I've known this establishment for way too long. B&B is a community stronghold for those wishing to bust their gut in this donut crazed world. As of late B&B has raised their prices and failed to modernize their establishment. Donuts are no longer 50 cents like they used to be. Rather they are nearing the dollar, if not more mark, for nothing special. Many doughnut places now boast a competitive menu or edge by offering unique types and flavors. Not these guys. You'll find a lot of blue collar workers rolling through, and at this rate, paying too much for their terrible coffee and mediocre bites. I'm sorry to say this place has gone downhill, from rude customer service to quality of donuts. I don't know what happened, and it's very sad to see. I'm sure workers are paid next to nothing, but there used to be a charm about this place. I've been coming here for 30 years. This place doesn't need a half-hazard fix-up, it' needs a whole redo from corner table to ingredients. I have tried hard to note the charms and lower-than-average prices, but I can only tolerate so much. I hope this place becomes better over time as it may face closure at this rate. read more

So I was feeling like a donut, it was a Sunday about 9am. Yes, I know that's late to get donuts if you want a good selection. I come to this place, and selection is low, but I wanted to bring donuts home to my family. I asked the lady behind the counter for a dozen donuts please. Her response is," I don't think there's enough, sorry". So, I look again, count if I get two of each flavor, it'll make a dozen. So once again I ask for a dozen donuts please. She again says no, she can't sell me a dozen and apologizes. I was baffled...why wouldn't a store owner not want to sell their product, and just make more...especially when they're $14 a dozen???? Classic corner donut shop. We stopped by late one weekday evening because I was craving donut holes. Because of the late hour they didn't have anymore donut holes but the owner was so apologetic that when we ordered some other donuts he threw in an extra glazed donut because it was the closest he had to a donut hole. The other donuts we ordered were great and he didn't have to do that but it was definitely appreciated. read more

i am incredibly upset with the new owners. i have been coming here for over 20 years since high school and i had the worst experience today coming in to get my usual order. the lady in the front wife of the owner that works their as well got my order down. i always tell her the same order everytime i am here but today she got so upset cause i wanted extra creamer. she was arguing with me for so long that she put it in but i clearly told her i like extra cream in it. i was so upset about how she was talking to me that i told her i said forget it i do not want this as i am leaving she throws the whole thai ice tea as my back is turned walking out the door. she got it all over my brand new jacket and on my hair and feet. then she started saying foul words and using her middle finger as i am walking to the car. she almost looked like she was about to hit me i got really scared and ran to my car. i should take legal action because that is harassment and she as a business owner should not be throwing thai ice tea on clients period. and especially the fsct that she knows i am a long time customer was really unprofessional of her to act the way she did and throw thai ice tea on me. they just lost a great customer i would never recommend this place to anyone. i wish there was 0 stars i can give cause the new owners are horrible. read more

It's nearly 4 PM and I'm sitting here eating a ham and cheese croissant and I have a donut twist waiting for me. The place is simple, clean and the owners are friendly. I walked in through the door and instantly the owner came from the back and greeted me. Warmed up my croissant and bagged my donut and was kind enough to toss in some donut holes. The ham and cheese croissant was huge, flakey, and fluffy and filling, the price wasn't bad either! It was under 3 bucks. Let talk donuts now (for the sake of the review I did have to sacrifice my diet -yea right lol) melt in your mouth! They are soft and fresh, wow and this is that remember it's almost 4 PM. Try the cinnamon twist, you wont regret it. I'm one happy customer and will be returning and satisfying more of my pregnancy cravings here. read more

Spotted B & B Donut upon exiting from Cho Dang Tofu House so decided to give it a try. It's a standard donut shop with regular selection of donuts. During these situations I tend to procrastinate a lot but the lady behind the counter was very patient. I finally decided to go with the basics so got a simple chocolate iced donut along with a chocolate bar (75c each). I was almost done but then I saw that they had cronuts which looked pretty good for a very reasonable price of $1.50. In the era of cronuts that go for 6 bucks a pop, I decided to get a simple glazed cronut. In the comfort of my car I started with a bite of the chocolate iced donut - not good - supermarket quality, then went on to a bite of the chocolate bar - same result. This was turning out to be a flop show. Anyway expecting the worst I dug into the cronut - not bad, no in-fact pretty good. Layers of light flaky dough fried to perfection. No lumpy or doughy feeling. This cronut would give their gourmet cousins a run for their money so the cronut saved the day for B & B Donuts :) read more

