Refreshing beverage at Waimalu Shopping Center in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i... Since we were here already for lunch and had free parking, we decided to go to Tea Spot, near Palama Market. The only inconvenient thing was the restroom, or lack of restroom. We had to go to Palama Market and find the restroom in the far corner, past th meat department... it was kinda spooky. LOL! The young gal at the counter was pleasant and efficient! I saw the sign for Peach Tea as a Summer Special and ordered one. It was light and great for calming down my burning mouth from the Thai food I had just had. Haha! I also got Stitch blind boxes. It was fun to open and very cute! (The other merchandise was kawaii, too!) Thanks for a good experience! I almost got a useful folding chair - with Stitch on it! ... and a souffle pancake! It looked delicious!
A friend saw this place on Instagram and wanted to check it out, so we went with a group of seven. We got there about an hour before closing, and there was only one person working, so things came out slowly but no big deal. We ordered four soufflés -- chocolate, brown sugar, strawberry, and matcha -- plus a few drinks with boba. I tried the avocado smoothie with boba, which was just okay (definitely had better). My friend said the same about her strawberry tea. We all got to sample the soufflés, and the chocolate and strawberry ones were the winners. They came out one by one since everything's made fresh, but they were warm and fluffy, so worth the wait! It was everyone's first time trying soufflés like this, so that made it fun. The place itself is small and cute with comfy chairs in different sizes, a claw machine game, and some little collectible toys for sale. We basically had the place to ourselves, which was nice. I'd skip the drinks next time but would come back to try their crepes!
Next time I come back to this spot, it's going to be me trying their soufflé & crepes & ice cremes. Everything looks so good. This time around, I ordered the special coffee tea boba. Reminds me of a Hong Kong milk tea. So GOOD! Highly recommend if you like both coffee and tea together. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. The inside of the store had fold-out chairs. Made me feel like a picnic or a beach day. Definitely a relaxed vibe to chill and relax and enjoy the drinks prepared for you.

I was still pregnant at the time so I couldn't have a lot of sugar or caffeine so I just ordered the fruity pancakes. I'll come back and try the boba drinks soon! Inside the store was pretty packed with chairs, enough room to move around, but if they ever get busy it would get loud and not a lot of room to adjust seating. The decoration is also a mix of all kinds of toys and random stuff. I don't know if their main clientele they're trying to attract is families with young kids or teens or maybe both? I just know I don't see myself staying here for a long time. I'm going off the assumption that they would also want to attract students who stay a long time and study like most boba spots. Of course, they told me that it would take about 10 - 15 minutes, and I didn't mind waiting, I knew what I signed up for. I also had my dog with me so I asked for blueberries on the side so that I could share with him. The pancakes were great, but a little dry since the only thing topping it was syrup. I do like the fruit combo though because it made me feel like I was being a little healthy. Something I wish I did was try the brown sugar boba since that's usually my go-to. Overall, if I'm in the area and want soufflé pancakes, I'm definitely coming back. The service was fast, food was good, and location was convenient.
Let me update my review regarding being charged a FEE for not paying with cash. There IS a SMALL sign on the machine. Went in today and noticed it. Should be bigger in direct view.

