I'm not a toasted bagel person so with that being said, I got a plain with lox spread early in the morning. It was good but the bagel was chewier than I'd like. Still, a very good bagel and the lox spread was too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A few seats to enjoy inside if you're not in a rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Turkey Bacon Egg & Cheese Sandwich

Solid bagel shop in the UES! I got the turkey bacon, egg, and cheese on a whole wheat everything bagel. The bagels are on the chewier side, so I think it really comes down to personal preference. The everything bagel had a ton of seasoning and I appreciated that they had turkey bacon as an option since regular bacon is a little too much for me sometimes. The line moves quickly, but after paying for your food it gets a little chaotic waiting for the food and making sure you're picking up the right order since there isn't really a numbering system. Otherwise solid option with the typical spread; will probably be back to try some other items!

Surprised this place has anything less than 5 stars. For me, this is the best bagel I have found in the UES. Far better than Bagelworks and H&H. The bagels are big, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside with a really great chew - everything a perfect bagel should have. I haven't had a bad bagel here yet. This is different than some of the other big hitters in the UES, where it's been really hit or miss. Right now when people ask me for my pick for best bagel in UES, B&B is where I send them!

This spacious bagel shop I have passed by many times and wanted to try it so I stopped in. My bagel was what I thought to be pretty pricy. I only got scallion cream cheese on a sesame bagel and it was almost 7.00! Staff were not that friendly to me. Maybe I came on an off day. But the shop itself was very clean and they have plenty of seating inside and outside. The bagel itself with scallion cream cheese was ok nothing special.

Everything egg bagel

I recently tried an egg everything bagel and it was really good! The bagel had the perfect slightly tougher outside and nice soft inside. Flavor was great as well! Service was pretty quick and the shop was just about as busy as any bagel shop on a weekday morning.

New UES bagel spot, got the lox and cream cheese bagel. A little pricey, but I was satisfied with the amount of lox they gave and flavor in the little beast. Lox was savory and salty, capers gave it a nice bite against the creamy cheese, and the bagel was meaty and sturdy, good texture. Probably one of the better bagel sandwiches I've had in the city.

The veggie bagel was soo good! I loved it. The service was pretty quick, [[HIGHLIGHT]]can get crowded quick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small, so they don't have a lot of seating on the inside but there's more seating outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a bit pricey though, so I don't see myself coming frequently.

Bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese on an everything bagel
Josh R.

I've given this place a few tries, but it's only okay. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese with cheddar cheese on an Everything bagel. It was $10.72 which is a little steep. They only have turkey bacon. The everything bagel itself didn't have much flavor. There are better bagel places on the Upper East Side.

Cute new spot! Average star rating because it was a nice average experience. I commonly frequent PickABagel and H&H Bagels so I'm comparing B&B to them. PickABagel is the same price and gives double the filling on bagels (tuna salad on a bagel) so there's that. Nice taste though, good toast on the onion bagel. H&H has a more extensive menu and choices like Pork Roll (aka Taylor Ham) etc. Staff was friendly! Nothing crazy different or special on the menu but a nice average new clean spot in the UES :)

Chewy and well-seasoned bagels, tasty cream cheese, and a nice ratio - what more can I ask for? The toasted everything bagel I got was super chewy with lots of seasoning. Sometimes everything bagels can be under or over seasoned with the salt but this one was pretty good. I paired it with the lox cream cheese which was pretty strong with its salmon flavors in addition to the smoked salmon pieces. They were pretty generous with their cream cheese but wasn't an overwhelming amount. The ratio of bagel to cream cheese was also great and appropriate for me! Took a bite of my partner's wheat bagel with scallion cream cheese which was very solid too! They offer a pretty wide range of bagels and cream cheeses as well as other sandwiches and snacks. They limited seating inside but a good amount of outdoor seating. Our bagels took a little longer than expected but it was a busy morning on a weekend and the staff gave us a heads up/apologized. Definitely one of my fav bagel places in the UES!

