This is seriously one of the best bagel spots I had while visiting the Times Square area. I just landed in the city after an early morning flight and was definitely craving a NYC bagel. I opted to order both the bacon egg and cheese and the sausage egg and cheese. I got one on a jalapeno bagel and the other on plain, and honestly - both were delicious! The BEC had a nice kick with the jalapeno and the bagel was perfectly steamed. There was very little bacon in comparison, so I would just want a couple more slices there since there was quite a big of egg. However, the SEC honestly won. The sausage to egg ratio was perfect and the bagel, being plain, didn't overpower it at all. It was a decent size and kept me satisfied until lunch! I'd definitely visit again.

Convenient location near Port Authority and no crazy lines. The inside gives a local cozy feel and the staff was friendly. Limited seating and no restroom. The menu has lots of bagels, breakfast items, desserts, and light lunch items. Picked up a variety of bagels to have the next morning. The bagels were massive. They felt a bit too dry/chewy for my liking despite toasting them. Perhaps they are good when you have them fresh but won't last beyond that? The cookies and wrapped desserts looked nice. Perhaps I'll try that next time.

I saw Pio Bagel's high Yelp rating and decided to give it a try. I was their first customer, at 7:00 AM. The shop is not large, but they have a vast selection of bagel spreads, and ordered a Breakfast Burrito Wrap (Cajun chicken, sautéed beans, eggs, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and guacamole). This Burrito was cut in half, nicely wrapped, very filling, and I enjoyed every bite. The staff was friendly, prepared everything fresh, you could see your items being prepared, and I was impressed with this business. I will definitely return to Pio Bagel, in order to try those delicious looking bagel spreads and recommend it to every Yelper.

Very nice local bagel place. As a tourist, I can't say whether or not this accurately represents a true nyc bagel but for my first nyc bagel, I'd say it's pretty tasty. The total for 4 people came out to 45$ w/o tax (3 bagels w eggs, breakfast burritos, and 2 coffees). They have a wide range of options and is pretty easy to order. The seating is just stools and counters.

Kudos to Pio Bagel because ur was open on December 25th Christmas day The service was great and fast, the people speak english and Spanish! The space is small but you can definitely find a seat in between or to stay away from the cold of the city! I liked their bacon scallion but I wouldn't order the pio bagel again, felt it was just a plain bagel. Is a great spot for a quick bagel!

This is the ONLY BAGEL SPOT you need to check out while you're visiting times square! This place is so underrated, given their variety of cream cheeses and generous portions! Service was so friendly and welcoming. I'm no bagel expert but the lady was very nice at explaining what options they have and how I could order what I had pictured in my head. I got their lox supreme with jalepeno cream cheese on a rainbow bagel. Generous portion of lox (smoked salmon) and the cream cheese had a nice hint of jalepeno! Definitely the best bagel I had! The rainbow bread is also nicely toasted, got a good crunch! Very casual spot, I was able to sit down and enjoy my bagel.

Small iced vanilla latte Cuban on an everything bagel

Only planned on getting my an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. But saw the sign for a Cuban and had to add that to my order. Was also needing some coffee so went with a vanilla iced latte. The Cuban was outstanding. I had it on an everything bagel which I was skeptical of. The bagel did make it a little hard to eat but the ham and pork were so good it didn't matter what bread it was on definitely worth 12.95. The scallion cream cheese was the perfect balance of lots of scallions and cream cheese. The iced latte was too dark for me, but I'm a coffee wuss. Two Splenda made it much more palatable. The cafe itself is small with a few bar seats. But even at 1pm it was pretty crowded. There are a ton of bagel shops in the area, but I'll definitely be coming back here.

A barrage of various cream cheeses in the display to choose. The Pio Bagels are very good.

Pio Bagel is another glorious shop in New York that produces great bagels. I applaud their ingenuity with the Pio Bagel, which had bacon, jalapeño, and scallions baked into it. It was quite glorious and grand, toasted and served with bacon and jalapeño shmear and nova salmon. It was incredibly satisfying with the iced coffee. Pio Bagel is also a great bagel shop that doesn't have a crazy line from the counter to the front door. Granted, we went on a Sunday at 9 am, so the crowds may not have been showing up yet. But I found we didn't wait long to give our order and receive it. Additionally, I liked looking at the various cream cheeses prepared behind the window display. The next time I am in New York and visit, I would like to order multiple bagels with the various cream cheeses so I can full enjoy myself with the flavors of life. There is both table seating and high-top seating in the shop. Not a lot, but certainly spaces if available to sit and enjoy your food, do your work on the laptop if you have one. It's a cool local spot on 9th Avenue, just around the block from some hotels like the one we were staying at and the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Had a bagel craving while in NYC for work and stopped into Pio Bagel since it was right around the corner from my hotel on 39th between 8th and 9th. As a Jersey native, I've missed real bagels, and this place definitely hit the spot. First thing I noticed, no crazy line, which was awesome for Midtown. The staff was super friendly, moved quickly, and my order was ready in about five minutes. There's also some seating inside, which is rare for a bagel spot in this area. I went with two bagels (was starving): a bacon & cheese on an everything, plus an asiago with chive cream cheese. Also grabbed an iced coffee. Total came out to just over $20, not bad at all for Midtown. Coffee was solid, and both bagels were phenomenal. The asiago + chive combo especially stood out. Overall, great bagel shop with quick service, friendly staff, and tasty options. Definitely a spot I'd come back to next time I'm in the city.

