My car was towed from an accident and the driver was rude and did not disclose storage fees. I asked to have the car towed to my house, but he talked me out of it claiming I didn't not want the fluids in my driveway. I was told the tow would be $200 and I could take a day to think about signing it over. They charged me $300 when I came to the office to pay the tow (less than 24 hours later) and get the car released. They were rude and untrustworthy. Receptionist even asked me to tell her my PIN number when charging my card. Who does that??? The young man who retrieve my vehicle was nice and considerate, apologizing for our treatment. read more

I would never trust just any towing company for my great old car. I had a very challenging tow job, and ATCO far exceeded my expectations. Kevin did a heroic job of getting my large old car with 4 flat tires onto the tow truck's flatbed. He was a gentleman throughout the whole process. I could imagine I was the most frustrating customer he ever endured, but he was not only highly professional, but very courteous, too. It was a long haul out of the area for him. Kevin gets 5 stars (and more). ATCO is very competitive when it comes to towing rates. Try them and compare. They beat all the others I called for comparison shopping. These people are CROOKS! My car was towed and stored there for a little over 1 day about 26 hours I was charged $660 to get it out smfh. To top it off they stole money out my wallet which was $40 and a box of clippers that I use for my profession as a barber. My morning starts off with a flat tire. Errr. I immediately go on trusted yelp to find a tow truck. I find this company with good probably fake reviews. I give them a call and was advised estimated 30 minutes. Ok, great so I set it up. Maybe I can still make it to work on time. I'm watching my mirror about 25 minutes in to it waiting for my help to arrive. Then I get a phone call that they have to cancel because they have a police call that is priority and they only have class one driver! Ummm..... my driver should be here within the next 5 minutes. I'm told nope it will now be a 1 hour and 45 minute wait. ... Now at the same time Concord Police arrive lights flashing and all because I'm broke down on a busy road. I advise them that this tow company is crap. They called another tow with a 5-10 minute arrival. Perfect so I have 5-10 minutes to write this review tool warn you that this company is not reliable. I ran out of gas in Concord taking my daughter to Gymnastics, and I had to drive my son to guitar lessons in Pleasant Hill. Having to be somewhere in 30 minutes, I quickly called ATCO towing and told them my situation. Worst business ever. The employees (especially the larger woman in the office) are lazy and rude. They ignore the customers in the store front and spend time on the phone instead or browsing online. All The place was disgusting, dusty and dirty. I hope nobody ever has to go to this company. I would never recommend going into this hole of a place ever. Their employees will also quote you a different price on the phone, then when you show up in store they add up phony charges up to 1/3 higher than quoted on the phone. I don't even think that is legal in California. Shame on you. Worst experience ever. I would give negative stars if I could. read more

Horrible customer service!! Too bad a zero isn't possible here. Spoke with a woman on the phone (wouldn't give me her name) for a quote on a pick up and drop off. Once I received the quote, I told her that I'll probably go with another company because their quote was 3 times less than the one that she gave me. She laughed me off the phone and hung up in my face. Very unprofessional. When I called to speak to the owner, I was told, essentially, that he doesn't take phone calls from customers and I received no resolve or satisfaction in being at the receiving end of a very rude person providing "customer service" to potential patrons. Have you ever heard the definition of a Ford? Found On Road Dead. This is what happened to me with my old Ford, while driving out to visit my daughters in the East Bay. It is so stressful to be stuck on the freeway, with your car smoking and cars whizzing by. I called ATCO Towing and I have never been so glad to see anybody pull up. The driver did everything to make me feel comfortable and towed the car to a shop. I guess dead means dead after all, as I bought a new car. I wouldn't hestitate to call this company again. I went to Atco tow in concord today to remove my belongings out of my car. A lovely lady by the name of FAY went above and beyond to help me out in any way possible she could. Its nice to know we still have good people in this world. Also a gentlemen by the name of Andrew helped me out as well and him himself was also very kind. My daughters car broke down in the middle of the night. She called the police for help & they had ATCO Tow her car & impound it. When she contacted ATCO to find out what she needed to do, the woman she spoje to was rude and acted as if she were trying to neglect her responsibility. My daughter explained that at the time when the towing occured, her job had just gone out of business and she was looking for a job & had no money to handle this. She did not call sooner because so she had been trying to get the money together to pay for it. The woman continued to treated her like a criminal, accused her of being irresponsible and abandoning the car. When she explained what had happened leading up to the towing, one of the male employees yelled, "Well next time don't buy a piece of shit car and abandon it!", which was uncalled for, unprofessional & not the case. When my daughter asked what she was supposed to do, as she has never been in this situation before, the response was, what are you going to do. She responded that she didn't know what her options were. The same male employee responded "well are you going to keep doing this?", as if this was a regular occurence for her, when it was already explained that neither of us have been in this situation, so we did not know what to do. There was more judgemental unprofessional accusations thrown at us, but in the interest of time, they yelled at us, made unfounded accusations and treated us like common criminals. The entire interaction with them, from the initial phone call, to the office visit, was rife with Rude, Disrespectful Judgement and NO professionalism to speak of. I left shaking and on the verge of tears. I have never experienced such deplorable customer service, nor have I ever left a place of business feeling like someone had been attempting to goad me into a physical altercation. When the brakes on our boat trailer failed, it looked like our weekend plans we're dead in the water. We we're looking at a 4 hour haul from the bay area to Tahoe and we had no idea what it might cost or if we could even find someone on short notice. I don't write many reviews but felt my experience was worth sharing. I came out of class one night to find that my car wouldn't start. As a woman alone on campus at night, I was nervous waiting for the tow truck and didn't know what to expect once the tow truck came. I was pleasantly surprised that the driver was nice, pleasant to deal with and comforting in my situation. Definitely not the creepy rap that tow truck drivers get!
