Service was very good, I only been in the morning for breakfast but what I can say is the food is pretty good

My pics are pretty bad, because I was hungry and didn't have time for any retakes. Anywho! Here's what I had: + MINCED PORK "DIXIE STYLE" BBQ SANDWICH w/cole slaw (it's a small cup, about 2-bites) + ONION RINGS I'm normally not a fan, but I wanted to give these a shot. So glad I did. It was the perfect topping for my BBQ sandwich. This place is BUSY, but the service is calm. The wait wasn't bad, considering the flow of traffic. There were plenty of call in orders, so that might be the best way to go. **NOTES** There's also an ice cream parlor around back/on the other side of the building. It's seasonal, and open April-November. Seating: Several picnic tables. Parking: Small lot. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Unique little place right off 210, we wanted to try the ice cream but didn't end up having room for anything else, so we will have to be back. We tried the onion ring, and they def needed salt. It's a crispy outside but needs a punch of salt to activate taste buds from all that oil flavor. The cheese fries were not our favorite. We did try both the Yankee and Dixie style bbq submarines. The Dixie was definitely the better of the two, more juicy and flavorful with a little smokiness. The Yankee style tasted a slightly more smoky taste and a little dryer. We got both subs with the coleslaw on the sub. Lastly, we got the wings. We ordered mambo sauce with them but sadly we didn't get the sauce. We only had the dry rub which was okay. Since we just moved into town and didn't have all our condiments at home, this made for a very dry wing since there was absolutely no sauce with them lol I think we will be back to maybe try breakfast or the ice cream

I noticed this place for the very first time because there was a fairly long line of customers--at 8:30 AM in the morning. When I drove past it again at lunch (for the second time), the line was even longer. "If all these folks are willing to do this, the food has got to be good", I said to myself. As I didn't have a lot of wiggle room to deviate from my main task for being in Accokeek, I just ordered some fries and onion rings to-go. Oh. My. Goodness. They were divine. The onion rings are made fresh, and that's so very hard to find nowadays. If I lived in the area, I'd be here on a regular basis.

Nice spot Food was good. I enjoyed the cheese fries. Jus like I like my fries. The steak and cheese was very fresh. My only complaint was my sub sandwich had no flavor. (No salt or pepper) or maybe I was to specify when I placed my order?. They have a ice cream parlor and is known for there pulled pork sandwiches which I have yet to try (I've heard there bomb.com) Ohhh and they have cakes and desserts and slushees. Gotta love this place.

I always see this place and people waiting outside for their food. Finally got to try it and it was just OK. I got the steak and cheese sandwich which is just similar to a Philly cheesesteak. I got it with provolone cheese. I thought it would be good but it didn't have much flavor. I think the meat needed some salt or seasoning because it was kind of bland even with the mayo. The fries were good and it was crispy on outside and soft of the inside. My buddy got the fried chicken wings but said it was crispy but lacked flavor. Seems like a common theme.

We stopped because we saw a sign proclaiming oysters, and it's hard for us to pass by any tasty oyster place. I have to say, it's not New Orlean's po'boy good, but it's dang good! Highly recommend it if you want something delicious and filling and not an ounce fussy. Service was fast and friendly.

Disclaimer:COVID-19 first phase reopening and ice cream only After Piscataway Park I stopped here for ice cream since we missed lunch. The parking lot is tight since not only is there ice cream April-October but a very popular carry out attached to the same building. There were very clear signs "no mask, no service" and all employees I saw had on masks. I ordered a small hot fudge sundae-whipped cream, cherry, and nuts at no charge. We skipped the nuts. The small was perfect for my 18 month old and I to share. They were very generous with the hot fudge and whipped cream. Just a note, it's only soft serve here: chocolate, vanilla, or twist. They do have several milkshake flavors too. By the time I was done paying, our sundae was ready. There were several benches nearby and a couple round tables. It was definitely a refreshing treat on this hot day and I'd definitely stop back again.

This purple-colored brick carryout spot is just off Highway 210. Driving north to DC from a hike in Chapman State Park, my wife, daughter, and I stopped for lunch. It was during the COVID-19 shutdown. The staff wore masks, were friendly, and had a safe system in place for carryout food. We ordered a hot dog (our toddler loved it), two steak and cheese sandwiches, coleslaw, and bottled water. All things were great and cheap. Our total bill was $20. We didn't have time to stop by the soft-serve ice cream counter in the back, but we'll be back. The only thing to note is that the service was slow. This may because it was lunchtime on a holiday or due to COVID-19, but it was worth noting.

The steak & cheese sandwich and fried onion rings came out good and piping hot. Carry out service was great and outdoor seating was perfect.

We ended up with the fried turkey chops, crab and shrimp fries, and the "grilled" salmon over rice. I put the quotations around "grilled" because my salmon was certainly not grilled. I was about 80 percent sure it was fried (due to the general texture and crispy bits that dotted the outside). Unfortunately, that was the least of my problems with the salmon. The thinly cut piece of salmon was WAY overcooked. Large portions of it were akin to a jerky texture, and not only that, it was served over mushy overcooked minute rice with a sprarse dotting of the peppers and onions it promised. It was just a failure on all levels. The turkey chops were also overcooked. I'll give them that they looked well fried, emitting a golden brown hue, and we're seemingly quite crispy. But after biting in, the turkey that was revealed was stringy and lacked seasoning. The crab and shrimp fries were decent. I don't mean this as shade, but they do know how to cook their french fries. Even the fries that came with the turkey chops were nice and crispy. The crab and shrimp that was thrown on top of the fries could have used a bit more crab, but was overall decently seasoned using their own brand of "Mr. T Sauce" Unfortunately, the fries are not enough to bring me back... and I'd definitely go with one of the other food trucks that was there if given another chance.
