This local crab house has been in business for over 25 years! I've been driving past it and decided to stop in and check out the crabs and menu items. They have fresh fish, crab legs, shrimp scallops, and a of the seafood meals in between. I also learned today that they have a breakfast menu that I'm going to have to come back and try. Make no mistake about it....The reviews are fact! This place has some of the best seafood takeout & Maryland Blue Crabs around!! Great place to get seafood and surprisingly, even breakfast! From the minute I walked through the door to leaving, the customer service was top tier and everyone was very friendly. The owner, Tran, was the best and very helpful as well. Quality Seafood definitely left an impression on me, as a first timer. I came here during the Memorial Day weekend, looking for steamed Maryland Crabs and this place did not disappoint....both on the prices and quality! I called around to several locations around the DMV and as you can guess for a holiday weekend......the prices were all over the place. Some businesses were the worst in customer service or even answering my phone calls for simple questions regarding prices or availability, because no one wants to drive for miles to only get to a place and nothing is available. Not the case here at Quality Seafood. Tran and his staff were prompt and answered all of my questions when I called. Upon arriving, the owner presented the crabs available, and I must admit that they were great in size and quality..... all live and kicking!! The prices were incredible too. At that point, we worked out a deal and I ordered the crabs. They were cooked perfect and well seasoned. Everyone in my household and at our BBQ really enjoyed them. While waiting for my order, I had a chance to inspect the place and glance around since this was my first time here. The vibe is chill, mostly takeout with a small eating space. The storefront and inside is very clean..... with no weird smells. The seafood in the display case was very fresh as well, including the fish for sale. One stand out while waiting, was their offering for breakfast. The breakfast menu look really good. Judging off all of the traffic they were getting.... Lots of folks were ordering breakfast.... and get this out of all places....A Seafood joint!?? Who knew!? Not to mention, the lady next to me devouring her breakfast sandwich vouched that it was 'hellacious!!' lol I will definitely be back and Quality Seafood has definitely earned a new customer! The owner and staff were top notch. I was even given garlic butter and a paper roll to cover tables for free! You will never get this at most craft spots around DMV for free or as a service. I called ahead but only half the order was ready and the other half was forgotten about so I had to wait and they weren't even busy. The guy at the counter was very nice and friendly. Went to the soft opening of this small business, which is under new management. That owner- she real cool and her nails dope. The interior was clean, and it did not reek of barracuda like the far right corner of H-Mart. Conveniently located across from the liquor store on one of the busiest race tracks, so just remember to look both ways and run FAST. If you've got the munchies for some deliciouso seafood, then look no further! The name speaks for itself. Exquisite cuisine and fine dining 5/5. Tried almost the whole menu. May 4 2018 I ordered a dozen of female crabs and a dozen of male crabs waited20 mins and at pick up the Lady said someone picked up your order and showed me a ticket which I'm looking at her Lady I paid already I want what I paid for she tried to sell me their order which was a dozen male and three clusters of snow crabs I was heated she also said they ran out of females I was done so she gave me all males instead I will no longer give me money to Quailty Seafood because the quailty is not there their expensive for one and the taste was not good plus the crabs were dry and small I'm done with Quality I can't do it no more to the wharf I'm so glad I found out early. read more

Got a dozen large male crabs today. I know it's off season but they were light and a couple were actually empty. I know it's off season but at $40 a dozen the least they can do is feel them and make sure they're selling good weight for the price. read more

I went a few weeks back. They were not that big for #1 males but they were heavy. I know they are good as my sister in law brought some to a cookout and they were the bomb. I've been going here for over a decade probably longer; yes because my son is ten and I've been a customer long before he came along. I've never been disappointed even during the off season and during the bay restrictions. They are always welcoming and serve you like they want your business which is important. Love their catfish and tilapia. I like that they are also now open on Mondays. Only gave them 3 stars because they don't have red snapper my favorite. The couple is always very nice. Quality Seafood is horrible! I have had a bad experience every time that I have gone there. I took my daughter there to get fried oysters. Later that evening she was complaining about a bad stomachache. Later she was doubled over in pain. She was calling Roy and Earl if you know what I mean. Later we realized that she had FOOD POISONING from the fried oysters. On another occasion I stopped there to get crabs and the older lady was behind the counter. I asked her if I could see what the large crabs looked like so she pointed to a plastic crab on the wall. I told her that I wanted to see a real crab. I wanted to see the actual crabs before I purchased them She reluctantly went in the freezer and pulled a crab out of the basket. There crabs are extremely overpriced anyway. Needless to say, both of these incidents have turned my stomach and I will NEVER buy anything from them. I live less than 5 minutes from Quality Seeafood, but I will drive to Moe's on Indianhead or 35 minures to the Crab Galley in Bowie before I go there again. read more

Love this place. Crabs are always on point and cooked on the spot so you know they're fresh. Size is more or less the same as other places around but the quality here seems a bit more consistent. The ladies that work out front are nice and will help you with whatever you need. This is my once a week lunch spot. I definitely recommend for anyone that likes crabs or seafood. read more
