Then he suggested that for safety reasons it was better to install a new fixture, and it would be the same price. He met me at Home Depot and recommended which fixture was best for my old Victorian. I have to start by saying although we did not hire them (explain why) I am glad I contacted them. I originally sent out a message as I didn't know why half of my kitchen outlets had stopped working. I think Precision Electric is perhaps overbooked and maybe that's causing problems. This review isn't consistent with his other positive reviews. We first scheduled work for about a month out. I didn't mind because I wasn't in a rush. The day before they were supposed to come out, I called to confirm, and they didn't even have it on the schedule. Later Mark confirmed that he had the job in his records but it didn't make it to his calendar. He apologized. We rescheduled, Jason and Josh came out and did a wonderful job. Mark admitted in a text to me "Sorry if I sound frustrated but the workload has been extremely difficult to deal with". Throughout, the job he complained about various issues. At the end of the job, I had a check ready to pay him (the workers couldn't accept the check for him). Mark didn't show up with the bill. He emailed me the bill the next day and followed up with a text and voicemail further complaining about the difficulties of the job and how I should have selected one option of recessed lights rather than the second option. He went on further to say how my selection was so outdated. Very unprofessional. I'm happy with the work and the results but not with the process of getting there. read more

I just had a job finished by Precision Electric and they did exactly what I asked for at a very reasonable price. I had a transfer panel put in that allows me to use a portable lithium power station that powers up to four areas in my home using the transfer panel, during power outages. They also fished a solar wire from the office next to the transfer panel, through the attic to where it will connect outside to solar panels on the roof. We tested the Goal Zero Yeti connected to the new transfer panel and it worked flawlessly. Now when the power goes out I won't have extension cords running throughout the house powering my refrigerator, microwave, t.v. internet wifi, and office for working at home (which is very important). I will be up and running from one emergency power source. In the pictures I did not ask them to install outlet boxes for the solar cables, I will do that myself later. I recently hired Mark to place brand new recessed LED lighting throughout my home, and relocate 2 outlets in my kitchen for a remodel project. Mark came in person to give me a very fair quote and was able to schedule the work in the time frame I needed. On the day of installation, he showed up on time and spent a great deal of care and time mapping out grid patterns in my rooms so that the lighting would be evenly spread throughout each room. Mark and a team member then spent the day installing 14 recessed lights throughout the house (this included some crawling around in the attic space to get everything perfect). He also relocated my outlets in the kitchen exactly as I had requested - and very cleanly. The difference the LEDs made in my home was immediate! They look amazing! Mark also hooked everything up to new Lutron dimmers so that every room could be controlled. Over the course of my remodel, I had to call Mark to see if he had time to move one more outlet and a switch in my guest bathroom as they were not high enough for the new backsplash being installed. He made time in his busy schedule and showed up the same day so that my countertop guys could finish. He also came out one last time to repair a ceiling fan that was incorrectly installed by someone else. Awesome! We needed to get an EV wall charger installed in our garage, and we found Precision Electric here on Yelp. Mark replied to my voicemail within the day I called and he was able to come out the next business day to look at our electrical box and where we wanted the charger located. He gave us some ideas on what may work for the positioning of it, and could tell us about cost differences, and answered a lot of questions we had about our options. Later that day he gave us an estimate through email, and after I got the wall charger, he was able to fit us relatively quickly into his busy schedule since we were flexible. The day of the work he had two other workers with him- and they were all very nice, worked very quickly and left the place very clean and the installation looks great, and works great.
