I have to say B&B Roofing and Siding absolutely lives up to their reputation in both scheduling and work quality especially. My two car garage took on serious storm damage back in August. I already had an initial quote for repairs, but my insurance company wanted a second one. Not having dealt with an insurance claim I really didn't know where to start. It was important for me to ensure that I find a company that will get the work done, correctly. Based on multiple positive reviews I called to receive an estimate. Laurie was just great. She took her time, answered all my questions and laid out how they will get the repairs done. Then she scheduled our inspection/estimate. Pawel (Paul) came to the house to survey the damages. I was at work and my wife was at home. Pawel took his time, let my wife get me on the phone and answered all our questions. Pawel is a true gentleman and was very respectful of our time and property. I had a detailed estimate within 48 hours of Pawel's departure. Of course, waiting on the insurance company to go through their internal process was a pain, but Laurie maintained contact and did not pressure us in getting them there any sooner. As soon as our settlement was in Laurie was able to get us right onto the schedule. On the day of work the B&B Siding Team showed up at 7:45am with an army. Needed an entire new roof w/ shingles and rafter/structure/soffit and siding repairs. 6.5 hours later and I had a new roof! Weather delayed the gutter team but they again showed up as rescheduled and both Pawel and Laurie kept me apprised every step of the way. I have a full enclosed gutter and Pawel made sure the gutter install team was aware of that. Money well spent! It's always nerve racking when a stranger makes a suggestion, but B&B roofing were very kind, quick, and reliable. They provided information through the entire process including how to best prepare, specific and accurate time of arrival, and safety precautions. My roof had THREE layers which was a huge mess. Siding review Many boards of siding came off of my house after we got a very violent wind storm a couple months ago. My house is 1 year and 4 1/2 months old. This company was contracted by 139 Alvin LLC to build 84 homes in this new community. A few months after we moved in we noticed the ceiling paint started to wrinkle. We called this company, they came out, and the technician found a hole which he siliconed up. Months later the Nor Easter hits NYC. We ended up getting water damage to the ceiling in the same area as the wrinkle prior. I called them out 4 times in total. They inspected the over hang or half roof as you see in the pictures. He changed the flashing on it, siliconed the window above the overhang but they would NOT CHECK UNDER THE SHINGLES. Now the only time water gets into the house is when it's high winds and stormy type of rain. The only way I could simulate it to make sure the problem was fixed after replacing the flashing is to use my water hoes. Water still found it's way in. The technician determined it to be the window. I begged him to check under the shingles to make sure it's not the roof. I got push back. I spoke to the owner of the company Kamil and asked him to have the technician to come and rip the shingles out. Again, push back. The last correspondence I had with the owner was through an email begging and pleading to rip the shingles off and check underneath before breaking brick to replace the window because the tech guy believed that's where the problem was. No response. Totally ignored. After taking the interior Sheetrock, insulation, and baseboard out from under the window there was no evidence of water coming from the wood that is underneath the window which is behind the Sheetrock. Water only showed itself at the baseboard whenever I watered the roof for 30 minutes or more. It's been almost 5 months I've been living like this with my floors covers to protect the wood and more then half my furniture stored in a separate bedroom. I haven't heard from anyone from this company in at least 4 weeks. There's still a hole in my ceiling and a missing wall in my bedroom with no insulation. Would I recommend this company to anyone? A crack skyline needed to be replaced but no leak so I've consulted several roofers and Steve from B&B were pretty courteous and responsive at first. A simple fix of the skyline ended up to be a entire roof renovation which cost $11k including the balcony. The skyline was not finished the way it supposed to be and after complaints, it was done correctly. Then the ceiling leaks afterward, they came inspected couple time and said the vent pipe was missing a cap so I hired a contractor took care of it and it still leaks. So they came up with another excuse about the bathroom vent pipe was disconnected so the rain did not go to the drain instead to the attic and it was disconnected within the house which my house do not have attic access cause it's sealed off (which mean there was no attic). It was eventually fixed (hopefully), but left the ceiling with awful stains and every now and then when it rains, we have to keep our eyes on it cause it just look like it's gonna leak again. Now comes the balcony part, it never stop when it rains. Water dripping everywhere and they did tried to have it done the right way but I hated to say, it doesn't work and still leaks. With the aforementioned Steve, he only showed up once when we got the quote and promised to come in person for inspections but never to be seen again. B & B Siding is one of a very few companies that is honest and knows what customer service is, knows how to do a job correct the first time and has some of the best employees. B & B's workers are friendly, polite, clean. I have had the honor and the pleasure of meeting Kamil, Lorry and Paul through various jobs that I needed to have preformed for me on