I've been clamoring - CLAMORING - for a place like this in the Upper East Side. Most Asian…read morerestaurants in this neighborhood are fancy sit-downs, so it was exciting to see a quick, casual stop for Asian "finger food" (for a lack of better word) within my vicinity. Joju specializes in modern Vietnamese cuisine, serving meals like bahn mi, loaded fries, and rice meals. The menu recently added soy garlic wings, and since I am a fiend for Asian-style fried chicken, I of course had to have it. While all of the beverages looked tempting, especially their non-alcoholic soju refreshers, I needed caffeine to offset the afternoon slump that was about to follow, so I ordered a Vietnamese coffee. The wings were huge! It was notably crunchy, saucy, and juicy. There was a decent skin to meat ratio, (I so hate biting into a mouthful of breading), and the meal came out piping hot. It was clear the chicken had been fried per order. Those who know me know that I can't live without rice and would eat it with almost any meal, including fried chicken, so I did request it on the side, although the wings don't come with it. The man who took my order did me a solid and served it with mine, anyway. Good lad! I've been wanting to try Vietnamese coffee for a while now, and it was everything I imagined it would be. Sweet with a bitter backend - but not too bitter! I'm still new to coffee, and I pucker up at anything too intense. This was just right. My meal at Joju satisfied me, mind, body, and soul. I hope it is here to stay, and I hope that a shop like this is a catalyst for other quick Asian food stops to follow. Korean and Filipino restaurants - I'll be waiting!

As for the restaurant it was Bright, Modern with a clean vibe despite a B grade: place is super small and I was fortunate to get a table. Better for takeout. I will come back to sample more of their fare. Great for a quick nosh or to pick up dinner on the way home from work.

There was a line, of course, there always is, and the wait was longer than what we were willing to endure for fare as simple and as common as a sandwich. It was worth the 20-minute wait. We ordered the Milano special, packed with cold meats, tomatoes, pickled peppers, cheese, and lettuce between two soft sesame rolls. It looked magnificent. It tasted magnificent. It was a sandwich to rule all sandwiches. I'd brave the line for that any day.

Proscuitto burtata (amore) - fresh fresh fresh and quality ingredients. The proscuitto was perfect along with the burrata, arugula and balsamic glaze on ciabatta which was sweet mix. We were deciding on this one and the proscuitto tomato but we are glad we got this one! 2. Chicken caesar salad wrap- I think I could easily say this is the best caesar salad wrap i've had. The dressing was light and not overpowering with the mix of the chicken, croutons and outside wrap was a truly stellar combination. Very fresh and wasnt soggy one bit. the cookies: small black n white cookie, rainbow cookie and chocolate sprinkle and all were hits! my favorite was the black n white because the icing melts right off the soft cookie texture and tastes more like a cake than a cookie. All were amazing and is a must try when visiting. absolutely rec when you're on the east side!

I was pleasantly…read moresurprised to find out they had a location in New York City, so I obviously had to give it a try. There are a few locations, but I decided to visit this one because it was the most convenient for getting to and from home. I got there around 7:00 PM, which felt a little close to closing time since Google said they close at 9:00 PM, but it wasn't busy at all. In fact, I was only the third customer to place an order. I ordered the La Summer sandwich and added pesto. After sitting down and taking my first bite, I immediately understood the hype. Without a doubt, this is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a very long time. I'm not even a huge sandwich person when it comes to subs and deli meats, but everything tasted incredibly fresh. The ingredients paired together perfectly, and you could still taste each one individually. The only thing I'd change next time is the meat. I had no idea prosciutto was a type of ham, but honestly, it didn't even taste like ham to me. It was sliced paper-thin, slightly salty, and worked surprisingly well with everything else. Next time, though, I'll probably add salami just to see how it compares. Overall, this sandwich was a solid 10/10, and I will absolutely be back--whether it's to try a different sandwich or, if we're being honest, order the exact same one again with salami added. I will say it's on the expensive side, but that's New York City for you. Apparently, all of the ingredients are flown in from Italy. After tax and tip, I paid a whopping $28 for a single sandwich. That said, it was incredibly filling and definitely kept me satisfied. The workers were also really nice and accommodating, and the indoor seating was beautiful. The atmosphere felt like a fancy Italian café, complete with couches and artwork throughout the space. I wish I had taken pictures, but honestly, I was too busy enjoying what might be the best sandwich I've had in years.