Wanted bubble tea. There's two spots in this area but this place looked like they had more fruit teas so decided to try it. Got the passion fruit lemon tea with boba. They used fresh passion fruit and lemon in my tea which was awesome! The boba were also a good consistency. You can choose your sweetness. Got it 50% sweet which was still a little too sweet for me so I would get 25% next time. The place is clean and server was friendly. My only complaint is that they only have one size of tea which is 24 oz.
I'm surprised this place isn't busier!! But hey, if it means we can get our boba fix quicker then I'm all for it! Easy menu. Ordered an Oreo milk tea with brown sugar boba & a cheese cap. Friendly cashier advised the Oreo one already comes with a cheese cap & inquired if we wanted an additional. Thank you for the heads up! Clean, neat wall art, claw machine inside.
Amazing service and such a cute atmosphere, many food options for desserts from souffles and smoothies to milk tea! Also this boba place opens a bit earlier than ones in Pearl city area, it's located in waimalu shopping center and it opens at 10am! I definitely recommend stopping by
This little shop packs a good amount of yummy goodies. They have a table in the middle when you enter filled with Knick knacks online gadgets.... etc. To the left against the wall are all kinds of crack seeds THATS MY HUSBANDS area! Lol They also have freeze dried skittles/airheads and many more yummy goodies hanging on the wall. So when you walk in your eyes are fidgeting all over! We sat down in the back of the shop. They have some tables nicely arranged for you to enjoy their yummy deserts. We had the Gotcha Matcha mmm Its delicious. I think they smash azuki beans in the mixture before rolling it. Not sure but it tasted like Azuki beans. They have boba drinks - cotton candy - all kinds of yummy goodness. Next time I come here Im definitely having the mango,
Located in Waimalu shopping center. Parking is a bit tough to find considering this shopping center provides a whole bunch of different food restaurants. We came here to get boba but was curious about the soufflé. The photos of the menu on the glass look so appetizing we decided the get a brown sugar soufflé along with thai milk tea and mango smoothie. Thai milk tea is not bad, i've had better at other shops. Mango smoothie was tasty, love that it's fresh mango. Boba is soft and chewy, needs more sugar though. Brown sugar soufflé comes with 3 light fluffy cakes on top drizzled with brown sugar and cream topped with boba pearls. Tasted really good, love that it's not super sweet since as getting older, i'm not super into sweet foods. The boba on top just compliments the brown sugar. Next time i want to try the oreo soufflé.
Came here after dinner today. You can order 25% - 100% sweet. Wife and I ordered the Boba Milk Tea at 25%. It still tasted really good. I can't imagine what 100% would taste like. I guess if you want diabetes then go for it. Interior seating is kind of small, almost like for kids, which is probably good if you're taking little ones there. The soufflés look delicious but haven't tried them yet. Loved my drink. Will be back.

There are some times too many tea places in the Aiea area to choose from but TEA SPOT is one of the best spots. The parking at Waimalu shopping center is ample, there's a seating area with very cute decor and photo spots! Drinks are made upon order and the service is good. If you love blind boxes there is a corner of goodies for sale and a nice display of them at the cash wrap. We recently also tried a soufflé crepe and it was very instagram-able and delicious! Big enough portion for a sweet tooth to eat aline but also large enough to share with a group so that you can all finish your own bobas read more

We came here to get boba but was curious about the soufflé. The photos of the menu on the glass look so appetizing we decided the get a brown sugar soufflé along with thai milk tea and mango smoothie. Thai milk tea is not bad, i've had better at other shops. Mango smoothie was tasty, love that it's fresh mango. Boba is soft and chewy, needs more sugar though. Brown sugar soufflé comes with 3 light fluffy cakes on top drizzled with brown sugar and cream topped with boba pearls. Stopped by for some sweet treats on Saturday around 2pm. When I entered there was a young lady behind the counter on her phone. When I walked up to look at the menu she seemed irritated at my being there. I told her that there were 4 of us and we would all be ordering drinks. I also wanted 2 souffle pancakes. She took my order unenthusiactically. As she rang up my items I noticed 2 passion fruit lemonade entered on the order screen for $0. I said oh that sounds good what is that. She pointed to a paper on the plexiglass in front of the register. I hadn't noticed it before, it said that a free passion fruit lemonade would be given with any souffle order as a mother's day promotion. After feeling rushed to order she asked dine in or take out. I told her we would be dining in. We sat and waited for our order. Everything was delicious. I had to ask for forks to eat the souffle pancakes with since none were given at the time we received the items. I was disappointed with the unfriendly service as this was the first time I encountered this here but I understand everyone has a bad day once in a while. I will continue to support this business and hope to encounter the usual friendly service on my next visit. read more

