This is the first time that we had to use a tow that was not part of AAA program. AAA only takes cars from your home to a shop or from a shop to another shop not from a shop to your home if that makes sense. Ace did an awesome job as well as his staff and were able to accommodate us right away as we needed our car towed from the Mercedes dealer back to our home. My brother-in-law had to have his Jeep towed to the dealership- it would not start at all, even with a jump. The steering did not work, so Brently managed to maneuver the truck to back in almost perfectly straight (on a narrow street on a hill) to pull the jeep onto the truck. There was still a bit of shifting he had to do to get it on, and it was wild to watch. Small changes to turn the jeep a bit at a time- he figured it out. One of my cars acted up yesterday morning so I had to call for a flatbed to get it out to my mechanic in Hayward. Thanks to my AAA membership, an otherwise $200 tow didn't cost me anything this time. The flat bed truck that arrived was a really nice one too. I've never ridden in a Nissan flat bed before and this thing was pretty impressive with it's large window area. It was easily the nicest tow truck I've ever been in. Anyway, the reason that I'm reviewing Ace Sierra is because the tow truck driver I had was so cool! Broken down on the side of the road, I didn't know what to expect, but when he got there, he was really great and it turned out that he was a car guy too. Jarad (spelling?) had the greatest personality and was a true professional. He genuinely cares about his customers and went above and beyond the call of duty. Everything he did had a little extra care. I had the greatest time talking to him on the way to Hayward and he truly turned a potentially painful occasion into a pleasant one. I didn't want to impose, but after we left the car with my mechanic, he even dropped me at BART. This alone would have impressed me, but he was having some health problems with a bad back and yet went out of his way to be awesome. Beyond cool! He is truly an asset to the company and I hope that they appreciate him. read more

Let me start off by saying that I did not actually use these guys. I had a tire fall off of a little trailer I was hauling from clear lake to san jose. It was on veterans day at about 2pm. I called my AAA service to be informed that my plus member plan did not cover trailers. I could upgrade but it would take 2 days to process. Thanks for nothing. I googled local companies and called two, one being Sierra. The first company I called wanted pics of the trailer and a screen shot of my location on Google maps, even though I told them I just came over the Benicia bridge and was on the side of southbound 680. I sent them what they asked for and the wait began. While waiting, I called these guys. The phone was answered promptly, a few pertinent questions were asked and a quote of $350 was given. I thought it was kind of high but it was what it was. I thanked the man on the phone and told him I would have to call him back. A minute or two later, I got a call back from company #1. $675!!! I about had a heart attack. The trailer isn't even worth that and there's nothing even on it. After a couple minutes, I decided to load my dogs into the cab with the kids and my wife and I lifted the trailer into the truck and hauled a** home. All in all it turned I to a laughable experience, once we were home anyway. I just wanted to post this because there was a huge difference in price. Made me feel like these guys were honest and trustworthy. Also made me feel like the other outfit was looking to rip me off. If I am in need of their service in the future, I will definitely give them a call. I recommend anyone else to do the same. read more

I cannot begin to express the gratitude i have for this company. Richard who has been working as a tower for over 35 years, used his quick wit and years of experience to get us out of a sticky situation. I reversed into the side of the rode en route to Mt. Diablo at quite a weird angle, with half the car stuck in a creek and the other half on the road. Richard helped get us out after many unsuccessful tries because the angle of the car was stuck in such a weird place. But thank god he didnt quit. I DONT KNOW HOW but he managed to get a car that was halfway stuck in a creek/rocks onto the road WITHOUT any mechanical damages to the car. Sure there are minor cosmetic damages under the frame but they are barely noticeable. I was able to drive home safely thanks to Richard, im glad i called Ace SIerra Towing :) ! read more

Got my 98 chevy tahoe towed due to registration. 4 days later after got paid did everything i had to do to get it out. Now it doesnt start. Never had a pronlem before starting, now got towed one time and it wont start. Due to the fact that when it was parked in a public parking lot downtown. A few times a tow truck would pull in there at night. Looking around from Ace Sierra towing. Also they have a chevy tahoe that someone is working on in the same yard, a different year but not by much. So how does a car that has been towed that always started not start now. Kinda fishy if you ask me. I will be going to small claims court on this matter either against the martinez police department or/and Ace Sierra towing. Between the 4 miles or less it got towed can do something to not make it start?? Seems like foul play to me. If you ever get your vehicle towed by them, I dont know what to tell you except I hope your car doesnt match any of their personal vehicles! Gonna takenit to the shop for inspection. I just changed the fuel pump last year cant be that they dont go bad in less then a year. It started everytine now it doesnt. read more

Richard is absolutely amazing. He moved my tiny house on wheels into a VERY difficult and tight spot. Months before the move, he talked me through his plans on how he was going to move it and even visited the location beforehand on his own time to make sure it was doable. He was incredibly accommodating with timing and was very understanding throughout the entire process, despite the difficulty and unique nature of this move. The day of, he troubleshooted a few hiccups and thought through solutions, when he very easily could've left and given up. The move took a few hours since it was such a tough situation, and I felt the price was very fair and honest. Mauricio saved the day for my fiancée and I!! After a routine trip to the grocery store, we came out to a flat tire on our car. After calling Triple AAA and waiting for an hour for the tow truck company (not Mauricio's company) to come out, the driver attempted to inflate our spare for some reason and broke the stem valve causing us to not only have a ruined spare, but also to be forced to get another tow truck to get us home. The driver said it would be another two hours for a driver to get us which really sucked to hear. 15 minutes later we got a call from Triple AAA saying a new tow company, Ace Sierra and specifically Mauricio had heard what we had been through and was on his way to save us. Mauricio not only helped us with the tow when the other company who initially broke our spare did not, but was kind enough to drop us off at home after taking our car to the shop.
