My boyfriend and I recently picked up shooting as a hobby and we were looking for an indoor range to go to during the winter. One of our friends introduced us to B&T and I'm glad he did! B&T may not be located in the greatest of areas of Lorain, but seriously, you're going to a shooting range and have a gun with you...it will be ok! Get there early or you'll have to wait for a lane, especially on Saturday mornings. We usually get there about thirty minutes before they open and wait outside until they let us in so we don't have to wait. The range has six lanes and can be "rented" by the half-hour. You can also rent guns and ear/eye protection. They will ask for a state ID for lane rental so make sure you bring yours! Their prices for lane rentals are as follows: Monday - Friday One Person Per Stall: $8.00 per 1/2 hour $12.00 per hour Two Person Per Stall: $12.00 per 1/2 hour $18.00 per hour Saturday - Sunday One Person Per Stall: $10.00 per 1/2 hour Two Person Per Stall: $15.00 per 1/2 hour Memberships are available if you plan on going more often. They will run you $250.00 per individual or $300.00 per family. The membership includes: one hour of range time per day, $1.00 off center fire ammo and $7.00 discount off weekly shooting leagues. The store portion of B&T also has a lot to offer. They have a variety of new and used guns for sale as well as a decent stock of ammo, eye/ear protection, targets, cleaning supplies and other accessories. The employees and salesmen are all very knowledgable, helpful and nice. Don't worry if it is your first time...I was so nervous the first time I went because I didn't know what to expect and everyone was very helpful. If you have any questions, just ask! So, if you are looking for an indoor shooting range in the Lorain County area I highly recommend giving B&T a whirl!

This is a great locally owned gun shop that has a small indoor shooting range with 8 stalls. The range is usually pretty busy on the weekends, especially if the weather is bad out. During a weekday, they charge $8 for 30 minutes or $10 if you're sharing a stall with 2 people. On weekends, it's $10 and $12 respectively. Pretty cheap and they have a wide variety of targets to chose from! I do wish that they had a little better ventilation in the range though...those lead fumes aren't good for ya. haha Oh, they also offer yearly club memberships and they do teach CCW courses. The guys that work there are very cool and knowledgeable. Andy is fun to talk to and knows a lot about every gun they carry. This last time he even didn't charge us for range time or the 7 targets we bought! Such a swell guy! I've bought 2 of my guns from them and their prices are very good (way cheaper than Gander Mountain) and they'll match Fin Feather & Fur's prices! They matched their price for the Ruger SR22 that I bought a few years ago. Always try to barter with them to knock $10 or $20 off the price...you never know how much they'll sell it for. With every firearm purchase, you get a card for a free 30 minutes of range time! How about that! Support local businesses and shop at B&T for all of your firearms and accessory needs!

A small shooting range about 8 lanes...shooting down 50 feet with good instructors who enforce gun safety whether you're an amateur or pro.

The clerks and range officers have been super-helpful, giving advice and walking me through simple questions, and the range is always spotlessly clean and the air well filtered. I've taken one class there (pistol cleaning), and it was very hands-on and informational, to the point where I'm absolutely sure that I'm taking more classes on red dots, etc. Also, if you're a liberal (like Yours Truly), it's an admirably politically neutral shop. The other ranges we'd been to were festooned with "Let's Go Brandon" signs and whatnot, but while I'm sure everyone here has their own opinions, they generally just restrict them to guns, which is good. I'm not particularly quiet about my own LGBTQ status, and all I've ever gotten is friendly conversations here. Only ding is that I special ordered a gun from them, and I'm pretty sure they just forgot to call me when it was in, as I had to physically go into the store and ask about it after a three-week delay, at which point the clerk on duty seemed vaguely surprised to find it was in the back. But I'm writing that off as a one-time incident, since everything else has been good; if something else like that comes up, I'll let y'all know.

I have been shooting now for a couple of decades, and this is one of the nicest ranges I have ever been to. River's Edge Tactical (RET) is the newest range that I know of in my area. RET is located on the corner of 252 (Columbia Road) and 303 (Center Road) with the entrance off of Columbia Road. This facility has a large retail space, rifle-rated range space, and a classroom for training courses. One of the best things about RET is they allow customers to bring in their own rifle ammo. The ammo is inspected to ensure it's not AP or has a penetrator core, but this saves the customer from buying overpriced frangible ammo. After signing in and being briefed on how to use the electronic target system, I went through the doors and into the range area. The range was clean and well-lit, though a bit warm temperature-wise. I usually wear a long-sleeve t-shirt since most ranges have fans blowing cool air (which helps keep the shooters cool, circulates gases in the air to help visibility, and minimizes inhaling gases from the firearms). There was airflow to help with the visibility and inhalation issues, but the airflow was pretty warm. It's a minor detail, but if you are like me and typically wear a shirt with longer sleeves, you might want to wear something short-sleeved when visiting RET. The electronic targets were turned off, and I was instructed by the staff to give them a "thumbs up" when I was ready so I would get the full 60 minutes I paid for. Once power to the targets was turned on, the electronic targets were at my command. The targets move out to a maximum of 75 feet. Each stall has plenty of space for you, your firearms, and your equipment (range bag, magazines, etc.). They even have a chair available if you wanted to rest your firearm or elbows on your lane's table. When I was done shooting, I went back into the retail area to pay for my range time. I spoke with the range staff for a while about different pistols, shotguns, rifles, ammunition, and optics, and I was impressed with their general firearms knowledge. They have the ability to order items for customers (firearms, ammunition, etc.), and they had several silencers on hand available for rental. The staff had a good sense of humor and created a welcoming environment. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this range. Its state-of-the-art equipment is some of the best I've ever used, and the range staff are some of the most professional and personable I've dealt with.