Eh, totally not my favorite boba tea spot. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, there was no one inside. We ordered a chocolate coconut smoothie, a wintermelon tea with Lychee jelly at 50% sweetness, and a choco oreo soufflé pancakes. My mom and daughter enjoyed the smoothie! The wintermelon tea was okay, I've had better, but it was refreshing! The soufflé pancakes were okay. There were two oreo cookies on top that my kids enjoyed. But otherwise, it wasn't very exciting. The soufflé pancakes themselves were not warm, or as fluffy as I've had at other places. And the "sauce" was literally just needed chocolate ice cream. I dint think they were worth $14. The service... was okay. Not very fast, but also not too slow. Didn't think we should have waited as long as we did for Luke warn pancakes with melted ice cream. The person that took our order seemed bored with her job. On a brighter note, the place is cute, with cute decor. Would be cute spot to hang out with the kiddos. read more
It certainly did hit the spot! Since I was in the area on this unusually warm day I decided to search for a tea spot...poof! Here it is Tea Spot lol!! This woman-owned and operated biz with its bright and minimalist decor though thoughtfully placed wall arts from a whale to the popular angel wings did make it a fun photo op with my tea. With classic categories of Milk Tea, Fruit Tea, Smoothies and something new for me Fresh Milk. Not a fan of smoothies more so with the unknown mix of or lack of fruit I do tend to keep the ingredients simple without being a Karen asking too many questions. More of a fruit tea lover I was delighted to see a lovely list of choices though it's made with only Jasmine tea. Understandably keeping things simple is a cost effective solution though the lack of choices didn't impress me when you give yourself the name of Tea Spot. I stuck with what usually works is the Passionfruit Tea with sweetness of 25%. I did like it but sadly tasted a bit light as a lack of something...it could be the choice of tea but it took care of my cravings and I was happy. Thank you! read more

I first removed this place when it had just opened a while back. Since then I've returned a few times. Located in the Waimalu Strip mall along a Farrington Highway, corner of Hekaha street. Found on the north end of the mall near a Kapiolani diner. Pop in for delicious smoothies, teas and their extra fluffy pancakes. I always forget to take a pic because we just dive in when we're served. My favorites: breakfast crepe with strawberries and banana and the chocolate crepe with Oreo. read more

I really wanted to stop here because the ad showed souffle pancakes with oreos that looked soooo good! So I got the souffle pancakes, which took about 25 minutes. They were a little eggy not sweet. But the chocolate topping was very tasty. We also got a strawberry smoothie which was pretty good and my daughter chose the oreo smoothie. She chugged it down. read more

I was in the area for dinner so I went back to try the pancakes here this time and they were so good! We tried the brown sugar, Oreo, and strawberry flavors. I liked the Oreo the best I think - the strawberry was good but not my favorite and I liked the brown sugar but it was very sweet. I would definitely come back to keep getting the pancakes. I'm still hesitant about the drinks from my last experience but the pancakes are worth it! read more

