Tuan and BD Towing: Angels in Disguise I can't say enough about the incredible service I received from BD Towing, and especially their driver, Tuan. I found myself in a terrifying situation, stranded in the Caldecott Tunnel during rush hour with a dead car and a wife who was about to become a widow (just kidding, honey!). Car is fine but I ran out of gas *i am an idiot. After calling multiple towing places and 911 but no one showed up, the situation was getting dire. As if by magic, Tuan appeared like a knight in shining armor. Not only did he rescue us from a dire situation, but he went above and beyond by driving us to a gas station and charging us half the price of other quotes. Tuan is a true hero and a shining example of humanity at its best. BD Towing should be incredibly proud to have such a compassionate and skilled employee. Came to pick up my Car which was towed and left unlocked. When I come back and pay for the fees I discover my wallet wasn't where I left it. After calling the police who said they left it where it should've been I double checked but it ended up being stolen. I chose B & D Towing because they were the top rated tow truck on yelp. You can read my other reviews, and that methodology has failed me many times before. I tried the Perfect Pet Salon in Concord for my baby Minna, and it failed me miserably. So stars don't matter. Ethics do. Instinctively the positive reviews of the people who liked this company sold me. My car is a 2018 Honda, and it is an amazing vehicle. However when it came time for me to change my tire, I realized I didn't have the locking lug nut. Normally I can change a tire like a jack rabbit on a date, however without this lug nut I was basically F'd. When faced with the impossible, my obvious choice was to have it towed to the dealer. They answered the phone immediately, and connected me with someone who arrived in less than 10 minutes. He was very thorough and careful with my car. He took my keys and said he would drop it off at Honda and I didn't have to worry. He was right. I would recommend this company hands down for their phone service, their attentiveness, and their customer service. From beginning to end, they know their stuff. We're on a trip from Santa Cruz to upper CA and in about a little over an hour our tire blows. Turns out we caught a metal shard and our tire literally popped in the middle of the highway. This is at 5:30am. We're calling a couple tow trucks in the area that are advertised as open and 24 hours and either they're not answering or say they have no trucks available. We tried B&D, and they answered almost immediately. They got our info and we're at and said we would get a driver to come get us within 30 mins. Exactly at 30 mins (6am), the tow truck arrives and we get our car hooked and towed to the nearest Firestone. We didn't get our drivers name but he was extremely fast and professional. Within a couple minutes he dropped us off at Firestone. 10/10 would recommend. As out of town folks, one of the worst things that could happen happened and at the worst time as well but thanks to B&D, we were able to be on the road in no time! read more

Untrustworthy. They committed to picking up my disabled car. They said they were too busy to do it the day I contacted them, but said they could tow it the following day. I emailed them the details they asked for. The next day I called back and was told they are unwilling to do it because they don't wan't their truck too far from their shop. major concern about this company is that they are willing to charge you $130-$260 a day and on top of that they want to keep your car so that they can sell it off to auction. This company is not a good company to have your vehicle towed in because it's very hard to get your vehicle out. read more

On a rainy morning I was towing a 16ft fully loaded dump trailer with my Ford F250 in Lafayette CA. Coming down a steep slippery somewhat sketchy driveway I lost front steering of the truck and jackknifed it with trailer. Made a call to BD Tow and within 60 minutes tow truck one arrived and another 60 minutes later the medium sized tow truck arrived. Both driver's were able to bring my truck and trailer down the driveway safely to a flat area in the pouring rain. Professional guys that were able to dolly and chain the truck without any damages. read more

