Stopped in here after work to pick up some of their yummy green beans and collard greens lol The chicken is good not as flavorful as other places but the service was fast and friendly. From the moment my plate arrived I could tell the food was going to be good at Kachi's Chicken. The half chicken meal was cooked perfectly, juicy inside with skin that was crispy and flavorful. The seasoning was just right and every bite tasted fresh. The sides were just as good, with soft and well seasoned yucca and fried plantains that were sweet and caramelized with a light crisp on the outside. Customer service every time I come in I use DoorDash they act as if they don't see you standing in the area they have for pickup. Today is my last time visiting or purchasing anything from them. Check your food before you leave! I ordered the de-boned chicken. I waited for 30 minutes to carry out my meal. When I arrived home, I noticed my food wasn't hot. After taking a few more bites, I noticed my chicken was actually not done. From the look of it, whoever cooked it forgot to flip it. I immediately made the 20 minute drive back to the restaurant. The food is generally pretty good. I have patronized this spot for several years. However the last meal I had included shrimp skewers, chicken and steak. I hadn't tried the steak before. The steak was very thin, hard to cut with a knife and hard to chew. Had a lot of gristle. After eating a third of it I gave up and gave to my dog unfortunately. Ordered delivery from grub hub. The food came pretty quickly. I ordered the Lomo Saltado (steak saltado) l and got chimichurri for $0.50 extra -- it was worth it. Absolutely awesome find just outside the Andrews AFB main gate. A rather new establishment, this place has a fantastic menu that not only tickles your taste buds but fills your belly! Although the chicken dishes are delicious, my ultimate favorite is the grilled lamb chops. Four good sized, juicy, beautifully spiced, and perfectly cooked lamb chops awaited my growling belly...but that wasn't all!!! Solid 4. Food was excellent but the service needs improvement; understandable since they just opened. Ceviche mixto was good, not too sour and they give you the leche de tigre separate when you get it to go so it won't spill and preserves the integrity. The lettuce underneath was fresh and crunchy. The cancha (fried corn) was yummy- crispy with big bits of salt. It comes with sweet potato and the big Peruvian corn. We also got a half chicken- seasoned well. The fried rice was flavorful and not too greasy with chunks of egg. The plantains were very good, one of the best I've had in the area- not soggy, not dry, but also with bits of caramelization. Kachi's chicken is amazing. We've tried a few things on their menu and they are all delicious! In order of preference: Pescado frito- fried fish. This fish is AMAZING!!!!!! So fresh and they give you so much. The flavor is delicious and you get two sides with it too. Would recommend the green beans and the plantains. I'm going to have a hard time trying anything else on their menu after ordering this because I loved it so much. Flan- a delicious dessert- the perfect way to end your meal Cilantro chicken- the chicken is really thin and smothered in this great sauce. Comes on a tiny bed of rice with 2 sides again. I really enjoyed it! Carne asada- a great bang for your buck if you want steak. Bowl with steak- this is what to get if you are feeling healthy. It comes with your choice of chicken, steak or shrimp on a bed of rice and beans and topped with a ton of shredded lettuce, cheese, corn and tomatoes. Yum! I would recommend calling in your order or placing it online because the food is made to order so it takes awhile- both times we picked up it took around half an hour. It is totally worth it though! I had Peruvian chicken from the rotisserie, cilantro rice and plantains for lunch. If you order the rotisserie chicken, it is quick. We had a few folks wait for their lunch because they ordered fajitas and a grilled chicken dish. Everyone got various sides and we all enjoyed them. Yuca, cream spinach, plantains, fried rice, cilantro rice (this was delicious), fries, and green beans (if I remember everything ordered :). The folks there were really friendly and there is a lot of seating area. We sat in a side room with tables and it wasn't as loud as the main area. We all really enjoyed the meal. Kachis Peruvian chicken is definitely a 5-star dish. Two of their other dishes brought the rating down. My wife and I frequent this place for the Peruvian chicken. We decided to try something different (regrettably). We got a Chicharrón con Celery with Platanitos Fritos, a Tallarín Saltado, and Peruvian Chicken with 2 sides.    The Chicharrón con Celery is an appetizer consisting of boneless fried chicken and one side dish. It came with a dipping sauce that tasted like ranch dressing with a little tomato sauce added. It tasted fine but not special. The chicken meat was dry in some of the pieces and moist in others. There was no marinade flavor in the meat, and it was a little chewy. That's a problem that needs to be fixed. The breading was thin and crispy with no flavor. I expected some adobo, paprika, or anything with some flavor to be in it. That's another hint to the owners. With some small changes, this dish could be very good. Chicharrón means pork rind in Spanish. Why is this chicken dish called that? Go figure. The side that we got with this appetizer was called Platanitos Fritos. It was sliced plantain fried in oil. It was sweet, soft, and not too starchy. If you love fried plantain, this version should please you.    Tallarín Saltado contains steak or chicken sautéed in olive oil with onions, tomatoes, and fettuccine. We chose steak. The sliced steak strips were overcooked to the point that it was a little dry and chewy. The onions and tomatoes were cut into big pieces, making it difficult to get a forkful of the dish with all of the different ingredients. The sauce was olive oil with the taste of salt, pepper, and cilantro in it. This was a simple tasting and oily sauce. It was missing soy sauce and ginger. If you think of this dish as a Peruvian Spaghetti aglio e olio, then it's pretty good. I hate Spaghetti aglio e olio. We won't be getting this again.    We got a 1/2 Peruvian chicken, dark meat. That means that you get 2 leg quarters. The skin was crispy with a smoky flavor. The meat was savory, moist, and tender. An excellent example of Peruvian chicken made right!! Two sides come with all sizes of Peruvian chicken except for the Whole Chicken Special and the Kachis Brasa Family Special. Those get more sides and sodas. The 2 sides that we picked were mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. The mashed potatoes were made using red potatoes with the skin intact. It was thick and smooth with a good potato flavor. The creamed spinach needed seasoning. The cream sauce was plain tasting. The spinach was fresh.    There is no table service here. You order at the cash register and then walk along the counter, choosing sides and sauces. Pick up your food at the end of the counter. The desserts are in a self-serve refrigerator, and drinks are dispensed from a self-serve machine. If your food needs time to cook, they'll call your receipt number when it's ready. Chicken is quick because it's ready-made. Everything else takes time. Lamb takes the longest, about 20 minutes. The dining rooms and restrooms were clean. There were 2 large dining rooms with a casual atmosphere. They had plastic ware, paper cups, and thin napkins. This place is busy during lunch, but not too busy during dinner. I gladly recommend this restaurant for their Peruvian rotisserie chicken. read more

I ordered dinner online through Grubhub and the process was smooth. I walked in and the place was clean, it smelled amazing, and the signs led me to the pick up area. I was immediately greeted by one of the workers who quickly found my order and I was out the door. The food was still warm when I got home and I couldn't wait to try because of the great reviews. I can see why they are so popular. The chicken was moist and flavored perfectly. The fried yuca and string beans were seasoned perfectly as well.