This location definitely stays busy! We arrived on a Friday morning around 9:30 and we're fortunate enough to get our order in, but it was a constant revolving door of customers! They do have some general seating but they are barstool type seating. As one can imagine they fill in very quickly. They have a variety of offerings from breakfast sandwiches to plain bagels as well as a variety of creamcheese. My husband got the asiago cheese bagel with egg, bacon and cheddar cheese. He said it was very good. I got the plain bagel with plain cream cheese and avocado. Again delicious

Nice authentic NY deli right around the corner from our hotel in midtown. We grabbed breakfast to-go and a half-dozen for friends at home before we headed to the airport. They were prompt and friendly. There are SO many choice of cream cheese which I wasn't used to but was so glad I chose scallion and jalapeno for my everything bagel - yum! Nothing like a NY bagel...is it the water? Doesn't matter - these were exactly what I was craving, plus the generous slathering of schmear was heavenly. They packaged my half dozen great in paper then plastic bags - it survived a whole day of travel yet wasn't stale!

Great little bagel shop in the city. I was in town for a tradeshow and on my way tot he tradeshow I stumbled on this bagel shop Selections of bagel 5/5 I order the garlic bagel and it was heavily garlicky which was perfect for me Shear 2/5 I got the vegetable smhmear and it was good until I got a few bites of fizziness. Now sure if it was sitting too long but it felt a little fermented or a little bad. Service 5/5 quick Ambiance 5/5 has seats and a great grab and go

Egg Bagel with Lox Supreme and onion bagel with sausage egg cheese
    Audrey R.

it's very important to try new bagel places when you have someone to split with - it was late morning on a Sunday and there was no line so that's a win regardless of where we are in the city - the lox sandwich on an egg bagel was delicious. only complaint is not enough cream cheese (on either bagel) but the lox were delicious and piled high. the onions and capers added a solid crunch and twang. tomato's were perfectly ripe and the cucumber was a surprise - the bagels perfectly had a crisp outter shell and chewy inside, they were all a good hefty size but cut so unevenly that one side was giving ... toast! - the gorgeous mounds of fun cream cheese were calling my name so we got a sausage egg and bacon-scallion cream cheese sandwich on an onion bagel. the eggs were clearly just scrambled with a little fluff and a slight burnt (not bad, just real!) taste. the sausage was moist and well seasoned - I was bummed the cream cheese was only on one side of the bagel and a very light smear! sigh. it was def more scallion forward but the bacon added a little saltiness - the first time we ordered they gave me a sandwich with bacon instead of sausage (pictured here) and I let them know (I'm such a Karen) but they handled so fast and well! - for some reason the person next to me eating a pancake platter like...knew what was up. they looked oddly so good for a takeaway bagel joint

I was at this quaint tea shop east of Koreatown earlier in the evening before going to a meal at the excellent new Thai place, Wanglang. The staff was very friendly, and they specialize in matcha, along with having hojicha, genmaicha, black tea, and sencha. Along with more traditional drinks, they also have fruit options as well as black sugar jelly (I presume kuromitsu) and a Japanese citrus that's not seen much here, hyuganatsu. Along with the citrus, this place is rather unique as they had three different matcha options in terms of variety. As I tend to prefer teas pure and without add-ons, I ordered the Matcha Americano, which is simply matcha and water. I went with the 12-oz version for $6 + tax and ordered the Hajime, though I would likely get the Fuku No Midori next time based on descriptions online. The matcha was solid and had a mild sweetness and a light earthiness. However, it lacked some of the mouth coating found in very high-quality drinks from Sorate or Setsugekka, while being similar in price. Still, that is comparing to some of the best, and this was still very tasty and a lot better than 90% of the places in the city, being more comparable to Kettl. I wouldn't mind going back and ordering the other matcha varietal to see whether that is a better comparison. Outside of this, I enjoyed my drink, and the staff was friendly. I hope they do well.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