This review should be helpful first and foremost to all the Property Managers out there, who are or have been looking for a towing company. If you are a person whose car broke down in the middle of the road, go somewhere else or pray to God for a good service from B&D Towing. Please, save yourselves time and money and find someone else who can provide you with proper towing services. BUT, if you are crazy enough to go with them, this what you will deal with most likely: 1. Dispatcher lacks basic customer skills. Just any dispatcher who works there lacks basic training in the field of customer service. Or the training was provided but they are too lazy to perform with a pleasant demeanor and be professional. 2. Lack of consistency, breaking the rules of agreement and changing their mind, whenever they feel like it. Not only dispatcher will do so, but the drivers as well. 3. They promise they will show up in 20 minutes, they show up after 2 hours. Punctuality is just a common sense these days, when dealing with high quality company. Since they are not a quality company, they lack common sense. 4. They will promise that you will be called back very soon (yeah right), but they DO NOT. You need to call back and remind them, obviously. 5. Forget calling after 9 pm. People sleep on the job over there. But, if it happens for some reason, that they will decide to answer your call, you will be informed that there is nobody available at the moment. But which moment and what time someone will be available to help you? That is up to you to figure out. 6. I wish I had taken their names, so if you really have no choice and for some reason you might need their so called services, make sure you take the names of all employees with whom you might be talking. tl;dr: After a long night of disappointments, B&D Towing came through for us, like a shining star, and we will *definitely* use them again, and refer friends to them! Full story: After leaving a party in Oakland, around midnight, my husband thought something sounded funny with his motorcycle, so we pulled over on the side of the road. After a quick check of the back tire, he determined that it was not safe to ride all the way back to Danville (about 20 miles). I called AAA, having purchased the higher level of membership for exactly this reason (motorcycle towing). They started a ticket, told me it'd be about 45 minutes, and sent me a confirmation text message. After a lot of back and forth, around 2 am, they told me that they didn't have a driver to come get us. It's too far for them to tow us home. Really?! They suggested we call another towing company and submit for reimbursement. Tired and just wanting to get home, I called 4 or 5 tow places from Yelp. After someone finally answered, they told me it'd be about 90 minutes to come get us. I agreed and we settled in. 90 minutes later, there's no tow truck and now they're not answering their phone and it's 3:30 in the morning. And we're on the side of the road. In Oakland. So, we start calling places again. My husband thought that maybe calling someone closer to home would be a better idea - they'd drive to come get us, and then be close to home base when they dropped us off. We called B&D Towing. I'm pretty sure we woke the driver up, but he took our info and said he'd be on his way. Hallelujah! He calls back about 20 minutes later to confirm where we are, and about 20 minutes after that he rolls down the street, lit up like a long haul trucker. So, by about 4:30, the bike is loaded on the flatbed, all strapped down and approved by the husband (who tows shit around for a living) and we climb in the truck. It is brand new, super clean, pleasant smelling. We drive the half hour home, and watch the sun start to come up (it was June). We chatted with the driver (Yeager, maybe?) and he was super friendly. We get home, unload the bike, pay the man and crawl into bed around 6. Finally, that "adventure" was over. read more

My car was stolen last July & was picked up by this tow company and brought to their facility, instead of running the plates and contacting police , the brought it to there tow yard to charge me 315 for it being there for less then a couple of hours . Asked if I wanted to drive my car onto it, or have him do it (I opted for him to drive). He carefully and slowly put my car onto the truck. Expert handling of my Tesla, and even knew the phone app has all the info he needed to complete his forms. I have medical issues which put me at high risk and due to Covid and location there was no restroom facilities available. Professionalism is lacking. I live in Sacramento- The land of car break-ins! This morning I get to my car and all of the wheels and tires are stolen- the car left on concrete bricks! What a wonderful way start to my day! I have a AAA membership to get my car towed and they told me I could not get a tow for a car without wheels, so I called AAA Insurance and they told me the only towing company that would do that is in Concord. Later on that day, Gino from B&D Who arrived in a big flatbed truck. He had a quite a time trying to get it on the flatbed and it finally worked after multiple attempts-then he safely got it the yard. B&D towed my truck and did not put the gear shift bar back correctly. It shifted and kicked out while I was driving, which is super unsafe but luckily, I didn't have an accident. Their negligence could have caused a lot of harm to myself or other drives, and less importantly, could have significantly damaged my truck. I do not recommend their services and if you have to deal with them, double check your car for damage. I recommend United Towing instead - super reliable, friendly, and competent unlike B&D. read more

I am beyond frustrated!! My car got towed at 9pm last night and I immediately called B&D to retrieve my car. I was very respectful, considering this was my fault that it was towed as I had no business parking there. The dispatcher (very rude lady) stated that a driver would call me back with information on my car. The driver called me back 30 minutes later and told me he had my car, how much it would be, and gave me the address to B&D. I showed up 30 minutes later only for the location to be CLOSED (this in itself is insanity, why on earth would the company be out towing cars and close when patrons want to pick up their cars?!). I called the guy who called me about my car and told him I was at the garage and he told me that he as "AT HOME!" And that he "assumed I was coming tomorrow." What would make you think I would come tomorrow when it is only 10:30PM at night?! I want my car!!! I then had to call the dispatcher back in order for someone who was not at HOME, to come to the garage to release my car. No one contacted me back. It is now, 10:37AM and I am STILL trying to retrieve my car! The company is trying to keep the car as long as possible in order for fee's to build up. This is heartless and it should be illegal!! listen i will be putting this on both Lafayette & Concord but on july 3rd i was coming home from san francisco, we were driving down the 680 and met the fork that separates the pittsburg and martinez freeways. i was on the farthest left lane for highway 4 traveling towards pittsburg, when one of these trucks changed their mind last minute and decided to cut through to get to the other freeway heading towards martinez. i wouldn't care so much because to be frank the bay area is filled with dumb ass drivers, but i had my child in the car & my mother. i think it's ridiculous to be driving so fucking reckless when you have a company name on your vehicle. a car almost rear ended us because of this trucks sudden change of plans. but get your fucking shit together. i think it's so nice that y'all would do some fast and furious type shit in a tow truck to get to your customers. but slow the fuck down. i'm still beyond pissed over this situation. if it was just me in the car i wouldn't have tripped cause if the lord wants to take me out ok coo but my entire ass mother & child ?????! come on. anyways someone obviously got their license at the pittsburg dmv. negative stars if i could but y'all get one cause yelp or whatever. tootles. this isn't even a troll review i'm seriously pissed y'all better hope the car behind me didn't have a dash cam cause again wtf. read more