Cute little boba shop located inside Waimalu Shopping Center. We went to Jackie's Diner first and then ran over to grab boba while we waited. The guava smoothie is better than the coconut taro smoothie in my opinion. The guava smoothie had a real strong flavor that really quenched your thirst. The coconut taro was a little more on the subtle side and didn't get better until halfway through the drink. As for the boba, they're unique. It's like in between the big and the mini size, which leads me to think that maybe they hand make their own boba? read more
First time trying this place since I found a $1 off coupon in the ValPak It was empty when we walked in and the cashier didn't greet us, wasn't very welcoming (lack of customer service) So I said "Hi, it's our first time here, what's your favorite drink?" She just said "boba milk tea" and had a blank look on her face. (Ok.... Like which one?) I asked about the fruit smoothies and what they add in it and she just said "fruit and ice" (blank stare) Then I asked if they have agave for sweetener? She said no, only regular sweetener. OK. So like sugar syrup? Yeah. Ok. So I asked if they have Honey and she said, yes but they usually only use it with the desserts. OK... So I asked if she can use Honey in my drink? She spoke to the other lady in the back and then said Ok she can make it with honey. I asked what kind of tea they used in the Strawberry Fruit Tea and she said Green Tea (blank stare) (totally unmotivated job vibes) OK, so I ordered us, One Watermelon Smoothie 25% sweetener and One Strawberry Fruit Tea with 0% sweetener, add only Honey. After she made the drinks she just placed it on the counter. She didn't say thank you or anything. The Watermelon Smoothie was mostly ice and my Strawberry Fruit Tea was very diluted and not much flavor, just blah. (It totally just dawned on me, that I know EVERYTHING is ENERGY - so I should've known the drinks would be a reflection of the person making it) DUH! lol We asked if they could remake the Watermelon Smoothie with more Watermelon than ice and the cashier, Michelle said, ok she can remake it. (no apology) She asked if we wanted it with more sweetener? We said no, keep it at 25% just add more watermelon and less ice. The owner Joy, came to the front to explain that the watermelon was not in season and is expensive...? And even if she did add more fruit, they wouldn't be able to mix the ice with it because of the portions....?? And that it wouldn't make much of a difference but she'll remake it for us anyway with more fruit.... Then she asked if we wanted to add more sweetener at 100%? It all sounded like a bunch of BS, so we said, OK, we'll just add 50% sweetener. The remake was slightly better but not worth having again. 2 stars for the Owner remaking the drink yet still - very disappointing experience. Overall, the lack of customer service skills (they didn't ask how the drinks tasted Before or After the remake) and mediocre drinks makes us not return for future business. read more
We pass this place all the time and decided to give it a try. The ambience was upbeat and modern. We were the only ones there. As nice as it was, we were really disappointed with the customer service. We told the cashier it was our first time there and asked her what was their best seller. She just gave as a generic answer and unmotivated look. Then we asked her about the sweetener options and she just gave us one option, liquid sugar. We asked if they had agave or honey. She said they have honey but was reluctant to give us because they use it for a dessert item. She finally gave in and add the honey. We ordered the Strawberry Fruit Tea and the Watermelon Smoothie with 25% sweetener. The Strawberry seemed like there was not enough strawberries and a little watered down. We couldn't taste the honey. The Watermelon Smoothie was a full cup of crushed ice and after 3 sips, the smoothie was gone leaving only a cup full of crushed ice. I brought it to attention of the owner and she said she'll remake it and add more watermelon but need to add more liquid sweetener 50% to dilute the crushed ice. It's like there trimming just to get by. Sadly to say, everyone is going through a tough time. I hope this review can help to improve their customer service and the quality of their product. read more
I came here one afternoon craving for some milk tea. I ordered a classic milk tea with coffee jelly. The lady was really friendly, and took my order with no problem. She was also quick to make my drink. The drink itself was good. It had the right amount of tea flavor and was sweetened just right. I really liked the coffee jelly, as it was easy to drink and not super chewy. size was decent and the price wasnt bad. Inside was nice and clean too. There's some tables and chairs where people can hang out, and just lounge. Would be cool to see some board games there. read more

It's super hot and humid outside today so we were looking for something refreshing to drink. My sister-in-law remembered how good the soufflé and teas were here so she suggested that we come here. OMG!!! I had the Passion Mango tea, and it tasted exactly like passion fruit.. literally had passion fruit inside of the tea. The strawberry soufflé was super light and delicious- definitely went well with my tea. If you're in the area you should stop by and try one of the fruit teas and a soufflé read more

