Also got connected with this company via my home warranty company. I had to call them directly and leave several voicemails before I got a call back. Jose did show up to my home eventually to fix our bathroom fan. He was here for less than five minutes, stating that the motor was broken and that he would take it with him, repair it, then come back and reinstall it. It's been more than 30 days since he's been here. I never heard from them again. I've left voicemails and called but with no response after many attempts I just eventually gave up. They ghosted me completely. I called my home warranty company back and asked for another serviceman to come out. I recommend Alejo electric to anyone who needs attentive and fast service. i'm wondering if perhaps the home warranty referrals dont generate enough income for them so they put them lower on the priority list. I get that. But going forward, this company needs to give customers a realistic timeline for repairs and stick to it. read more

I was referred to this company by my home warranty company, Old Republic. As per the email notification from Old Republic, B&B Electric would call me to schedule an appointment within 1 business day. However, I was advised that I could call them directly if I wanted faster service. I have now left 2 voicemail messages with no response (we are now past regular business hours so I'm not going to be getting a call back today). I cannot wait to have B&B call me back whenever they feel like it. I asked Old Republic to reassign my case to another company. read more

Note: there is neither an address nor website listed on B&B's business card. I came in contact with B&B via my home warranty company. I had a wall of outlets that was no longer working. Jose looked around for hour and said he could not figure out the problem without ceiling access. I then created a framed opening as as directed and called them back. I left 3 messages over the course of a week. No one returned my calls. I called a 4th time and Jose's wife answered. Second appointment, more troubleshooting, but Jose would not climb into the ceiling access and said he would need to return when he "had more time". Again I had to call to follow up for a third visit, leaving 3 messages before I got someone live on the 4th try. Because they could not give me a specific time when he could arrive, she told me she would call me call me when he was available. I requested 1/2 hour advanced notice so I could drive the 15 miles from work to meet him. I arrived 25 minutes later to find Jose's card on my door. When I called his wife she basically said I did not arrive soon enough, even though had previously assured me the 1/2 window was OK. So after 3 fruitless appointments and anguish, I called my home warranty company and demanded a new contractor. They then referred me to Scott of Illumeffects. (see review). Scott arrived precisely as scheduled, climbed into the ceiling access area and figured out/fixed the problem in 15 minutes (see review of Illumeffects). B&B apparently did not want to get their hands dirty and milked the system with 3 unproductive visits. I obviously do not recommend using B&B to even change a lightbulb. read more

I'm not sure why the bad reviews because Jose was great! Showed up with a mask, and kept his distance at all times. We had half the house without electricity and working electrical outlets. Jose inspected several outlets, the circuit breakers and fixed everything within 20 minutes. Just the basic service charge. He was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about what happened and even told us how to fix the problem if it happened again. We asked him about upgrading our system and he said, you don't need to do that. Completely professional, safe, kind, knowledgable and very reasonable charge..what else do you want? We are really happy that we now have a go-to electrician if we ever need one again. And Kathy was very accomodating by getting us on the schedule right away and was super helpful and nice. It is rare when a service technician leaves your house and puts a smile on your face the rest of the day, but he did it. Thanks Jose and Kathy for providing awesome customer service...so tough to come by these days. read more

I was forced to continue to wait for this contractor by my home warranty company. He did finally show up but was unable to fix my issue. He stated he would contact my warranty company to get a replacement fixture. The following afternoon he still had not contacted the warranty company. B and B electric continues to be a zero. This company is very unprofessional. They would not return calls nor set up appointments for small jobs. Many times, the appointment would be cancelled because "Jose is sick". Once, we thought he looked tired and had been working for a few hours, my husband told me to make him a sandwich. So, we told him to sit down and take a break and eat while we talked (non-business) with him. He charged us for all that time he spent with us. My husband is such an angel to keep giving him a chance. But after many no-shows and no-calls returned, he finally agreed that this company is not worth our time. read more

My house had electrical problems. One of the circuit breakers was not working well and some electrical outlets need to be repaired. I called my home protection warranty company Old Republic for repairs. They assigned the job to an electrician but that person did not care to take the job. I called Old Republic again and complained. They assigned the work to another electrical contractor B&B Electric. I am glad they did. Kathy of B&B Electric was very responsive. She called right away and told me that the electrician Jose would be able to perform the repairs the very same day. Jose came on time and replaced the circuit breaker and tied up the wiring of 4 electrical outlets. In my opinion, B&B Electric is the best electrician that I have ever used. They are very responsive and professional. I would not hesitate to use their service again and refer them to my friends in the future. read more

Jose and Kathy were great to work with. The initial coordination with Kathy required a bit of back and forth. But once we scheduled the visit by Jose things went smoothly. Over the phone we made sure that Jose was clear on the job requirements (new 240 V outlet in garage for electric car). This step went well and Jose was also helpful in educating me in what parts I required to get the job done. As a result, his on-site visit went seamlessly with the job complete in 3 hours and a good deal of savings resultant compared to other referred electricians. Great experience! read more

I would give this business zero stars if that was an option. B & B Electric (Concord, Ca) is owned/managed by "Jose" and "Kathy." I was referred to this company by my insurance company. "Jose" came made the service call to repair my ceiling fan (not working). He did a good evaluation and explained the problems to me. At the end of the visit, he informed me that his report to the insurance company would be to replace the fan. Due to the age of the fan, parts are no longer available. He stated that he would let me know the next steps the next day. After two days I called the office 925-829-4110, and requested a status report of the repairs. After 6 days I called again and left at message on the office phone. As of the writing of this review day 7, I still have not received a response (phone, email, or text) from this vendor. The most alarming part of this story is that "Jose" reported to my insurance company that the fan works perfectly well and that the problem is with the light fixture. The insurance company does not replace light fixtures. Therefore, I am left with an inoperable fan due to the double messages "Jose" gave to the insurance company and to me. This company has demonstrated unethical and unresponsive behaviors. I don't like to write review like this but I would not want another customer to experience this deception. I hope they will rectify the situation. read more