my home in Staten Island, NY. I have had my house sided by another company that didn't honor their work and one year later I had to find a "Reputable" company and that's when I found Kamil of B & B Siding. A neighbor of mine told me to call him and give him a shot. Boy was I glad I took my neighbors advice over 6 years ago. Kamil came out and took at look at the job that was performed and told me up front that if I wanted my house to be sided correctly and guaranteed he would have to remove, what wasn't already falling away from the house, the old siding due to the bad job the other company did and then re-side the house properly. The price was super fantastic and so I said go for it. They proceeded with the removal and then installed the new siding and I have not had a single issue with any of the work that was preformed. They cleaned up after theirselves and left my place spotless. My siding still looks like it's brand new. Over the years of owning my home I also needed to have my roof looked at and taken care of and yes, the one and only company I thought of was B & B Siding. I put a call into them, actually texted them and within minutes I received a response with them saying not a problem we will be out by such-and-such time or day and they were here on time. They surveyed my issues with the roof and gave me an awesome price so of course I said go for it. They took care of my roof issue and another job was successfully done for me. During the last wind storm we had which was last week some of the older shingles decided to blow off, mind you, these old shingles were from 15 years ago so I texted B & B and told them my situation and they were out the next morning which happens to be today and is what prompted me to come to Yelp and do this review as I have done reviews of their work on other sites but never on here so I thought why not and so I have my roof all taken care of once again. To show you how much I trust and would recommend B & B Siding, I'm in the process of selling my home and moving to the Poconos for retirement and to be next to family, the first person I contacted was Kamil at B & B Siding and asked him, if we get a home up there and work needs to be done on the siding, the roof or the gutters would his company be able to come up there and do the job for us? I was told that they would in their off time. I was so ecstatic to hear him say yes. Now I know have will have no worries once I'm in my new home. Thank so to an awesome company.... B&B just finished installing a new roof on my house in Fair Lawn NJ. My contact was Pawel K., one of the owners of the company. He gave me a very competitive quote for roof replacement. He was very knowledgeable about roofing since that's all he is doing. Roof job was done in approximately 2 days. He finished the job well and quickly, as promised. Two weeks later, gutter installer noticed a possible small exhaust pipe defect. I called Pawel indicating a possible defect. He showed up the next day and fixed a small defect without any hassle. After many insane quotes from numerous companies including the cost and amount of excessive time it would take to side our house, we found B & B through friends. I cannot say enough positive things about the experience we had with this company. The price was fair, the work was done expertly and the entire job took less than a week. It was hassle free. We highly recommend B&B Siding contractor. We had our entire detach home re-sided and couldn't be more happy with the quality of work. We had several contractors look at the job. B&B Siding was the only contractor that came up with an acceptable solution to replace the siding under the second floor outside staircase that was built too close to the building making it very difficult to replace the siding. In addition, we had recently had a contractor repair the leaky fireplace, which continued to leak. B&B Siding contractors repaired the leak.The workers were neat and pleasant. Very disappointed! I hired them to re-do the siding, capping and gutters on my home. They did and it looks very nice. My first leak started about 4 months after. I spoke with the woman in the office, sent pictures and was told it was not their fault. I insisted someone come and look, the person told me for $385 they could fix it! When they did the new siding it stuck out passed the roof shingles! They should have informed me about it on the spot, they did not. Then they wanted to charge me to fix something that should have been included in the job. Now I have my second leak. I hired another company, when they investigated they found a hole hidden by the capping around my sliding door. When they removed all the capping they saw that caulking under it was barely there! The worker did not caulk, just put up the capping! I did not even bother to call because I am sure it is my fault and they will want to charge me to fix it! Searched for a siding company online & I liked the pics on B&B Siding's website. First time I called a woman sounding frazzled answered the phone which sounded like a cell phone. I explained that I needed an estimate on a housing project. The call dropped, she called back & her phone went dead. I waited a couple of days to call back & she was like "oh yea, you did call. Sorry". I still went ahead & made the appointment. Days later the owner's brother, Paul, came by. He didn't seem very informative. He took measurements & left saying his brother would send me an estimate by email. That was over 10 days ago. I sent Paul a text asking politely for the estimate. The text said he read my message & now it's days later I still haven't heard a word from him or receive an estimate. If I have to chase them for this I could only imagine if I signed a contract what I would have to chase after. I went with another company that was very attentive to what I want/needed. read more