We saw a new boba place after getting some groceries at Palama and since we were in the area we decided to stop by at the Tea Spot located at Waimalu Shopping Center. Their menu is pretty packed with plenty of options. Choices from smoothies, milk tea, fruit tea or a soufflé will sure have you thinking on what to get. We decided to try their soufflé since it looked really yummy! We got the coco Oreo soufflé ($12.95). I also went with a honeydew smoothie ($5.95). I decided to get something I'm used to getting at other boba spots. The drinks came out first and soufflé second. The wait wasn't to long since there wasn't anyone ordering before us. The soufflé was very soft, bouncy and most importantly.. delicious!! Not to mention it looked amazing! Definitely need to come back to try their other flavors. The cream cheese or strawberry is catching my eye for the next visit. Overall, very nice place to grab a drink and go. There is also a sitting area to eat your soufflé. Also cute pictures on the walls to take pictures of your drinks. Very pleased on my first time here and will definitely recommend! read more
8-12-21 decided to pull in after reading some Yelp reviews recently. Groomer had called that fur bebe was ready so perfect timing. Soft spoken young owner Joy, mans the front counter for ordering and paying. There was another female worker in the kitchen- the orders were given to her in another language. The doors were open before 10 a.m. but when I ordered the two drinks was informed that the brown sugar boba was not ready. I wanted to try a soufflé and was told it will take 15-20 minutes. I repeated the order a few times. Perhaps the newness of a soft opening was the reason. I had high hopes as cocoa and Oreo sounded decadent. It made quite a filling snack but was not sweet. I found out you need to stir the milk tea super well ... without stirring it had a celery aftertaste to me... was it the straw? Or the tea? Or the boba? I was trying to figure it out...oh my. However with vigorous stirring it got better. The shop being almost a week new is clean, bright with wall decals, cute little signs on the right side of the pay counter, a pink Peppa pig decorated basket for tips and a tiny mermaid receptacle for label backing opala(trash) Congratulations on your opening. read more
So I stopped by with some of my friends from work. We wanted to check out this new location. We was provided with good service. I got the Oreo milk tea with boba. she explained that there was cheese foam. I got really excited but confused when I got a straw and cover. I shook it up and drunk though straw. It did taste different but good and The boba was fresh. I was torn between a 4 and 5 rating and will return with update to try something else read more
Another confession from a self proclaimed boba connoisseur: Last week while stopping by Chun Wah Kam, I spotted a new tea spot! Rachie, moth. Tea spot, flame. Ya catch my drift? The spot is where Aloha Crepes used to be. It's definitely transformed inside. A lot more spacious and open. Since covid hit, my usual tea joints have shortened their hours. I've naturally always been a night owl, vampire, nocturnal creach... The fact that this place is open later than them, might win me over on certain days (more so nights). As you might already know, I definitely have had my fair share of boba by now. When testing new milk teas, classic or signature will tell me what I need to know. This first sip, literally brought me back circa 2002 to my first lick of boba milk tea in San Diego. They have done it, and I am coming back to try the rest of the menu. I did see something with azuki and I know Mr. G is won over without even trying it lol. I don't visit any other Leeward spots that have an azuki add in. So, confession within this confession is that I came to try the souffle pancakes. The milk tea was just the (boba)cherry on top. When reading another review, I had no idea cloud 9 closed. They were the one of the very few places to find souffle pancakes. It was too far for me, so thanks Tea Spot for bringing it in. I ordered the strawberry souffle since I was already having a boba milk tea. If it wasn't tea day (surprise! I don't really survive on ONLY boba), I would've gotten the boba souffle. I love this place for not only being open later, but having the items I ordered within the hour of closing. I absolutely hate a first impression where you know they weren't prepared and do not have their ish together. I said it before and I'll say it a million times, a hundred million times, e.v.e.r.y. s.i.n.g.l.e. t.i.m.e. you better not be out here calling yourself a boba shop if y'all ain't bringing the got dang BOBA!!! I'm obviously an irate customer that has experienced this way more than enough times... but bravo Tea Spot, y'all bringeth the boba! It was perfect too, chewy & sweet. Now, if you've seriously made it to the end of this novel of a tale... hats off to you! Enough lollygagging! Get your tush over there and give them all your monies! The tea was on the sweet side. Maybe it was because I came from eating Cajun food but I just felt it was rather sweet. Inside there are tons of other flavors and there are cute designs to take pictures of! Sorry, I forgot to take a pic of the boba tea but it is regular brown colored with darker boba bubbles that sink to the bottom of the cup. They have nice straws made from recycled material. I know we can't and shouldn't use plastic but somehow I feel this alters the taste of the tea. I have to say the person that helped us was extremely sweet and helpful. Next time I will definitely try other flavors!! read more