Ham and cheese croissants are the best here! One time, we came here after going out clubbing and the owner says the ham and cheese croissants would be out the oven soon. So we waited for about 20 min and oh my god. They were so good fresh! Usually the croissant gets kinda flat and deflated (not a sign of a bad ham and cheese croissant-- there's just no other way bc the heat and moisture from the ham and cheese suck the pastry in), but the fresh, ones were nice and fluffy. Omg I am laying in bed hungry right thinking about food and started craving a ham and cheese croissant and thought of this place. Thus the review. Donut holes here are good too! It's ok. We go because it's close. But the workers there aren't the best. They are friendly, but just not all 'there'. Two instances: First, I go and ask for 1 old fashioned chocolate and 1 old fashion glazed. The worker goes and brings me back a chocolate buttermilk. Close, but not the same. So I say, "no, glazed old fashioned". Gives me the bag with two donuts. Silly me...I don't check the bag until I get home. My wife is sad..."don't you know my favorite donut?" I'm like...what do you mean? Look in the bag: one chocolate old fashion and one glazed donut. Sigh. Number two: Go there at night looking for coffee and a donut. This place is practically open 24 hours. Sometimes my friends go there and hang out until sunrise playing cards. They have a spacious sitting area but no public bathroom. Although they make a wide selection of donuts, they are a bit too dry, but it could be because they've been sitting out for a while, since I've only ever been here at night. My last visit was close to midnight on a Thursday. On my way home on the 91, I decided to pick up a box of donuts for my co-worker. This place is just off the 91 and Norwalk, so it was a convenient stop. They were open, but no one was at the front of the shop. As I entered the store, I made a disturbing discovery. The TV was on, which faced away from the customer's view, and from the sound of it...let's just say it's something that shouldn't be watched in a place of business. I turned and left right away. I used to come here all the time back when I was still in high school. To be honest I didn't really frequent this place because of the donuts, but more for the iced coffee. The iced coffee here is a good alternative to all you S_BUCKS addicts who are looking for a cheap caffeine fix. I've had a couple of the donuts here and they're all right. Not amazing. Although the apple fritter here is probably the best I've had at this place. Overall this joint is all right. Parking is a bit complex and the plaza has a lot of in/out going traffic. read more

I really like how it is open practically 24/7, which makes it a great place to chill late at night or if you need to pull an all-nighter studying. their donuts are good enough, you should just try to catch them when they just make fresh donuts. Prices are very competitive but I have been discriminated against once. I stepped into this shop before a white guy but the saleslady chose to greed and served the white guy first. The donuts here are always fresh and delicious. It is your standard donut shop, kind of small and a few tables inside. Most donuts are about .75 and they also serve iced coffee, croissants and a few types of sandwiches. Every type of donut I have gotten here has tasted soft and fresh like they were just made. read more

I donut why people are complaining about the people being weird; it's a donut shop that's open 24 hours. Enough said. I've only picked up donuts from here early before work, so they taste pretty fresh and fluffy. I usually prefer the chocolate bars and the chocolate frosting or whatever is just enough - not too thick and sugary but a nice thin crispy layer of it. I know it's just another mom and pop donut shop, but it's one of the better ones that I've encountered during my lifetime. A great selection of donuts and they even have a crumb cinammon swirl donut (blending of my favorite two kinds of donuts). I've been here numerous times and each time, I've been satisfied with my purchases. Their donuts are very soft and tasty and always taste like they came fresh from the oven. They also have a good selection of drinks and a variety of other items such as sandwiches, croissants, and lottery tickets. Another great thing about B & B are the very friendly people who work there. I always try to stop and grab a donut or two every time i'm in the area. I needed a late night pick me up, so I stopped by. Sad to see they were out of donut holes, and glazed twists, and though they were making more donuts, these were not on the to-be-served list. I picked up the next best thing, only to find that I was merely biting into a stale donut that tasted like oil. Because they're walking distance to my house and my mom drinks their coffee every once in a while (and they're open 24 hours), I was willing to give them chance after chance, but it's proving a waste of time and money when you put time and money into a poor product. I went there early in the morning thinking I would able to get a donut and juice. I walked in to look at the donuts to see which one I wanted but instead I saw what looked like a mosquito or some type of bug flying around where the donuts were and when I told the lady you have a bug in there she just brushed it off like it was nothing. I used to come to this place before but now I will find another location to get my donuts. So unless people like having bugs in their donuts I strongly suggest another place to go. Also, not very good customer service I understand it's early in the morning but I think a "good morning" would be nicer than "what do you want." read more

I moved here from the East Coast and I have stopped by every little donut shop I have come across in the hopes that one would carry the white cream filling I grew up with. This is the only one out of probably over 2 dozen that actually carries it, white cream filled maple glazed donut....mmmm.....maple....don't knock it til youve tried it. Their muffins are nice and moist, I'm not a fan of muffins but these are good especially the blueberry. I moved to Whittier recently and now every so often I still drive out of my way just to have that donut. They are very nice, even offered to have it prepared ahead of time for me if I call ahead...too bad the phone number doesn't work anymore. read more
