The local New York bagel shop located right next to my hotel. So naturally, I had to check it out. I had a toasted sesame seed bagel with scallion lox cream cheese. They have one of the largest cream cheese cases I've ever seen! They even offer tofu cream cheese options. There's also a small case of some of your favorite deli cookies. I had friends visiting from out of town, one of which had never had a New York bagel, so the stakes were high coming in here. I almost had us all make the trek to one of the bagel spots you always see rated highly on social media (Liberty Bagels, Ess-a-Bagel, you know the types) but it was freezing and we were starving and Pio Bagel had decent ratings, so we took a chance. The gamble paid off. Bagels here were so good we got a second round of them. The everything bagels here don't skimp on seasoning and were fluffy and filling. There are a ton of cream cheese options - we wanted something spicy so went with the jalapeno cheddar and jalapeno scallion on our bagels which we split up. First, this location is so convenient! Short walk from the subway & despite it being a weekend morning, there wasn't a long line & I was able to eat in! Second, I was confused about the lack of line because WOW what a yummy bagel! I ordered an Egg Everything with Jalapeño Scallion CC (2 of my favorite CC in 1 so I was stoked) & the texture was great, flavor on point, and overall experience was seamless!
