serves it - there probably is, but this is my second time here, and my first time actually perusing the mall! I ordered what's generally my usual drink, a Honeydew slush/smoothie with boba (the large black tapioca if you need that much clarification, since the place does have small white tapioca and flavored popping boba). My first impression was that the drink was really, really sweet. While honeydew is generally one of the sweeter flavors, this one was just a bit too much. To add to that, the boba was fairly strong and still seemed a little firm in the middle. It wasn't the most harmonious mix. My straw was also creased a bit, which made it really difficult to actually finish my drink - I had to rip open that plastic covering they put over the top to finish my boba and get my money's worth! What intrigues me about this place is that they have other things, like froyo and pitaya bowls, so I'd return in the future to try something different if I was persuaded. We ordered a blended caramel boba drink and tried their frozen yogurt and bubbies mochi ice cream. There were a lot of toppings to choose from and regular flavors for the yogurts. The chocolate frozen yogurt tasted like it was watered down - basically no taste except for a tiny, tiny hint of cocoa. The taro flavor, on the other hand, has a well-balanced flavor and ended up being something I wanted to get more of! The blended caramel drink wasn't so special, nothing more or nothing less of what was ordered; however it was a refreshing drink to have while shopping around. The mochi ice cream was rock hard - not to be eaten immediately after being served which was quite a bummer. But they were delicious once the mochi ice cream warmed up after a few minutes. The cashier at the time was an elderly woman who seemed pretty impatient and a bit not so friendly to my family and I. I get that she was trying to serve everyone since there was a line, but she should serve each customer with the same consideration as the one before and after. And there were a couple workers in the back that seemed a bit off their game since they took awhile to prepare the drinks and even the mochi ice cream. I've been coming to this location for years while visiting, so it's been an on-off again thing. This is the first time I tried it under the new name. The good: The flavors are standard, can't tell the difference. I usually only get honeydew and thai coffee though so that is not saying much. I've always liked the fact that their boba had flavor, like they use that block sugar or honey to soak them. That is still the same. The service was good, the guy was very nice and polite. The not so good: What was different is that the boba was hard - not hard because it was cold-hard, but undercooked still-raw-in-the-middle hard. I'm chalking it up to the "newness/inexperience" although I have no clue how long they've been open. (I was here in Sept, so sometime after that) The other issue I had was that there were fruit flies on their container of fruits. Live and dead ones. Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware that the fruits and veggies we eat are not sterile, but for crying out loud - having fruit flies is a sanitation issue, if you can't figure out where they're coming from, at least don't let your customers see it! Keep it clean! But seriously, they should figure out where that (potentially) rotting piece of fruit is that they're breeding on. read more

Stumbled upon this gem in pearl ridge mall uptown, located on the 1st floor below the satellite city hall. Their teas come with real fruit, and there smoothies as well. Consistently well made drinks, and quality is superb. The man guy that's always there, who I believe is the owner is a very polite man. I love this place! Its now one of my favorite places to go for quality boba drinks! I came here for the first time and was greeted and served quick and friendly! This place looked clean and the toppings that were out looked fresh and stocked. I came here for a thai tea with baby boba balls. My son loves stopping by here for a weekly treat of his choice. The workers are always so friendly and helpful. I have yet to try their drinks but the frozen yogurt is pretty good. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I usually dont drink anything from here, but the taste tea was just to busy for me to order at the time. I went ahead and specifically ordered a "Thai tea with boba blended." Not realizing after 2minutes until I took my first sip that it was "Taro." I went back and politely told her that I ordered a Thai tea not Taro. She gave me a look and told me,"no you said taro blended." She took my drink in the back and I noticed that she dumped the taro drink in the sink over a strainer to save the boba. She then put that boba back into my new drink and sealed the top. She then rinsed off my straw and put the same straw back into my new drink. That lady was so rude and I thought that this was so gross. The boba was almost mush, plus there was no flavor so it was just sitting in water not flavored syrup. Also, the milk teas just taste like powder- it left a weird feel in my mouth afterwards. Haven't tried the yogurt, don't really want to. I'll probably skip this place and go to Jamba Juice or somewhere else before coming here. read more

Located near TJ Maxx in Pearlridgr mall is this new boba drink place. They also serve acai bowls, pitaya bowls, shave ice, self serve yogurt with toppings, Bubbies mochi ice cream, etc. You can adjust the sweetness, type of dairy and type of boba to make your drink exactly what you want. I always get Thai tea. I asked for 50% sweetness and that was perfect for me. The prices are pretty reasonable too. My 16oz Thai tea with 50% sweetness and no boba was $3.50 before tax. Service was decent. I think the manager was helping me at the register. He was pretty nice. The other staff seemed okay. We did come on New Years Day so I'm just thinking they were tired from their family and friend events the night before. No hard feelings..totally understandable. Delicious. Reasonably priced. Ordered an acai bowl as well as a couple milk teas. The acai bowl was A+++. It was huge! Lots of different fruits on top as well as granola and honey. This is one of a couple of boba / milk tea places inside and within the Pealridge Shopping Center mall. There are always a couple of them always in Pearlridge whether it is in the Phase 1 downtown side or Phase 2 uptown side but this one is inside the Phase 2 uptown side near the West wing side of the area. It is right next to shops like the local Hawaiian products store, Payless, the new Applebees, etc. It is a stand alone little stand and not only do they serve boba and milk tea but also self serve froyo as well. Their boba milk tea ranges from $3.50-$4.50. I tried a couple of flavors like their black tea and jasmine green tea and it was just ok. I also tried their self serve froyo and it was ok too. Their prices are decent for the quality of their food and drinks I feel. The customer service is pretty good. If you ask for a sample cup to sample taste froyo, they will do it for you. They also have Five Stars rewards to get rewarded for frequent purchases which I benefited from a couple of times. read more
